  1. Report them to 1111

My immigration guys are great - happy and smiling and really helpful - and not a single hint of backhanders. smile.png

Same here in Khon Kaen. Went today had all the right copies of everything and more. Apart from the 3 people in front of me that seemed to think that they should just turn up with the wrong paperwork that held up the que for a consierable time it took 3 minutes.

    Lesson to be learned ...

  2. Ditch them all and start over?

Ditto. What's your real problem that would allow you to tolerate all of this? w00t.gif alt=w00t.gif width=18 height=20>

Tuk Tuk driver in the mix??????????????

Only in that he has her as a regular customer for driving her. He's not physically involved - there are lots of falang ex's but he's definitely not in the picture in any way.

yeah right n there is a father xmas.

  3. Until the Thai people desert the patronage system democracy will never take root here. Make laws with real teeth dish out some real jail time to rich hi-so powerful people to show the rest of the world you are committed to the rule of law and the rest of the world would take this country a bit more seriously.

  4. I felt the same way. It's time to pack up and go home. Don't overdo it; otherwise, there will be no support from the people. As it is, the rally creates hardship to the surrounding businesses. The first intention was to revote the amnesty bill. You achieved it. Now, you want to eliminate Thaksin's regime. Are you out of your mind? Stop for the sake of the country. Don't go overboard. Take it a step at a time. If you push it to the edge of an envelope, the result will be different.

bout time someone removed Mr T's hand from Mrs Y's cute arse.

  5. He (Pheu Thai's Labour Minister Chalerm Yoobamrung) claimed that the protests against the amnesty bill were being financed by business groups that are enemies of the politicians in power.

    Here's some financing:

I have always loved that classic vote buying clip by the red shirts !!! Makes the denial of vote

buying by PTP look pretty silly. On a side note, I was buying some auto parts from a large

parts business clearly owned by a wealthy Thai-Chinese family. A few of the older members were

intently watching televised footage of the protests. As I ordered the parts, he said he was not

sure if they would come on time from Bangkok due to fighting breaking out. I asked

him why he thought there would be fighting, as it just looked like protests to me. He smiled,

and said there would be fighting for sure. Either way it was an odd statement by him. Almost like

all this was planned, and those on the inside know what is coming.....

Been here 25 years and been through a few coupes n errr.. uprisings and there are always fights.

  6. step 1: register company under name of girlfriend / wife

step 2: employ some low-wage Thais (e.g. driver, maid, accounts, secretary, etc)

step 3: get your work permit and start doing business

    This is your only option

If you do this as advised you will end up paying taxes . You will also have to keep books and have an accountant.

My advise is just keep yourself to yourself and no one will bother looking and get a retirement visa .

  7. Thing is every one supposedly is against this bill but there are 2 major questions ... 1 if anyone was serious about apprehending THe Great leader why where Interpol not asked to detain him ? Many of the countried he passes through are members .. 2 Although many of the Democrats/military that have been charged with crimes have stated that they would rather face trial than be aquitted by amnesty how true is this fact. Then figure into this mix the Lesse Majesty law that is part of this and your guess as to what will happen is as good as mine.

  8. There is still something happening, but at least at http://phukettuktuks.com/ there seems to be less news at the moment.

This was dated at 1st of October 2013. The previous report on that site was on April 2013. Maybe the site manager is not so much involved yet, or there has been a real change for the past months.

I see as soon as there are to Ozzies the 10 Thais scatter Lmfoa Brave souls indeed!
