An idiot, he broke down when it was found. In the loo of the plane doing a last line before landing. Did not pick the right place to stash it on exiting the bathroom and got done. No, was that was slipped in by an immigration officer. Think about it- seriously.

Authorities confirmed the substance was 0.42 grams of cocaine. Swain's questionable reaction to the discovery led to a further search of his luggage.
how many times was his passport checked during his commute, he must be 10 cards short of a full deck or there is some other more sinister explanation for this, Phuket is not a place I would want to visit right now considering the seemingly active effort to by law enforcement to pick on farangs right now, I'd be giving it a very wide birth right now, who puts a small bag of illegal drugs in the pages of their passport and then hands it to immigration police at an airport ....................... think about it - seriously

tourism sector struggling lets put prices up - Thai logic 101
When things were good reinvestment of prophets into improving infrastructure was the right thing to do instead of stuffing in your greedy pockets, now crying out for money from those who haven't even arrived in the country lol
By now Thailand should be a pristine tourist destination with high standards of locations and safety, 40 years of income what has improved.......nothing, in fact it is going backwards

Ah… the Aussie bogan troll rocks up for more Brit-Bashing & tarring all brits with his same myopic brush… because hd hates Brits after his Mother & Missus ran off with a Brit…Goat >>> dedicating his life to slurring the reputation of Brits….
You’ve got to move on & drop this bitterness you carry - it’s eating you up from the inside & making you unhinged nothing you comment on carry’s any credibility.
IF this so happened to be a Spanish guy, you would never have bothered posting a comment.
cut him a break, he's an Aussie - they have more anger issues than most nationalities

but I won't miss it as a government pension wouldn't even cover my monthly booze bill.
I have been living here 24 years on a pension, not old enough yet for a state pension in the UK, I pay tax on my income, it does cover my booze bill lol, horses for courses

The Bank of Thailand has not yet intervened with measures to strengthen the baht
oh like increasing interest rates lol
said it many times, this is good for exports and tourism - not sure I see many downsides unless of course you are a local wanting to invest outside Thailand

Of course, but it's not quite the tragedy it first appears when reading about it.
the tragedy is driving while under the influence, the fact nobody died doesn't make it ok

at the office is a nightmare, no longer a simple "present passport" 10mins and your done
photo copies - form filling - waiting around for over an hour, 12 month extension is almost easier, what are they trying to achieve - going backwards

THANKS. I'm in a bit of bother here, as Ive scrolled though my saved emails and cannot find any from IO which provides the log on. fortunately, I do have my password. i'll get off my ass and locate where to log in to. again, appreciate the advice, it seems so logical - must have missed doing that, due to living here too long 🙂

should i worry? 90 day is due May 4. neither wife nor I have received our email notifications. (I just turned off my vpn, which is on, 24/7). the travel issue: same problem for us, its a 250 km round trip and if I have to attend personally, my wife is disabled and unable to attend. I imagine if I have her passport and form signed, that will be accepted. tia for any updates on the system.
do it now, you don't need the email, just log in and submit your details
