These free trade agreements which I've been reading about for the last 10 years or so all seem to be very one sided.
Thai exports cheap, while all imports are subject to massive tax.
Are the other countries dumb or something?
Are you importing under the FTA rules? Individuals buying goods from places like ebay, Amazon and lazada dont qualify without exporting counties certificates and Thailand Import license and vat registration

I mentioned pink card because that is what i used the whole time, they were copying the numbers from the card throughout each process that is temp. blood pressure etc., before the actual jab, without the card i have no idea!
Seems you got in before they fixed the problem of letting foreigners register/book appointments

Evidence for this? And where are you?
Like many others actually IN Thailand, I have a jab scheduled.
Whether I want it is not something the embassy would not get involved in.
Well im not going to speculate on the reason but in Banglamung {Pattaya} any adult thai that can book a appointment for the vaccine regardless of physical condition or age.
I being a foreigner have no way to book a appointment.

Well i am convinced that for whatever reason the foreigners are be excluded from the vaccines in the Pattaya / Banglamung area.
I personally know 10 thais between 30-50 with no underlying conditions that had 1 and some 2 shots already {all sinovac if it matters}. They just book on mor por or walk in for a appointment.
My wife had both and to be honest i think the elderly, sick, and school teachers should have went 1st.
Seems at this time there is no prioritizing its 1st come 1st serve.
Im guessing the publicity of a thai national complaining their government took care of foreigners 1st would look bad?

I registered at the Chulabhorn Academy. A few days later, their whole program was stopped.
I registered and got an appointment at the Thailandintervac site. It was cancelled ("postponed").Enough is enough. I'm taking my chances with a flight to the U.S. At least I KNOW I can get a next-day appointment at my local pharmacy and actually get the shot(s). And top-line vaccines, too.
Not possible at least in Florida there are no appointments available!
Walk-ins only ????

Thats not the case
My wife signed up on the app about 2 weeks ago and was called for her vaccine May 20 2021. Trust me we have no connections and she is low risk imho

I think he was talking about the MoI interview, as he said there were 30 people present when he sang the songs.
Maybe but i thought he said he only had 47 points and there were 5 people awarding the points.

My question is... Seriously, what does anyone have to gain (or what advantage is there) by becoming a Thai citizen?
If you live here, work here and have family here citizenship is security you can stay here

No, i failed with 47 points because i couldnt sing the anthems. there were 5 people in my interview, So i believe they decide about everything.. it took 5-6 min for me because they understood that my thai is ok.
also they asked me if i can read and write thai, i told them i cannot but im learning it.. So they showed me something to read, which i couldnt.
Actually i just remembered that someone at the office told me things might be little bit different for me because of my military background. And also my wife is very high government employee. I dont know its true or not but my process was like this.
Very strange as my interview were the points are given is at sb and only the top cop upstairs was present.
also once you have all your documents in order this interview comes very quick maybe 1-2 weeks

When I had some things sent over from Europe the freight figure used was not the actual shipping cost but a much higher figure based on the volume (or maybe it was the weight) of the package * a set rate per litre (or kg).
Thats correct you have to make sure the shipper adds the shipping cost to the invoice if not the customs calculates by weight or volume

I have used my Chase Bank in Las Vegas for many years, not free, but the $5 dollar charge is pretty good no matter what the amount...goes super fast into my Siam Commercial Bank and at a good rate on the day....????????????????????????
Pretty simple and just use my iPad to get the job done...easy peasy....????????????????
Dont the thai banks determine the rates?

if you had any experience you would know that in 20 years business I had only 2 parcels checked in USA and EU. Only people who know nothing believe that customs check more than 1% of all parcels sent and received.
You're lucky i get 1 out of 10 inspected in the usa. The west coast gets way less checks than the east.
The inspection isnt bad but the costs are in the $1000s
BTW there is a world wide container shortage and sea freight has more than doubled in certain routes
