  1. You say her father occasionally calls.

I would try to meet him if possible, maybe he wants to be a father but your g/f is blocking him for fear her daughter will not get a US passport.

Please don't take another mans daughter if you don't know his side of the story.

Very good point, sounds a pla to me

  2. What I understand is that a Thai wife of a farang cannot buy real estate property using the money from her husband, this would be illegal. But if the deed is already registered on her name she can act as follows:

O.k. presume that the present home and land is bought with money coming from the farang husband. If the owner (the name on the document, being the wife's name) sells the property the money goes to the owner (wether legal or not), which is the wife of the farang. The third party buyer could offer two or three times the value of the property and has a paper signed that he/she has received this amount. If she buys back the same property for the same amount she is from that moment on the legal owner, because she buys with her own money. The original amount, coming from the farang husband, needed to purchase the property is now only a fraction of the present value on paper. The only thing she has to settle is an agreement with her husband about the money needed for the first transaction, but this is not a matter of property ownership but simply a financial agreement between the spouses.

Would this solve the problem, Thai wife of farang having legal ownership of the property?

Apprently the thai owner is not allowed to purchase a house with her farangs money so its illegal and she canot sell the house, the government take it.

BLOODY AWFUL IF YOU ASK ME

  3. Unless you are maried i think that there is little chance. Also i understand that thai law will not allow your daughter some thai rights based on being step daughter to you.

This is only what i have read and you realy need to get somebody professional as this could be a bag of worms. The thai father must have some rights too so check that.

    GOOD LUCK MATE

  4. I walk daily up and down Soi 17 - Caddy Shack to Tukcom and back.

So you don't need to run to the darkside - make a good deal within walking distance of Walking Street and Tesco/Outlet Mall. (For me, anyway, it's all within walking distance).

I don't know where Suk Sabai Village is located but those must be some hellava walks...but anyplace that is walkable to both Walking Street and Lotus on Sukhumvit (lets just say at the midpoint between the two) is still a heck of long way from both.

Dont be such a wimp lol.Not far to walk from soi 17 to Walking St or Tesco Lotus.I walk many times from Pattaya 3rd North to Jomtien and back.

Are you guys kidding me...you walk from North Pattaya all the way to Jomtien (including over the hill) and back? You must be very athletic (as well as "hansome") man :)

Just very sexy legs lol lol.Good for the heart so good for other things too lol

  6. Ever thought of some good excercise like walking. How anybody needs drugs to sleep in theis hot country heaven knows.A 8-10k brisk walk, followed by a cold shower and first meal of the day,20 mins later a good 1.5 hours sleep is brilliant.

Medically speaking your advice is tainted.

It is very difficult to sleep following brisk exercise and it is foolish to attempt sleep directly after a meal of solids. Hot weather and high room temperature are not conducive to 'good sleep'.

I suggest regular exercise by day, a light meal before 1800 hours followed by liquids and relaxation before 'bedtime'.

Ovaltine and a few non-sugary biscuits, clean sheets and a cool bedroom will encourage restful sleep.

And no sleeping in the daytime.

If you sleep in the daytime, your sure to be wide awake at bedtime.

Only if you have problems,as you qoted.I can go to bed about 12pm and sleep until 7-8am even though i have an hours kip after a LIGHT meal and in a COOL PLACE.Should have ben far more descriptive for the other poster.Hot weather and high room temperatures lol,do you live in a tent or what.

  7. Sounds like you are living upcountry.

These situations can be difficult, but stop being weak if it affects your life so much.Do NOT put up with this crap,be a man and get it sorted, these things dont get better, only worse.

Nobody but nobody would be allowed to make my life miserable.

  10. wow the first 2 post sound like 2 fat ugly guys with no money envious of someone that can afford to make himself look better and feel better...

    quite sad.

What you should do is find yourself a thai girl wearing very nice clothes and asking her if she'd dress you for some $.

HOW CAN YOU IMPROVE PERFECTION,DONT NEED SOME ONE TO PICK MY CLOTHES,I HAVE A WARDROBE FULL FOR A 6FT/84 KILO GUY.

  11. Pattaya is still the place to retire too and its more quieter now the 2 week millionaires are skint lol.

Went out Sunday night and spent 2,000 baht on drink and moaned, then i remembered 6 years ago i spent about 120 gbp a night drinking.Brings everything into perspective.
