Sunsetbar nearly at the end of the beach strip is a nice place to watch the sunset and meet tourists and expats.friendly thai staff.Wats bar in the beginning of beach strip is nai yangs night stop.many airline crews and yachties.sirinathnationalpark for beaching great,still no hassle from vendors.for play pool and chess meet the bikers at caferacers .Nai Yang seafood restaurant is worth a look too.or find your personel karoke.there is always one to have some fun.thanyapura intl.school offers a gym with 50m pool.

thr last time and the last time forever i ordered in kata a tom yung gong..i am as usualy friendly quit tip giving person.after i got the soup there where only 4 empyy shells from the gong inside.i paid,without tip.since i stopped eat in patong or kata.this places good for nightlife.usually the food is fantastic and still cheap.the good places are customer friendly.some places dont welcome foreigners.for this places would be nice to have a sign.thais only.same in the lotos thalang.moslem seating.i accept that.would save time.in the karaoke bar you can find it out quickly.if they dont like you,the fat ugly wants take care you.most places are friendly,most of our home countries had these anti foreigner behavior too.let them time .more and more thais travel and eat pizza.the youngsters will change the old system.i took my empty soup with a smile,and had an extra beer in the next spot.

I really want to be in an area with lots of shops and cafes (but I prefer street food to eat) that won't be too inconvenient to get to/for border runs and is a walkable area with lots of wi-fi options. A search of couchsurfing.com, for example, showed very few people in other areas I was looking at (like krabi and ko phi phi), but so many in phuket and I really want to make friends with other foreigners while I'm there, so I thought that would be my best bet.

Phuket is fine.rooms and food unexpensive.everywhere on the island.wifi cheap and easy avaible.Friends you make everywhere.dont book anything just hit the plane tp phuket intl.good would be if you can ride a scooter.if not exercise now.we have rooms and bungalows near airport,nai Yang beach but as i said the island is full of rooms any category,Patong is good for weekendparty.not recommended for a 3 month stay.meet local poeple.

I'm always amazed that pot heads think that ganga is not a drug and that they don't realize when they are addicted to it. I speak from personal experience as many friends of mine (mostly Americans) smoke it .As a non user I can tell you Ganga smokers are boring company and I am glad the drug is illegal. I don't think these pot heads realize that it is serious for them if they are caught in possesion of it in Thailand. There must be better ways to enjoy yourself in Thailand than turning yourself into a half wit by getting "stoned."
