It sounds to me like the pressure swithch needs adjusting. also check that your toilet cisterns are not leaking ( yes I know you said you checked but did that include them ) as this is not obvious .

By the way under Thai law you must have a tank fitted if you have a pump.

Minimum wage is rigidly enforced by the labour department.

You must pay it for every day an employee works, no matter what reason you have not to pay it.

Theoretically you could deduct the value of any item you could prove they 'stole and kept' from their wages.

The problem of enforcing it is impossible because of the huge black economy here in Thailand, which is undoubtably larger than anyone fully realises or maybe they do, but it suites the powers that be because it directly benefits them .

I am a disabled driver and have been driving here since 1989. Over the first ten years i was stopped many many times and coughed up the obligatory dosh( varing from 100- 200 baht as required) Then da da one day in the newspaper it was announced that henceforth that the Thai goverment had changed the law and that disabled drivers could hold a driving licence. wondered why that for the first ten years not one cop had asked to see my licence just my cash LOL

As one of the above said "Hermits " All I can say is that it beats the hel_l out of living in a Farang "Ghetto" such as Sukhuwit rd. or pattaya.

The people that live like me tend to have arrived when Thailand was an exotic destination and the Football crowd had yet to arrive , in other words travellers rather than tourist as is sadly the case now. As such more adaptable to local customs food ect.
