Just the sign of the times for Thailand. Won't be the last either.

Thailand had sold some of its Gold reserves this week due to the slumping economy. Also, an unknown or unreported party sold $1 Billion of Gold also this week. Multiple factors contribute to the volatility of the Global Gold Market.

Spot on with that post. I have seen it with my own eyes also. The Chinese stay at the P+ Hotel on Soi Excite on fully paid junkets. The first thing they do when they get dropped off at the Hotel is to head on to the nearby 7-11.

Looks like a possible hate crime. Police should investigate this. America is the melting pot of the World. I am originally from New York, so being with people from just about anywhere, you will hear multitudes of languages spoken on the Avenues of The City. The company I worked had people from 60 different Countries.

First move someone has to do is a stress test on a piece from that rubble. Then check the batch loading ticket for the batch time and compare it with the pour time. Life span of Concrete is only 90 minutes. Then it starts to set in redi-mix drum. Next check the quality of the sand. That is of high importance. I looked at the photo and surmised the rebar is too thin for that much weight to support. Also, how much cement powder per batched metre of concrete. 3-4-5/ 50 kg. bags per metre? Also, was a slump test done before pour? These are all critical in an investagation. And yes, I am an expert of cement as I was in the business for many years.

There are 26,000 gun laws on the books at State and National levers. How many more are needed to curb another incident like this? 1,000, 5,000, 20,000? Enforce the laws in place instead. Chicago has the most restrictive laws in place. However it is Murder capitol in the US due to criminals having guns. Does anyone with some brain matter in their head think criminals would obey the laws? NO, they would not. Gun free zones are the biggest joke in the US as criminals think Yes, this is a Christmas present for them. Gun control to me is a steady aim.

!8 years, 5.7 Trillion USD, Thousands of US military deaths and wounded, Uncountable Afghani dead and wounded and still keeps going. Afghanistan has never been conquered since the days of Genghis Khan. Afghanistan is a treasure trove of mineral wealth. A report done by the US conclude it contains 4 Trillion USD of Gold, silver and especially Rare Earths. Plus that report is decades old. It is my understanding that China is ready to move into Afghanistan and start projects and tap into the minerals there. Once the US is out, China will move in to develop the Country. 18 years for what US? Get out ASAP and learn one lesson. You cannot conquer unconquered people. If Genghis Khan failed along with others that followed, that should have given thought for going in the first time around.

I contacted Dengue Fever while living in Pattaya. I spent 3 days in Hospital receiving antibiotics via a drip line. It's no joke, it just sapped the energy out of me. Thankfully, I received great medical care while in Hospital and was fit enough to be discharged and return home after three day stay.

He will probably be confined to a cell in a SHU. (Special Housing Unit) Due to the nature of the crime, ex- policeman and his ethnicity. He wouldn't last long in General Population. I am astonished he was convicted because in Amerika police are usually found not guilty. R.I.P. to his victim and the scale of Justice weighed down on him. I believe that 25+ civilian deaths were due to terrorist activity and over 500+ civilian deaths due to police gunning them down last year in total. I believe an individual last month was surrendering to the police unarmed and his hands up high. Yet, he had been shot 20 times. The DDR Stasi would have been proud of the Police actions.

I understand perfectly about Thai driving personally. My wife was driving home with her motorcycle side cart after a day of selling food and ice cream. Well, she crashed on the way home flipping the motorbike and side cart. Not paying attention I surmise. No other vehicle involved. Wrecking them both and injuring herself with multiple bruises. And NOT wearing a helmet. We have multiple helmets home. I exploded on her regarding no helmet. She was very lucky as the cart flipped on the right side throwing her into the grass. Now, she definitely wears one each time she leaves on her other motorbike. Luck and Buddha were with her that day. She has been driving 25 years without a D/L. I cannot convince her to get one. Typical Thai answer,"No problem" Up to you I replied. I gave up.
