  1. Hello again :D

So i was playing around at the parking lot ( removed fairing / cleaning and such ), and a neighbour come up to me and chatting.. in english :o ...anyways i start telling him about my problem, so he starting rev'n and then he took it for a test drive. He told me i should clean the carb and the air filter ( it was breathing old/used air around that power drop 6k-7k rpm ). So i took it to a honda shop and told them what i wanted to be done.

Very nice service and owners daughter speaks english ( not the best but its easy to be understood ). They cleaned the air filter and started working a the carb and they found a problem, i dont know the actual name so ill discribe it for ya.. its a black silicon vacuum seal of some kind with a spring under it and it sits inside on the top of the carb. So the slea had a tear which isnt good i suppose.

I got that change.. a whooping 1000 baht! but ok.. they gave me coffee and let me smoke in the workshop.

The rattling is still there but i noticed that went down alittle, but i have only tested it briefly since the repair.

Dave, thanks for the help.. I got a PM from your friend so i will talk with him.

P.S just found this link...anyone know where to find the exhaust in the video... sounds so nice i might have to go to the bathroom...

They really friendly there ( I speak some thai and i over heard the owner telling the mech's to do extra good work with my bike cuz i was a farang.. which isnt often hehe.

    cheers

  3. Thanks Dave,

Hopefully this will solve my problem. Yeah 5000km is a bit far to go :o

Ill head back to the house and start removing the fairing and check what you told me too. Hopefully your friend have to the and kindness to give me a hand.

  4. Hi Dave,

I understand what you mean about the stock exhaust for the KSR.. but i dont think i was clear enough. Im kinda looking for a aftermarket exhaust/muffler, the reason im asking for a different pipe is because i think the pipe i have fitted at the moment causes the bike to vibrate ALOT when the rev is around 7000+

The problem is that im a novice at mechanical stuff and just by riding i couldnt tell what the issue is, and i dont trust the motorbike shops at the corners here. I have been to a few honda centers but they got an bad attitude and says everything is fine ( usual lazyness i guess ).

If anyone close to ratchada rd(fortune)/asoke and got some free time to help a novice that would be much apperiated, I'll give ya a bottle of whiskey for the trouble :o

    Cheer

  5. Hello, I have a question about exhaust and downpipe. I'm not looking for a crazy loud exhaust but it should make a nice sound ( kinda like the KSR exhaust make .. if it s possible ), could a buy lets say a exhaust can for a KSR for my CBR or does it have to be specific for the CBR ?

I also notice that i get this powerband drop at 4000-6000RPM, could that be cause by the jets or something else.

Sorry for the stupid questions ( newbie at motorbike mech )

    Thanks alot!

    P.S

Anyone know a good mechanic/bike shop close to Asoke/Huay Kwang are, and also which pipe/muffler brand are good?

  6. I dont know what you talking about Dave, but the CZ-i doesnt have those features you are talking about.. I dont know if you made a mistake, I think you are talking about Click i, those have about the same storage as the Airblade, but the CZ-i have a small U-box and no other options..

CZ-i = no storage, smaller and lighter..

Click i = storage, heavier and a bit bigger.

Airblade i = much storage ( whole seat is a U-box now which it isnt on the click i. ), about same as the click i in the other departments i would guess.

    how does that sound ?

    peace

  7. Hi Dave, Honda selling Airblades with PGM-FI. Thats the new model. I dont know why you think the CZ-I has more storage space then the new Airblade, I can garantuee you that its not true.

CZ-I is a nice little bike, but the new Airblade have alot more storage space and it got FI nowdays ( if you buy a new model ). Check the honda website and you can see for yourself, I personally dont have any driving experiance with the Airblade but me wife got a CZ-I now and it works.. but she could need the extra storage you get from the new Airblade.

    Peace

  8. Ok so 2 stroke doesnt sound like anything for me then :o

If Richard will inform me some more about the stuff i asked him, i will seriously consider buying one more cz-i.

Funny thing with the shops here, I asked if they know where i can buy different parts and all they say is that, no have.. the motocyc to new, wait 1 month.. and 2 days later i see another cz-i with the same part i asked the dealer for. I will buy myself a motocycle magazine and point at the parts next time i go on a shopping run.

  9. I personal would buy another CZ-i, and to make it a bit more sporty let it breath more air and look for a aftermarket exhaust. And to get the CZ-i really going, you can look for another small PGM-FI injection needle. For safety reasons you maybe want to change the tyres...

It is amazing what some parts of the fuel injection system intended for another Honda 125cc engine can do on a 110cc engine with enough to air to breath and easier exhaust. Sure you will not do 70km on a liter, but then you not get that on a Honda CBR-150R also. And what I said you probably want to change the tyres and sprocket also, as the maximum top speed will become seriously lethal and a few teeth up you still hit well over 110km/h easy and get much more power at the low end....

P.S. I hope I also hereby answered your PM... Sorry I not reply earlier....busy, lazy, no excuse...etc..

    Thanks for the reply's guys.

On my current CZ-i i have been up to about 120km/h ( took looong time and down hill :D ) but at 90+ it starts to feel very unstable..( the guy in the shop i bought the bike told me its because its a very light bike and it can not go faster and i can not make it more stable ). I have change the tyres to wider ones, front ones are 70/90 and back 80/90 with tube. Its some thai brand, 350bht a piece ( recommend another brand, size, radial? ) also would mag wheels be better then the stock ones?. Im guessing the FI system needle u talk about is for the wave-i 125cc, can i buy that one on a local honda dealer or i have to go to a customize shop?

Also what exhaust would you recommend, i dont want one thats not legal but still have some sound to it? what sprocket ( front and back or just back one? ), so the sprocket should have less or more teeth then the stock ones? Is the stock chain enough for this? And the air intake, what would u recommend? Would new shockers make it any difference in the stability of the bike?

Sorry for all the questions, I dont have alot of experience with mechanics of bikes even though i have been riding them for a long time ( been lazy to learn and been driving stock all the time, kinda want to learn alittle bit now).

Also BigBikeBKK, could you pleace enlighten me of the difference of 2 and 4 stroke? the more i learn the better, I kinda like riding bikes with clutch and the CBR/NSR would be more comfy because i go from trang to phuket about 2-3 times in a month, dont want a car and a cruiser. :o

Thanks for the help and hopefully all the answers :D

  10. Hello,

My first problem is that my wife always using my CZ-i and i need to buy myself a bike. I hear alot of good things about the CBR 150R.

Second problem is that im a newbie on motorbike mechanics :o , and now I plan to buy a honda cbr 150R. anyone know a good dealer in bangkok or phuket/krabi? Are there any common problems that i should watch out for? What high should the mileage be? etc. etc...

My price range is about 30.000-35.000BHT.

I have been reading some about the NSR here on the forum, and I seen some really cheap ones, so that might be a option too. But i kinda dont like the screaming sound from the NSR, but that might be able to change with a different exchaust?

Any hints or replys is much appreciated.

Also anyone been dealing with www.bunkloso.com? good or bad shop etc. ?

    Regards

  11. Hello everyone,

I have been driving my new CZ-i for a while now and I have been reading that there are some simple alterations you can do to the engine to make it faster. I have been looking around in the forums and searching the web ( google ) but I cant seem to find any information about it. I was hoping someone could PM me a link or just tell me what is needed to be done.

If you have any information about a good parts shop ( phuket / krabi area ) that would be very appreciated.

    Regads
