Yes , I read that too , but I don't get it. Say you "give" your money to such a company , and it pays you back monthly. If you die , the money that they received most likely hasn't ran out. So by your death the insurance (or other) company keeps your money (if you don't want anymore payments to someone ). That company wins . You leave it to them. Only when the money you gave them runs out before you die , there will be nothing left . Then also : you give them nearly all your money ? Or what is left with you is again going to the wrong hands. Some tax collectors might look at those payments as income , and tax it again. Or am I wrong ?

Hey , I'm like you but I don't want to give anything so explain what an annuity is . When I read about it , I don't get it. If you don't want to leave anything , only 2 ways : spend it or destroy it. I go for the second but impossible with an unexpected quick death. I've come at the age where I only get more money because of the generation before me , dying off. It is hard to spend when nearly nothing is worth spending your money on. I don't do hookers. Certainly don't want to leave it to the state , which ever it is , Thailand or my euro s-hole.

So , let's say 50 milj Thais get 10k ... that's 500 Billion THB or about 13 Billion euro . That should be possible .

I don't want to leave anything. With a slow death like cancer , there is enough time. With quick death like stroke or accident (thailand !!) or heart attack , there is no time , and that worries me a lot !

Being alone does not mean I can't contact "outside" help. If you are completely helpless , you may have hundreds friends or family , but you can't contact them either. About assets , I can't take steps to ensure where they go.

I have completely no interest in festive days , western or here in Thailand. The decorations for Xmas in the supermarkets are kind of stupid because it is a buddist country . Only "holiday" I keep out of sight is songkran, of course. It is great here in Thailand , all western holidays are ignored , except for new year .

You don't mention which laptop. If it is a Dell , watch out ! Nearly all of them come with MaxxAudio/waves app that causes problems with speakers and microphones. You can't get rid of it for 100 % . It is a part of the Realtek audio driver . Realtek audio chips are cheap mediocre junk.

I just bought 6W spots and LED strips . They all get hot , too hot for my liking. Cheap spotlight are in plastic , not Aluminium , so cooling is even worse. Like you , I'm about to use the 6 inch Staycool SCG with spots and after reading this here , I start to doubt too. Sorry for going off topic : How do you like these Stay cool from SCG ? Does it really make a difference in heat and noise ? I bought one to see , and 6 inches ?? They are flattend rolled up to maybe 2 inches. Is it worth the 509B ? External SSD's are faster, although with WD passport HD's the first GB goes at 500 MB/s or so then it slows down al lot. Samsung and other internal and extenal SSD are expensive in Thailand. The Samsung Portable SSD T7 2 GB : invadeit : 6990 , in my country , I just checked at 38,5/euro :5775 baht. I'll buy them there when I go next year. That is another 6990 THB they can't tax , when I bring the money in.

Oh , I did book. Not all airlines want to be paid in currency of departing country. For instance : Etihad wants THB , no way around. Qatar lets you choose.

YES , definitely. And I can predict when . I will be when I'm in europe next year so that I can't get back. Hopefully it will only be on that wacky part of the world , not on this side .

You don't have to look for me. But economy ofcourse , I'm not a millionair , and business is a waste of money. Ok , my questions have been answered > look at big booking sites > but book at the airline itself. And nothing has changed with the 3 years of restrictions for covid. Flying is still a big pain , nearly as bad as going to the dentist , but even more expensive. Thanks guys.
