  1. there has been no relaxing of restrictions. they have simply been transferred from businesses being closed to only double vaxxed people allowed to go there. In reality, I think they have been increased considering the low number of double vaxxed people. all the millions being currently vaxxed are first timers, who wont be getting a second jab for 2+ months if it was AZ.
  2. its partly because that lets people not be responsible for anything that happens to them, and partly by the idea that life can be made risk free if enough rules are in place to deal with all the possible bad outcomes, rather than just the more probable ones. security and freedom are inversely correlated.
  3. all this does is shift the locked down group from being the restaurants et al. to being the unvaxxed. which wouldnt be a big deal, except for the fact that here people are unvaxxed due to limited availability, rather than by choice. here, I think the restaurants are getting screwed, stuck with the operating costs, but limited by the very low vaxxed population to go to them.
  4. nothing from any government is free, its taxpayer funded, i.e. anything you get from them you, or in most cases, someone else, paid for already.

  6. except in those countries, vaccines are available on every corner, and the unvaxxed are by choice
  7. so with this plan, businesses get to shoulder the fixed costs of being open with 92% of the population unable to go to them I dont think they could have come up with a more economically stupid idea if they tried wait...what was that?? I think I just heard the PM say "ok...hold my beer..."

  12. "Suwat said the former chief could not face the press in person so he spoke over the phone." so he is a hard guy in the the interrogation room with the person cuffed, but spineless when it comes to being held accountable for his actions....
  13. considering the previous performance of government group designed websites, and the anticipated response level, this poll website will crash within minutes. so the ruling junta dont really need to be worried about what the results would show.
  14. "Examination of one instance, last Thursday (Aug 19), saw 191 pieces of trash weighing 67g being identified, Mr Pathompong noted. “The trash was 49% plastic fibers, 19% soft plastic, 16% hard plastic, 10% from plastic bags, 4% from plastic bottles and 2% sack fibres,” he said." sorry, I cant help myself, what a crappy job that must have been
  15. "Prayuth informed his followers of plans to stimulate the Thai economy with 95,500 new jobs and 4,303 separate projects across 35 provinces. He claimed this would help millions get back on their feet." he was obviously closely advised by TAT officials in coming up with this prediction

  21. “Their boss doesn’t let them go back to work." this is somewhat happening at my job. One guy got covid and worked in an an office of 3 and that had a a lot of interaction with the next office over with 3 in it. none of the other people tested positive. After he was in isolation for 2 weeks, then 2 weeks at home, now only 1 person can come to work each day in both offices, and the day the covid guy comes in , no one comes in the other office either.
