  1. I had a 1m+ snake skittering up the patio towards me and my wife while we stay at her Mom's house up North waiting for Covid19 to subside. No problem, picked up my chair and bashed its head in with the chair leg. Picked the dead snake with a shovel and threw it into the river across the street for the crocodiles to enjoy. Bye Bye snake.

As we know, anything goes here.

Trying to find a clear definition in the Thai highway is difficult.

In the UK Highway Code you are required to stop when the amber light (alone) shows:

"AMBER means ‘Stop’ at the stop line. You may go on only if the AMBER appears after you have crossed the stop line or are so close to it that to pull up might cause an accident."

In Thailand, the Amber Light means go faster!

This argument makes no sense. The government isn’t responding to the current total number of deaths. It is responding to an infectious disease that has the potential to increase the number it kills exponentially. It’s increased more than 18 times in the last month! 18 times!!!!!

This Numbers are skewed due to the fact it is quite scary as it has the ability to constantly mutate. Plus, it is being acquired by animals also. This virus is quite unpredictable. No symptoms for some and then they drop dead in a week. People reported cured have a relapse rate of 20%. If this virus was produced in a Bio-Weapons (Level 4) in Wuhan, then I must say the researchers had done a magnificent job. However, it bit them in the Ass when the virus escaped the facility.

This is exactly what I wrote in a different way; where is my incorrection?

The incorrection is your stating relationship was started in 1833 for Commerce. Diplomatic Relations were established in 1818. There is a huge difference in establishing Diplomatic ties and the Treaty of Amity and Commerce. That is like comparing pineapples and coconuts. The year of 1818 is correct. Thailand and America has had Diplomatic Ties for 202 years.

    Very optimistic the lady;
the first diplomatic exchanges between the two countries date from 1833, so much less than 200 years ago.

and as a member rightly points out a little higher, during the 2nd world war, Thailand was Japan's ally therefore in the axis of evil.

You are incorrect. Taken from the U.S. Embassy website:

The United States and Thailand established relations in 1818 and signed a Treaty of Amity and Commerce in 1833, formalising diplomatic relations. The Treaty of 1833 was the United States' first treaty with a country in Asia, making Thailand truly our oldest friend in the region. We invite you to learn more about the long ...

What a stand up bunch of people you Americans have leading you!

The secretary of the navy, in the middle of a pandemic, flies 8000 miles to chastise crewmen and women who are being hit by this virus... you couldn’t make this stuff up.

Shows the level of care this administration has for its service people.

Looks like trump succeeded in draining the swamp....and replacing it with a open air festering sewerage pond.

Actually, Acting Secretary of the Navy.

Well, the man, and I use that term loosely was horrible the way he dressed down the Captain in that speech he made.  He himself did more to discredit the service and the DOD more than that ship's Captain could ever have been imagined to.  What a small man that probably would have been fragged by day two had he served in the field in Vietnam.

Yep, he might have made it for, eh 3 weeks. Kabloooey!

  8. I put in a bunch of banknotes in the washing machine along with detergent, 1 cup of vinegar and 2 tablespoons of baking soda and after washing they went into the air dryer. Then hung them on a line set up directly towards the Sun. When dry, the Wife ironed them nice and wrinkle free. Not sure if it's 100% effective, but they sure look good.

  9. Me and my Wife left the City two months ago and came up to Phichit Province and are staying with her family. I had a feeling the SHF was coming and we decided to be safe than sorry. A week ago, her and a group of family members traveled to Samut Prakan to pick up her son and his gear as his work-study program was over. I remained at the house. The following morning, she called up the Hospital to get he son tested due to his extended stay in Samut Prakan. She was told that her son would be placed on a list to get tested and will be contacted when. Then She was told everyone in the pick up who travelled had to be on a 14 day quarantine. I was included also, even Though I stayed home. The reason being I sleep with her. With this virus having an incubation period of 3 days, so far so good as no one has any symptoms. Also, her son sleeps alone in an upstairs room. I have to go to the hospital on 02 APR for a check up. Yes, I will be wearing a mask there for sure. My wife has a bottle of Hygienic spray for every ones hands and goes around spraying alcohol and windex on all door knobs, handles etc. We are taking every precaution possible.

  10. I take 3 Zinc tablets every day for years. I have seen an improvement in my health through the years. It did not protect me from Dengue Fever which I caught two years ago. However, nothing is a magic cure all. I did get a Yellow Fever inoculation for my travels to Africa. Did not catch it. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Stay careful Mates, listen to qualified advice from notable sources and not bar stool BS. WHO, Mayo Clinic etc.
