My firiend wants to buy a beer bar.

A guy I knew in France never drank in his own bar. He didn't have as much fun but he's one of the very few bar owners I've known who didnt have a drinking problem. -
Local expat needs help after motorbike incident
rattlesnake replied to snoop1130's topic in Phuket News
Absolutely. Also open grids on the ground. I narrowly avoided one in Pattaya once, and when I drove through there again one week later it was still there. And I walked straight through one on the Suvarnabhumi parking lot a few years ago, a gap on the floor about 15 cm wide. I was walking fast and looking up in search of the entrance. Hurt my leg bad, thought it was broken and I was going to miss my flight but luckily not, got fixed at the airport hospital and off I went. But I did tell the staff to please get the gap fixed, plenty of motorbikes on that parking lot… Dangling cables too, love those. -

Local expat needs help after motorbike incident

I got my car and motorcycle licences in France, respectively in 1999 and 2007. I was also a professional driver in my younger years and have a lot of experience on European and Thai roads, approximately 1 million km. Never had an accident, although I am aware it can happen to anyone anytime. And as the topic is about insurance, I will just add that I have unlimited coverage and repatriation insurance (a must-have IMO). There is nothing racist about what I said. Although nothing beats experience, receiving proper training is absolutely fundamental and this is a big flaw in the Thai driving licence system. There aren't enough actual driving hours, and the licence is delivered by your own instructor at the end of the course, not by an independent third party. -

Spare me your lecture. My wife got her licence in Thailand in 2016 and I can confirm it is an absolute joke, just listen to the instructor for a week, nod, wai, do a few spins around a track and off you go. Thankfully she had me to actually teach her to drive. The test is a major problem in Thailand. -

"Given the terrible driving standards the death rate on Thai roads is actually quite low. " Absolutely agree. -

How does one fail a Thai driving test? A child would pass it. -
The question I asked was: "But all these people catching Covid have had multiple jabs of the safe and effective vaccine, so they will be fine, right? Or am I missing something?" The obvious point of the question being "where is the problem, considering most people have had their life-saving jabs?". You are the one who replied citing the CDC and purported differences between vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals.

"Importantly, there is no direct connection between a fee paid for an application and the review outcome for that application." You'd have to be incredibly naive to believe that.

Indeed, as you say, the COVID and other vaccines are primarily regulated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). A substantial portion of their money comes from user fees paid by the pharmaceutical companies they regulate: https://www.fda.gov/about-fda/fda-basics/fact-sheet-fda-glance "Human Drugs regulatory activities account for 33 percent of FDA’s budget; 65 percent of these activities are paid for by industry user fees." Pharma money is everywhere and this is an obvious concern for anyone capable of basic independent thinking.

Festival turns fatal: Covid surges post-Songkran
rattlesnake replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Same for me and mine: no shots, no masks, no fear, no Covid. I had not expected Songkran to have such a cathartic effect on people, but it is a welcome surprise. Human dynamics are unpredictable. -

In my neck of the woods, since Songkran most Thais have ditched the mask. Nobody cares anymore. -

If you're looking for a "bar scene", forget Hua Hin and try Phuket or Pattaya. Trust me, I've lived in the three.

Currently 34° during the day, that's far from the hottest I've nown (40+). Relax and grab a beer, it's not about climate change and from May it will get cooler, as always.

Over the past two years, more than 300,000 cases of vaccine side effects have accumulated in the Ministry’s own system, and more and more people are lodging compensation claims against the state — which, based on the contracts signed by the EU with vaccine manufacturers, is liable for any vaccine-related damage. All this has forced Lauterbach to make a spectacular U-turn. In a recent TV interview, he admitted that vaccine-induced injuries are a serious issue, and that his ministry was planning to launch a programme to investigate the negative consequences of Covid vaccination and improve care as soon as possible. https://unherd.com/thepost/germanys-health-minister-changes-tune-on-vaccine-injuries/

It's a common Covid vaccination side effect. If you are "vaccinated" against Covid and willing to accept that this could have caused it, feel free to PM me, I can provide you with a detox protocol.

France Donates Over a Million Doses of Booster Vaccine to Thailand
rattlesnake replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
"Side effects from the COVID vaccines are rare and mostly minor" - this is a straightforward statement of a simple fact, based on real numbers and studies by experts and governments over the last 2 years and a half since the 1st covid vaccine came out. Have a look at the study I posted, those are real numbers, try reading it and interpreting it independently rather than parroting obsolete catchphrases. "Also one can delude oneself to one's heart content, however that delusion will become a danger to society when it steers one into a direction of becoming a danger (such as transmission of covid) to others." You do know this "vaccine" does not prevent transmission, right? -
France Donates Over a Million Doses of Booster Vaccine to Thailand
rattlesnake replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Indeed, that was the way it was in most countries, including mine (France) where just one year ago it was actually publicly debated whether those who refused the jab should be forced to, or imprisoned. We were banned from public life and any questioning of the purported harlmessness of the jab was treated as mental illness. As always, time tells. But there will be consequences for those who condoned this. -
