Thanx, the UN still has fate in our PM, because they know that Thaksin and his scores of followers have violated the rights of people from day 1 they came in power and that it's not this government who brought the violence to the street but Thaksin and his sect.
Thanks all western countries for believing that our contry is not only made up from thugs and scum roaming the streets.
Wow...Is it about the fate in Abhisit?
Is that so?
What do you know, at all, about international politics, about policy of UN as organisation, in crises?
Thanks to your PM, your country is slightly going to become as Bosnia, Beirut or Belfast and that makes me really sad.
Why he don't make elections all levels right now so to stop all of this?
Can you try to explain to me please?
He did, November 14th [a few weeks ago-remember the roadmap???].
The reds are the only ones that want elections, so the PM offered an election in November over 1 and a half years before it was due, and what did the reds do, they did not accept and then they tried to intervene with the justice system (Suthep's Case). And they did not accept the road map which included an election. So since the reds are the only ones asking for an election and then they changed their minds and said they dont want it, in my mind it means no one in thailand wants an election-so why should the PM introduce something that is not wanted by the people of thailand.
BTW...i dont think any western country would have waited this long, they would have killed all the protesters the first day they went out of line, and they would never have offered an election-IMO the PM did something that he should be applauded for because he tried to settle the situation peacefully, which is more than first world country would have done.

Thai schools usually closed the whole month of october...although i heard they might change due to the school closings/delayed openings this week.
International schools usually close for about 1 week (10 days including 2 weekends) in mid-October, last year it started around the 16th

So much anger in the writing, i guess he/she (not sure if napas is a guys name or a girls name) was writing in the heat of the moment.

Where is pattana? Maybe their location would explain their status.
Also most schools are still open to conduct IB, AP, or IGCSE exams due to the fact that they cannot be moved (according to testing rule)-so even if the school is closed it is likely that your kid has to go to school if they have external exams.

any of the schools offering a rebate on tuition if they are closed durning the ""civil unrest""
( probably not, but it would be a good gesture)
Actually my summer holiday just got moved out

I fail to understand why the Thai government have not done everything possible to have an international arrest warrant put out by Interpol for the arrest of Thaksin and the red leaders who have recently fled Thailand. Can anyone help me out here? Why has this not been done? Is it a complex legal procedure?
I don't think they want thaksin back in Thailand, they just want to keep him out there.

This just came up in the Chiang Rai Forum,
"Red Shirts Move into Chiang Rai"
http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/Red-Shirts-M...ai-t366217.html
However, i wouldnt be worried, i dont think its violent-not like bangkok

A lot of people say national anthem but the vocabulary in the anthem is quite difficult to understand, esp. if you are not a native speaker
I recomend more nursery style songs or at least slow songs for you to be able to hear the individual words, help with vocab pronunciation and a bit of vocab
definitely no thai teenage pop, you wont be able to understand a thing-not even native speakers understand every word

RIP to all the people in the flight.
Good luck to that boy who survived, i feel so sorry for his lost

Start with a computer if you dont want to use a lot of money-similar style games and most of the time a game would make versions campatible to computers as well as other consoles.

Made me watch the news more at first, but then it finally got to annoying, i got fustrated and angry about the situation so i watch the news less and less.

To keep it even simpler, how about ทำดีกว่าพูด ? Not literal either, but commonly seen, and the core message is the same.
THat just means that you should do better than what you said you would.

im guessing its a frown.
The second is is most likely a typo-never seen it before

I think delivery service are still available (not completely sure though)-you might want to try and call
1112-pizza company
1150-pizza hut/KFC
1171-Macdonalds (i think there is a minimum of things you have to buy before they offer delivery)
i dont know anyothers-maybe you can find some on the internet and check if any of them still offer delivery service. [hopefully you find something other than what i put cuz the ones i know are alll fast food/unhealthy food]

Anyone hear news of Curfew being announced???
-
I went to the airport in april and it was guarded. Atleast 3 roadblocks to check the cars coming in, don't think it changed so it might be hard for reds to take over the airport and probably will not happen.

I was born here and i intend to live my live here.

School cancelled today, kids to scared to come in!! Business is at a standstill. Whilst the reds are here who is looking after their crops and their families???? Sukhumvit is not a nice place to be at the moment been through twice today and i would describe it as very tense, and potentially chaotic. This should have been dealt with weeks ago! I am all for getting rid of the hardcore reds, they are little more than terrorists, angling for the best deal. But i feel for the people they have duped with their rhetoric!! I can only see this going horribly wrong and leading to bloodshed on a large scale, which is sad because i do love this country!!! No end in sight!
Which school, mine wasn't closed (went to school half asleep)
Ohh well, atleast theres only two more weeks left before summer (assuming i pass the exams or else it would be two more weeks before death-figuratively ofcourse)
Anyways, at least the gov't is keeping the pressure on and actually doing what they said they were going to do (not like a few days ago when they said they were going to cut supply to the reds). Hopefully this will end before summer and I can finally go out and watch some movies.
EDIT: the reason i was half asleep= procrastinating on homework, hoping for school to close (started doing it at half past midnight)

Also does anyone know, how long before the actual test date do i have to register. (registration deadline)---For toefl

ASB is good, more of a smaller sized school atmosphere. For young students, should be ok, but in my opinion for high school students, they need to be in a bigger school to prepare for university/college.

Disagree woth you because Thaksin is already dead. I have photo proof of Thaksin funeral (includeing an image of his ghost) taken from ThaiVisa.
Is that the photo knocking around of the ghost Thaksin at Neverland with Micheal Jackson doing a cover of MJ and McCartney's 'Ebony and Ivory' on a KTV machine?
Looked like they were having a whale of a time.
Its not that one, there was a picture on ThaiVisa with a buddhist monk lighting some incent in a funeral ceremony. There were some people wearing red in that picture. The photo that was put up for the funeral is apparently a picture of thaksin, also a weird thing about this picture, is that if you look carefully you will see a faded thaksin standing in front facing the camera. That picture could be set up so easily and a minimal photoshop knowledge can make thaksin stand infront of his funeral looking like a ghost (you can see through thaksins body)

If these reporters were in thailand they would not say this, because it is terrorism and any other country would have done worse to the reds by now.
