After living here that long, a pink ID card would save you all these problems--- I dont know why some people are negative about it--- I find its getting more & more useful as time goes on. In answer to your question--if you had a card --then no you dont need any other proof of residence , just show it and get your license.

A feature wall makes all the difference --as sometimewoodworker is showing you above, but I am just not keen on the color scheme in that post.
