  1. By Thai law all dogs must be vaccinated against rabies and be microchipped ( believe it or not sigh ).

if there are a lot of dogs loose in your Soi as mentioned above go to the tessaban and complain ( if you actually expect them to act a small gift normally gets them to). Shame that you let everyone know your intent to poison the dogs cause thats the best way.. trick is to just kill one or two to start with to make it look like an epidemic them bam do the lot.

Before I get flamed i would like to state that I am a dog owner ( but a responsable one). The truth is there are to many strays and uncared for animals here.

  2. Best way to deal with the problem of old cars is use a system similar to that in the Uk. First toughen up the test to get the road tax. Second any untaxed vehicle gets seized and if not reclaimed in 14 days it gets crushed( A suitable fee for storage and removal payed ) If recovered the said vehicle would have to be brought up to standard taxed ect before being presented at a chosen police station. The owner of any vehicle that is found to be on the road in after failing to report after seizure should face a heavy fine and automatic crushing of the vehicle. I reckon the owner not the driver should be penalized as most of the old beaters seem to be water and ice delivery trucks whom the drivers of would be out on their ear if they refused to drive . And please please make it a stiff fine not the usual 2000 baht half the trouble here is caused by rediculously low fines( that is for anyone that can afford a car in the first place)

  3. Good habits. Thais are always above board in their personal and business dealings. Their word is their bond. Charitable giving by the Thai rich is massive and publicly known. Thais take so much responsibility for their actions and behavior it makes others feel inferior. Thais never expect anything special or to be treated differently. Thai respect for law and rules of the road is amazing. Thais work very diligently , always deliver on promise, and know and understand the concept of achievement. Thais respect others in every endeavor especially the poor and foreign persons. Thais are extremely knowledgable and well read. Thais hold personal character and morality in very high esteem and would never sell out.

  4. try turning it so the lock faces down and give it a good whack and if you're lucky it will dislodge the broken key .Then get a new one cut. or plan B cut a sliver of plastic from a bottle put super glue on 1 side then slide it down between the key and the lock allow to dry the gently pull the broken key free. Easiest way is take it up high n drop it.

  5. Actually there are laws already in place to deal with this problem. With no valid visa they are here illegally so why don't the BIB round them up and deport them ? Ok so I can hear you all saying they would be held indefinately because of no money to buy plane tickets but surely they could pressure individual Goverments to pay once they had enough of their Nationals in jail.

I also find it hard to believe that people can be stupid enough to find themselves in this situation in the first place.. when its time to go home its time..Thai family troubles been there done that but always made sure I had my airfare covered . Thats the travellers 1st and only rule!

  6. I believe in Thailand the zebra crossing simply says pedestrians are allowed to cross the road here, and the solid lines on the roadway should indicate to traffic that it should avoid changing lanes near the crossing.

But no - the traffic won't stop, unless it's a school group of kids or something similar.

Actually no ... your not entirely correct about that.

The Thai drivers will stop ... but it's a group consensus.

Was on Sukhumvit Rd this week at the junction with Soi 33.

One Thai wanted to cross, then 3, then 5 ... when there were about 7 of them, one brave soul started, the group followed and ALL the traffic stopped.

Seen this many times in Thailand.

I had similar experiences throughout Thailand.

Like gnu crossing the mara river lol

  7. I'd just be thankful that I got out of the aircraft alive, growling about suitcases being delayed is infantile.

I wasn't on the flight but from the reports and what little evidence has come out so far it would seem that the incident was entirely the fault of TG.

Either the pilots screwed up, or the maintenance was not up to the required standards. The weather didn't have a bearing on the event.

The runway didn't suddenly move sideways (least not that I am aware of)

Thai have experienced several events over the past few years (OK call them accidents if you will 'but in reality they do not fall into what could be described or categorized as an accident')

and have not published full, open, transparent & exhaustive investigation report of their findings.

Thai are a long, way from being one of the safest airlines to fly.

could also have been wind sheer .. couple that with a dodgy runway and...

  8. The Democrats power base used to be the elite but over the last few years as the middle class has grown this has become their main support and the middle classes are becoming more vocal due to the fact that it is they that bear the burden of paying for things like the rice buying fiasco as they are the ones that pay the most taxes. The poor, well they are to poor to pay any and as in all countries the rich aviod them( taxes)
