  1. She suggested that we go to her Home town and get my name on her House book witch she owns..

Then bring the House registration book, and owners papers along with copy's Do you think this will be enough??

It is not even needed to place your name in the foreigner's house book. It is not mandatory to do that, and very few people do.

But if you declare to be living there, you will have to apply at the local immigration office, and do or mail 90 days reports there.

Maybe you can tell the landlord that if he doesn't provide the documentation you will be the one reporting him to immigration for not having declared your stay (that is mandatory), and to the tax office about the income.

The landlord is a crook. Move on. He himself is your warning.

  2. In B.C. Canada. Bring your own bag, get a brown paper bio-degradable bag or buy a plastic bag.

Got to be practical. If you want a bag pay for it. Give the customer a chance to refuse a plastic bag.

Educate the kids. When the kids are properly educated can have a significant influence on the parents.

Now there's a novelty. Educate the kids and let them educate the parents. In my time it was my parents who educated me about such things as this. School was mainly the 3 Rs.

But it might work if you can get the Thai schools on board.

The whole system teaches not to question older folk so it wont work......kids telling parents not to drop rubbish.......its simple really , many people here simply do not care on iota about ANYTHING except he who cant be mentioned and who could do a lot to stop this but it seems the whole..........I cant go there

Anyway Thais dont give a damn and its "their" country as they like to proclaim daily at 8 and 6! The fact their crap ends up on others beaches means bugger all to them.

What matters is if they can drop it without anyone seeing them do it , although here by me they dont care about that either, out the window or off the bike, crap is everywhere

May I ask, what are you doing to help?

  3. it will take yrs to happen i can remember when i was young it was a 6pack to drive some where and bottles out of window in oz

after 50yrs we have clean country now a small step at time my wife now gets angry to see people throw stuff out of car

Thank you. This is one of my favorite stories. I'm native NYC. Our family built and miantained Cabins on Lake George, NY where we spent much of our summers.

We'd always have side trips. The first time when I was still a very young boy we went to and through Canada VIA Niagra. It was late June, I was cold. I'd keep asking Dad, what's so different here. He would always answer the same, one day you'll understand. Now being unable to recall that day or my thousands of times to Canada. It eventually dawned on me. There isn't any litter. One of the countless treasures that is Canada. Clean.

  4. He just has one of those faces you would like to punch..................sneaky, oily looking bugger, plus he has more hair than me.

Some of the worlds biggest scam artists were very suave and considered handsome. To want to punch someone merely because of their looks, speaks volumes about ones ethics and moral character, more so than the mans abundance of hair.

I didn't take that as the spirit of what was said. My first thought was to pour ice water over his head. I get your point. He doesn't look like the Robin Hood, type. I didn't mean my thought in the literal sense. What you said was helpful to my thought process. Thank you.

  5. One dies (an American) a couple of days ago upcountry and they catch this one, Maybe things will look up. Now if they would only get the British and Irish guys who run boiler rooms in Bangkok. A few bars and pubs I won't go to because they were bought with money from the boiler rooms.

Yes Sir People also die and kill themselves (self murder) from the acts of these deviants. Life on Planet Earth.

  6. Now surely the name of "Kwame Rasheed Jackson" would raise some questions when leaving the US?

It doesn't sound like an American name?

Interesting. What does an American name sound like? Pachino? Weinstein? O'Donnell? Obama? How about first names. Are Barak, Woody, Cassius and Luigi American names?

It probably has one of the most diverse mixes of cultures of any country in the world.

As I'm sure you know, almost all converts to Islam adopt an Arabic name. There are many converts in the US. At some point in the future all those Arabic names will become American names.

His name sounds like a completely American name. An African American islamic convert from New York.

Only American name I in a rush remember is Winnetou !!

    Many other names you will find in Criminal history in UK ;

    some hundreds year back ;

They have Kwame on passport charges somewhere in USA. They'll be playing with them for long time . What is reported here is the tip of the iceberg. Good men / women, they devote entire careers just to get hold of these creeps. Some delay retirement.

  7. I have recently moved to Australia.I am banking with Westpac.i have tried to transfer money to Bangkok Bank,Chiang Mai branch online. The swiftcode is BKKBTHBK.

    Always worked from Ireland

However Westpac is not accepting it,saying it is either

    BKKBTHBKXXX or

    BKKBTHBKTRD.

    Can anybody advise on this.

    Thanks.

In my experience it is usual for the XXX to be added to the end of 8 digit swift codes, or sometimes other letters, so it makes sense that BKKBTHBK would not be accepted without extra letters on the end. When in doubt i ask the receiving bank to let me know the full swift code and id ask to confirm if its XXX or TRD on the end, or both.

In my experience until I changed banks (the branch,) the U.S. bank didn't want to proper supervise. The person I had to deal with (local small beach town) didn't know or care about their job. Now it gets done within the hour. New branch manager, etc. The swift you have is correct.

  8. Hmmm. Since all I've ever stolen is hearts (unintentional) and you can't even give them back. When I was in the business of machines, knew of some people. They would part them out. I lived in another area of our shop. When my partner surrendered to the temptation. He was found dead on his Mother's sofa, less than one year after. RIP . It is a bigger picture than that, but the grown ups here know what will happen. Too bad. My partner was decent man too. The door of theft opens so many other doors. All doors we want to keep closed. We were earning real good money too.

  9. I've some skin issues. Agent Orange related. No that is not a foe of 007. When we're living in Thailand, in a week or so, gone. I don't do anything, just live in Thailand and thank God for life.

In the USA, my Uncle prescribes all sorts of things. The one for the full head of no longer dark brown hair, Ketoconazole Shampoo, 2%. It is consider anti fungal, but when I did shave the head so I could look, didn't look like any fungus I ever saw. The doctor never even looked at it before writing the script. Hope it helps. Strange something on the head would be such a pain for the butt. Best of everything Sir.

Being half Thai I find it particulary offensive when people lump Thai women all together as liars and con artists. Then when someone lumps Western men together it's another story. My female relatives all work hard at their jobs and not one can speak English yet because they're all natives of Pattaya they're lumped in with bar girls and hookers.

I've been here 15 years met many Thai women and dated them from all walk of life from bar girls to business owners and never found one of them that didn't want something from me. but I suppose you could include all women in that I think.

It is the same all over, at least here it is a bit more up front in many cases. You try divorcing in UK or US and see what you get taken for especially if you have kids.

In a word, they are degenerate. Or there would have been no need for a Lamb of God, for the Buddha or any of the prophets.
No disrespect implied or intended. We're responsible for what we bring out in others. For what we bring out in others also dwells within us.
It isn't about races or nations. It is about God almighty. How may we better serve.
    Great post, Sir.
I am also half Thai. The better half I'm happily married to. Why are we so happily married? She has taken our labor of love and taught me how to keep my mouth shut. Ah, she is also a Holy woman.
