  1. From all accounts Swedish prisons are classed as good as your 5 star hotels he will enjoy a life of luxury without having to worry about paying any bills filling his belly with food to me that is not punishment !! R.I.P to those he killed and my thoughts and prayers to those who still suffer from this mad madmans actions .

I don`t see what Swedish prisons have to do with this. This maniac is going to spend the rest of his life in an Norwegian prison. I can assure you all that this has nothing to do with a life in luxury. After 10 years the court have to consider if he still are a threat to the community, and if they consider him to be that they just keep him in prison until he has served 21 years. After that the court has to do the same procedure every 5 years, and can do that until the bastard checks out of this world. He gets an 8 square meter cell, with a bed, a table, achair and a tv. Not much luxury. If he ever will be in the situation that he meet other inmates I think the courts work is over.

BANGKOK: -- The Transport Ministry will convene an urgent meeting today, following the unexpected 1-hour disruption of the radar system at Suvarnabhumi Airport which affected a number of flights yesterday.

As the system is linked with that one at Don Mueang Airport, no flight could land or depart from both airports during 6.15-7.12 pm. Of total 8 arrival flights affected, four were diverted to U-Tapao airport in Rayong. After refilling at U-Tapao, the six flights returned to Suvarnabhumi. Departure flights were delayed by more than 2 hours.

It was reportedly that the radar system was disrupted by a brief power blackout, while the subsidiary power source could not be activated.

In his radio interview to FM101 today, Transport Minister Jarupong Ruangsuwan said that officials at the meeting would find out what really happened to the radar system.

He noted that it was fortunate that the mishap occured and was solved before 10pm, the busiest period for Suvarnabhumi Airport.

In Thailand the aircrafts do not need to have any fuel reserves, and I do not think they carries any single liter more than usually necessary for the normal flight. SAFETY FIRST !!!!
  3. It looks like posters forgot the part about the appeal.

Go back and check your country's laws again about bail...

For those wondering why poor people are given support for their bail, please do some research, there are very good reasons wrt justice.

In my country (and yours) convicted felons remain incarcerated pending appeal.

Sorry to say it, but a quick search will tell you otherwise.

    Gimme a link.

I`m from Norway, and in Norway nobody can be released by bail. I think thats a better system than undeveloped systems that involves money.
  4. "He said local officials would have to crack down on these gangs or he would visit the provinces himself to deal with the problem." If he don`t se improvments and has to visit them, somebody will be transfered.

I think expensive taxis is a minor problem versus all the tourists that cant return home because they are dead by some kind of poisioning, it be by dirty food or premediated acting.

  5. No it means Air Asia Philippine are, not Air Asia X or Thai Air Asia.

As a foot note - Air Asia Philippine never flew to Europe, but Air Asia X did.

But I thoght Air Asia Philippine is owned 100% by Air Asia Malaysia as all the other Air Asia airliners.

If they don`t take good care of the safety in Air Asia Philippine, how can we trust they are doing it in the other airliners ?
