  1. Driving from soi siam to pattya tai today. I saw a few pickups in the road and some people in orange jump.suits. If this was america one would assume they were a chain gang there to clean the road. It then became apparent it was the normal pull as many bike in and write tickets. So in i go and was directed to one of at least 50 people doing the check. To my surprise the person who asked for my license was a falang. Then i looked around and saw at least another 6 falangs working with the thais doing this check. Since i had all my documents and my checker was german i was out of there in quick german fashion.

I have never seen this and curious if its the new norm?

  2. Dealing with a kawasaki dealership they will never have it transfered when money is exchanged. I can not speak for the salesman but kawa big bikes/mityon is not in the business of ripping people off. They have no less then 25 dealerships in pattaya. If i was concerned i would pay with a bank check.

  3. I've only done 500Ks so the seals should be ok, I'll see how they go.

I've had 2 friends who have also had the forks leak, only things we can think of is bad seal design, to much oil in there or we are to fat. All offroad riding.

My guess is cheap seal design as this problem isnt going away and honda doesnt want to warranty it in pattaya.

  4. Thats your opinion. Knowing who the op is i am sure he knows how to use a phone and make his own decision.

Dirt shop only list one stand that is not at all suitable for the OP.

I like that ABBA stand, reckon I'll make me one for my SR.

I was there on friday and they have what the op needs and a lot more. It is one of the best shops in thailand with original equipment.

Yet your link was useless as they do not have listed what the OP requires.

  5. Well i got this oneP1040648_zps2239facc.jpg

The main reason was price. I forget exactly but under $400 plus shipping and customs. I did read the reviews and its a quality suit. Much better suits can be gotten but i needed to realize this is something i may use 12 times a year i hope. I looked at dianese in thailand and there is no f@&kin way i will pay those prices. I am not sure the suits you see in 320sp and those shop are legit. The ones at paddock might be your best bet if your not going to import.

I need to get on the track as bira is less them 5 minutes from my casa.

DUDE, I love those ventilated boots with toe sliders! where'd ya get em?

  6. I changed the clip-ons for aftermarket bars that are an inch higher and a fraction closer to the rider. Makes a huge difference to comfort. I'm considering height adjustable rearsets next but I can't decide if that's a 'step too far'... It's relatively inexpensive to make a supersport bike much more comfortable if that's what you want. And you get to keep the performance and handling.

I agree but if buying a brand new bike one might as well chose the correct bike in the first place. Then again I suppose the thread doesn't say "new"!I'll have to sit on my bike and see how much difference 1 3/4" makes.
It makes a huge difference with bars and if you change seat height.
  7. Upon looking around google it appears there is a restriction in 1st and 2nd gear couldn't be arsed to read it all though again I'd take what ap Honda tell me with a pinch of salt. The 2010 and 2011 had that restriction. It caused a terrible torque drop between 2 and 4k rpm. The 2012 and 2013 VFRs don't have this 1st and 2nd gear restriction though.seems about right they were talking about poor torque in the lower rev range......think you still need to do a dyno run to clear this up. or the poster that bought this up needs yo supply a link to where he got that info from. I was thinking of doing one anyway. I'll let you guys know how it goes.

I did my dyno last week at dirt shop for 600baht. Not sure what big wing bkk wants but big wing pattaya was 2000.

On a 900k baht bike. I would hope Brian gets at least one dyno run free :D:P

i wouldnt count on it. I didnt even get a free helmet with my bike. Thinking about they didnt even say thank you. They did say i was lucky to get it before the new tax....well i own a kawaski maybe hondas more generous.
