The Chirathivat family, which controls Central Pattana, has built one of Thailand’s largest retail networks. Its parent, Central Group, has also expanded internationally, acquiring European luxury assets such as Italy’s La Rinascente and London’s Selfridges, while holding stakes in Germany’s KaDeWe

anyone wondering why the Thai baht is being artificially manipulated higher against the EURO - Sterling and others have your answer

I don't care wether you are in a bar or restuarant in Thailand or texas or Toowoomba and you want to aviod a situation like this you must get a menu or price list of the food and drinks and enquire about the price of any personel services that you may be intereted in Before you go ahead and order anything. That way you won't have the same trouble as this dumbo did .He was lucky to get his money back plus expenses.

they are experts at this sort of thing, this seems to be common in Chang Mai, they didn't get away with it on this occasion because this "dumbo" got the police involved and they sided with him, you can certainly do things to protect yourself somewhat but at the end of the day they can write what they want on the final bill

The BMW driver initially told police he did not see the motorcycle because the road was on an incline. He said the limited visibility on the slope prevented him from spotting the rider before the collision occurred.

    At 64 years old??

yeah people get really desperate when they run out of money, I have been "living" here for over 2 decades still not old enough for UK state pension, I have income and savings, I have seen this type of person many times (helped a few) it always ends the same way - desperate and broke, I always say the same thing - go home, no country gives handouts like the UK, not been a recipient myself but it exists
