It would appear that her answers didn't satisfy the Officer. I think they just want to double check to be sure, to be sure as the Irish often say.
Or may be their excuse to get out of the Office for an hour or two

My KR 2 is 15 years old. We have never been asked for an updated copy at Chaengwattana or at the Suan Plu Offices.
In other areas it has been reported that some Immigration Offices have asked for a current version.

Lopburi,
Clothing hung together not needed now unless they have moved the target again. Not to my knowledge anyway but I am talking Chaeng Wattana HQ
-
As As I stated earlier two copies of the Application docs are only needed if you are NOT applying at Chaeng Wattana Head Office.
-
They need two copies of the docs only when they send one copy to Bangkok for approval.

It was reported recently that Bangkok didn't need an updated KR 2. I am unsure for next month's renewal?

......eating a variety of Thai foods prepared by Thais. To repeat:-Generally, Thais don't eat soft boiled eggs and have no need for egg cups. Obviously. mixed families may eat them.

Rather Off topic. Incidentally. how many years have you been here?
Me? close to 30 years.

Just to report that my visit to Ikea was successful and that I now possess a lovely egg cup plus a couple of other items
Getting there on a Saturday afternoon was the biggest problem with loads of traffic jams I used to know the Bang na area very well but now the new buildings and road interchanges were confusing. The Store is very interesting, a large variety of items for sale and generally well made. Next to the Ikea building is a Mega store, Home pro and a Robinsons so one could spend all day there. Thanks for suggesting Ikea but not on a Saturday

Yes, I understand the problem. In my case they understood what I was saying but as they had never heard of an egg cup, i had to clarify in Thai what it was used for. Generally, Thais don't eat soft boiled eggs and have no need for egg cups. My Thai wife has never heard of an egg cup neither

Many thanks for the various replies. I have decided that a visit to Ikea is needed because I have found two more items in their catalogue that I would like to buy. I did try something similar to shot glasses before I started the thread but I wanted something more stable. Hopefully, the Ikea egg cups should fill the bill nicely.
Please report if you find more egg cups for sale elsewhere.
Thanks again for the ideas and assistance

I spoke to the Central staff in Thai and they understood

Yes, that's another good suggestion.
Just checked their website and indeed they have a nice one for 99 Baht. Bangna isn't too far away and a visit seems worthwhile.
Cheers.

How interesting. I never even thought of J.J. as a possibility. I think I know the area you mean.

I am sure there must be more places in Bangkok. There are loads of Expats in the Sri Nakarin Rd area Sukhumvit, Nana area and so on.

Verasu wireless road
Sent from my GT-I9300 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app
Verasu are rather expensive but I'll check out their Chaeng Wattana Branch next time I pass. At least that's one place to try. Thanks.
Any more?

I tried Central and they didn't know what I was talking about.
Anybody seen them in a Shop in Bangkok? I don't mind pottery or stainless steel ones

I suggest that you have any lease Contract translated into English so that you know what you are signing for. Any later dispute will be settled using the thai language version. I doubt you would have any work permit issues with Thais running the business. My wife runs our business, pays the tax and all I do is a bit of maintence and repair work. In other words nothing more than I would do naturally if it was purely a home and not combined with our business..

Ahhhhh it's creeping outwards ! The Bangna office , their are a few banks at the market area nearby which is where we went I noticed TMB and mine is Kasicorn they might have a couple more as well but didn't notice.
It wasn't far but not especially close or convient either.
Bangkok usually asks you to get an ATM receipt from down below. This has been normal for a couple of years.

May I recommend you ask a Lawyer. There are too many possible answers i..e. Company law, marriage laws etc. In most cases you cannot have absolute security.

Assuming you didn't pass Immigration at Phuket, it is clearly a Bangkok Immigration mistake that they will rectify when you reach Bangkok and ask them to please sort it out. There is usually a Supervisor there who can use his brains... Last time I was leaving, I was told I had a problem, "oh said I have Immigration made a mistake in my new passport because I have done nothing? The old passport details were transferred by Immigration Head Office and approved by the Captain so why is there a problem?" They quickly stamped my exit date and handed back my passport.

I had the same prpblem many years ago near to the Palace. It was pretty obvious the copper was up to no good and I invited him to either come with me to the Police Staion or my home to see my Passport. He later asked for a tip which was refused and he gave up trying.

I offered a Savings Account plus Term Deposit Account for my married extension two months ago. This is where a sum is invested for a fixed Term at a good interest rate but can be withdrawn at any time with loss of interest of course. After discussion with the Captain it was accepted.

Next day collection at 2.00 pm according to my memory.
Where to buy good ground/whole coffee on the cheap?
in Chiang Mai

My preference these days is for Doi Saket coffee beans and the hill tribe beans bought near to Union Mall, same Soi, at Ladprao. Please look at my Thread a couple of years ago for more sources. Don't buy at JJ Market because you may get stung like I was!
