^ How'd you get Thai subs?
Does this help?
Still no Thai subs on either my windows or Android app. Anyone else have them?
-
Yeah, if you're using the Firefox browser you can by installing a widget called Download Helper. You just click on it and it'll download the video to your desktop.
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/video-downloadhelper/
Much appreciated and I will try it out later tonight. Thanks.

Here's a good one for anyone who wants to watch it with a Thai friend / partner. All the latest series from the US, but with Thai subtitles.
Thank you. This is an excellent site.
Can you record the shows to watch later?

We all know that most of the Australians visiting Thailand are not the world best tip giving people.DON'T TIP, you just ruin the culture for everyone. How stupid is it to encourage people to actually do what they are paid to do by their employer. Think your a bigger man now? How about dropping the 300 Baht into a reputable donation location, that actually helps out someone without a job.
Oz
Do we ???
He is just showing his ignorance about Australians. Ignore him as others will do.

Agreed that no surprise that people come up with silly rumours.

Apart from all the ponsy stuff about the phone what about the call quality surely this is the most important thing about owning a phone? ( the best vocal audio system ever was on the older blackberry phones! )
F.J
I have had my Note 4 for 2 weeks now. Call quality is excellent compared to other phones I have had.
I absolutely love my new Note 4.

"That's right. Getting hard to find in tourist areas for some reason. Perhaps because of the prices- one place in Bkk charges 80 bht/ hour and the usual is 1 bht per minute- total rip off."
Many people now have tablets and smartphones and can access the net through wifi and AIS etc. Not as much demand for net cafes these days

Thinking about one great film with an all star ensemble cast made me recall another one I liked a lot..."That Championship Season", the original 1982 production, not the later made for tv remake. It's another filmed play, which some people can't abide in a film. It got a low rating on IMDB, but so what. I know one thing--this is NOT a film most women would like at all. They are discussed a great deal in the film, but never seen.
It's the 24th annual get-together of the state championship (Scranton PA) basketball team, at the home of coach Bob Mitchum. That's right, Badass Bob himself. Four of the starting five are in attendance: Bruce Dern (one of my favorite actors) who is now the Mayor of Scranton, worried about his re-election chances; Martin Sheen, who has turned into a local drunk, Paul Sorvino, now a bigshot local developer, and Stacy Keach, now a high school principal. The fifth man never shows up, due apparently to some intentional foul the coach had him or another teammate throw in the game. Win at any cost. His absence casts a long shadow over the proceedings.
The play won a Pulitzer prize, and here the guys all get to shine, as happens in most plays. I once lived in a small town where they were still talking about their "trip to the State Finals in '55," in Kentucky, where basketball is King. The star guard had turned into a drunk, still wearing his varsity jacket and living at the pool hall. None of the other players had achieved any distinction on the college teams that had awarded them scholarships. My ex-high school in California has a very active website where mostly the people who were "stars" back then still want to write about their glory days, and refuse to discuss what is happening in their lives today.
A forgotten classic, largely unseen. My vote: 8/10
Would love to watch That Champion Season but a look at the normal places reveals no results. Do you have any thoughts on how I can get this movie please?

Took my truck to my local car accessory place today. 15 minutes later job done and charge was 100 baht.
They removed the old silicone and cleaned up the area and replaced the wind deflector. Good job done and hopefully this will last a few years.
Thank you to all who posted helpful replies.

Looking for some help please.
My Isuzu wind deflector on the passenger side is loose. I have placed super glue there and it sticks for a while then becomes loose again.
Has anyone else had this problem and if so how did you fix it? I am worried if I do not get it fixed it will eventually come off the truck.
I would prefer to fix it myself if possible rather than going back to the Isuzu dealer.
Any helpful replies are appreciated.

It is against the law for a foreigner to do that but he won't get very rich at 20 baht a time ...
I thought that and what a nerve to do it in such an incredibly public place when he would never possibly know if an off duty immigration Department official happened to walk by to enter central department store? I mean, he was right next to the entrance.
And when you say he won't make much money that is my point really. Why would anyone in their right mind take such a risk regarding their immigration status for such pittance?
You have made a good point.
'Why would anyone in their right mind" Enough said.

Sick sick sick! And the police standing behind let these criminals off - only doing their job after the mothers went to the press? They must be so proud of their incompetent corrupt selves!
Congratulations to the Udonthani police. At the end of the day, they did their job.
Unlike England, where corrupt police arrested the parents for reporting that their underages girls were raped.
England is the last country in the world that should be lecturing Thailand about how their police should operate.
"Congratulations to the Udonthani police. At the end of the day, they did their job."
You are correct. But at the end of the day they only did their job after pressure from the families!
They do not deserve our congratulations only our complete contempt for only acting after pressure from the families.

Looks like the official Thailand launch is slated for 17th October.
Will be very interested in the note 4 price and what the note 3 price will be once the Note 4 is on sale here.
-
Australia Plus is up and running. So very happy that I can still access the news and programs such as Q&A, Insight, Four Corners etc.
Well done ABC.

you can look for the Note 4 in Early Oct.
The 2 and 3 were both released in Thailand in October each year.
I was waiting for the 4 to come out to get the price drop on the 3. Found a guy who decided to jump the gun a week early and give the price drop already 23K -> 18K
Happy with my Note 3 now.
Well done for getting the Note 3. I am a firm believer in not buying the latest gadgets and buying the previous model.
This generally means you are buying a product that has been tested and most if not all of the bugs have been fixed.
However if the Note 4 is a reasonable price I will be sorely tempted to get it.
Any way once the Note 4 is released here I am hoping the Note 3 will come down to around 15k or less.
-
I've got note 3 and it really is brilliant.
Size. In the shop I had the same thought. It's massive.
Now couldn't go back to a smaller screen.
Mate has note 2 said it's battery is crap . And phone slow.
Just your luck. Or how much crap you download.
Dies any one know the release date for the note 4?
Price out at 24,900 on Thai mobile center. But no date
Price for the Note 4 at 24900 seems very good. I was thinking it would be much more than that.
Price today at Samsung for Note 3 is still 22900 baht. Staff were unsure when the Note 4 would arrive in Thailand.
When you say Thai mobile centre do they have a web address I can look at?
-
Note 2 would be about 8k . You can get a brand new Toyota branded Note 3 for less than 15k
Any particular store you can get these Note 3 for 15k.
The best price I can find is still 22500.

Hope some knowledgeable people can assist me.
I would like to stay close to New Plaza bar complex in November this year.
D apartments are good but out of my price range at 1100 per night in high season. (800 baht in low season.)
So my budget is 800 baht per night and all I want is a nice clean place with aircon and would prefer an in room safe.
Happy to stay in either Soi Buakhow or Soi 7/8 but close to New Plaza as I will be drinking there most nights.
Any personal recommendations would be most appreciated.

This may be of interest to everyone. Seems like good news at last.

So what are the options if any once Australia network closes?
I will miss the news and current affairs a lot and also the AFL matches even more.
You can sign up with http://watchafl.afl.com.au/ and watch all the matches live. This is what I will do next year if there is no alternative.

Thank you very much everyone for your very helpful and informed replies.
My personal computer is 7 years old and I am reluctant to put too much money in to an old machine.
It is a concern that the ram usage is so high so I may take the pc to the shop and see if they can identify the cause before spending money on ram or new processors etc.
Why take it to a shop to determine which programs/apps are possibly eating a lot of RAM? Just use the Task Manager utility in Windows to see that....that's what the shop might do...but they'll probably just sell you some RAM since that's one way they they make money. To fire-up the Windows Task Manager utility in Win 7 just do the following:
- Press Cntl-Alt-Det keys ssimultaneously which will bring up a menu
- Select Start Task Manager from that menu
- Select Processes tab
- Click Memory column header to sort by highest memory usage
Then from looking at the Name and Description columns determine which progams/apps are using the most memory. You will see many programs/apps running but the great majority of these are Windows operating system utilities so don't worry about them...just look for those programs/apps a person installs himself (i.e., like whatever browser you use, word processing apps, cloud drives, anit-virus/firewall programs, could be many different programs as different people load different things) after he has loaded Windows when first getting the computer.
Also open your Task Bar in the lower right hand corner of your Windows Desktop to display to see what programs/apps you have running in the background.
After doing this above you may find one or two of your programs/apps are eating a bunch of your memory...maybe even programs/apps you didn't know were running in the background. Then you may want to consider setting them to whether they don't automatically start when you start your computer or just uninstalling the programs.
And it could also be a video card setting where you are allowing it to use a bunch of your RAM to increase the video card memory available. If so, lower that memory card shared memory setting.
Good luck.
I have looked at task manager many times and Chrome is using up the majority of the memory.
any alternative to True Vision?
