  1. However if he is so keen to move why is he not called upon to make up the shortfall in the money being asked. Whether it be 5 million or 10 million quid that would be small change in the overall Beckham bank vault.

This rule should apply to any player wishing to "jump ship" for no valid reason other than a change of heart.

I think youd almost see an end to transfers if this were to happen, great idea though.

Id love to know what really goes on in these big transfers.

  2. Britain invests something like 20 times the amount that Australia does on youth tennis(lottery money and the lawn tennis association is the richest in the world), but because it all gets invested into the old boys network and the same old people with the same failing ideas Britain constantly are crap at tennis, it seems we're doing the same in football.

Now the FA must easily be the richest governing body in the world so youd think theyd sought it out with some structure, and ban all fullsize pitches and goals from schools. Instead of overpaying a succession of managers and that includes Capello whether he wins the world cup or not he's paid 4 million a year more for managing England then he'd get for managing Italy.

Also when i took these kids to football one of the people teaching them was a fat women who knew nothing about football, it was 5 pound subs (it should be free), and at the end of the game they gave about half the kids a medal for scoring a goal or having a good game, <deleted> me when i were a boy you had to win a cup or the league or be player of the season to get such a reward.

    Rant over!

  3. I know he's not a bad player, but wont every Chelsea fan be chuffed to bits to see the end of this jumped up, deluded, whining tw4t.

I like the quote about being a family, <deleted> he's been asking to leave this family since the day he joined it.

Ivory Coast international striker Drogba was never at his best under former boss Scolari, who was sacked earlier this month.

The Brazilian coach even singled out Drogba for blame following the Blues' Premier League defeat at Manchester United in January, and the 30-year-old feels this was the beginning of the end for Scolari.

"When you manage a team like Chelsea, you need to unite the team when things are rough - not divide them," Drogba told The Sun.

"Chelsea is a family - and a family needs to be together. When Scolari started blaming individuals, then that was bad.

"To name one player as to blame for what happened in a squad of 24 is wrong."

Drogba was singled out by Scolari as one of the players that went behind his back to meet with owner Roman Abramovich, but the Ivorian denies this.

"I was shocked he said that," he continued.

"How can one player be responsible for not winning for so many weeks and losing points?

"This is not an individual sport. When you win games, everyone is happy and enjoys it together. But when we lose, we have to lose together too.

"And if I had as much power with the owner as has been said, then Jose Mourinho would still be here, no? If I had that power!

"I have respect for Scolari as a man and a coach, but I was not involved in any discussions with the owner."

Drogba admits he is delighted with the appointment of Hiddink.

"Hiddink is just what Chelsea need right now," he opined.

"I think with this coach, there are a lot of good things to come.

"If you ask the players if the intensity has increased, then they will tell you how tired they are when they go home.

"There is no great need for him to come and speak to the players individually.

"We know that we are not in a good position in the league.

"We have to get better - and we will."

Chelsea face a crucial league game away to Aston Villa at lunchtime on Saturday. The Blues, in fourth spot, trail third-placed Villa by two points going into the clash at Villa Park.

  4. & as if by magic............. :o

    This one's 6, yes 6 !!

Yeah, but he's not English.I can just imagine the comment from an English youth 'coach'(I use the term loosely) if someone like him turned up at a coaching session."Now,now melad, can't have any of that 'fancy dan'stuff here,we'll show you what real football is."

The coaching system in England is a total mess from grass roots upwards. From an early age,the emphasis is on the art of winning rather than teaching the art of skilful football. When an English kid does come along with a bit of talent, the media and press go overboard with adjectives like "fantastic, marvelous, wonderful."If he was foreign,he wouldnt get a mention.

Yes i couldnt agree more, i remember our teacher with his hoof the ball as far as you can up the field tactics instead of trying to beat a man when we were about 10, fortunately i knew better.

I took my mates boy to football recently he's 9 and the were playing 8 a side on a full size pitch with full size goals, i'd hoped theyd moved on from that.

Also the schools of excellence take on the big tall kids who can kick the ball harder and the shorter kids who have better technique rarely get a shout, there doesnt seem to be a bit of foresight to realise the shorter ones with better technique will get taller.

    The ball greedy little git.

If I was playing against him I would take the little <deleted>'s legs out! haha he does look good though but let him enjoy his childhood until he becomes 15/16 then take things seriously, otherwise he will be burnt out by the age of 23.

There is a few a these superstar youtube kids there was on from Brazil a few years ago be interesting to see what becomes of them ........ Scott Parker was the ball juggling trickster from the Mcdonalds advert 15 odd years age - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mrqiFBJ7Np4

  6. :D Hmmmm! some very mixed opinions of this place ! ANymore suggestions

    Thanks guy's.

Actually I am looking for a cheap place for a month in this area without the added extra's eg water and electric's :o

Butchers Arms/Inn is very nice im sure you'd get a deal this time of year.

  7. Who would have thought it, i'm worried that Carlton Cole will be missing from our Team, if you would have said that to me 2 Years ago i would have thought it was a result...

Maybe he's trying more at playing football then "roasting".

  8. I kind of stayed here for 1 night last year.

I got a room on the ground floor and the receptionist had 3 or 4 of her mates in getting drunk outside my room, i asked politely twice for them to keep the noise down but by 3am i'd had enough and packed to check out.

I ended up having a huge argument with the receptionist about not paying for the room, eventually she accepted i wasnt going to hand over cash, when leaving i was sure that one of her drunk bf's was going to come up behind me as things got so heated.

Also the rooms are filthy they absolutely stink, ive stayed in nicer prison cells.

With all the choice in this area you can do far better.

  9. The Sawasdee Mansion on Soi Bouakow is quite nice. Air, mini fridge, large Carpark, Swimming pool, lift ect..

Sawasdee Mansion on Soi Bouakow is dreadful dont stay there unless you like cockroaches and dated rooms.

Pattaya bay Resort is good if you can get that price, theyll have parking. As for Queen Vic i wouldnt think theyve parking.

  10. From watching Beckham I notice he doesn't even need to beat the full back

He has no pace to or the ability to beat a player, whereas his replacement in the England team Theo Walcott has, i always think its better to run to the byline and cut it back..... defenders and keepers hate players who run at them more then someone who can cross a ball. When he first came on the scene he could beat a man but within a couple of years he was just crossing it in as opposed to beating the man, he had that ability coached out of him.

Good luck to him anyway, I hope he makes the England Squad for SA we will need someone with that level of experience around the players and he can come on for options and always a threat at Set pieces but hope a younger player is not sacrificed or given a proper chance ahead.

He's fcuked up someone elses chances at 2 tournaments where he was injured but still played, hence affecting the teams performance for his personal glory.

  11. Many of the successful English clubs over the years were coached/managed by Scotsmen. :D:o:D

Now Scotsmen just need to learn how to play the game.

Apparantly in all walks of business there are a disproportionate amount of Scottish managers, one theory is this is due to the better education system in Scotland that in time enables them to reach the top.

They just dont make very good translators.

  12. I'd be willing to wager a shiny gold coin that he'll end up a AC Milan, though im not too sure Milan need another 34 year old on their books, it has to be more to do with marketing.

His i will play for England when i'm injured attitude under Svens regime shows how much he is interested in the greater good of the team, he deserves to get his ass bitten for being a money grabbing fool and selling his soul.

  13. I am absolutely positive that nowadays, potential managers, instead of being chuffed to bits about being offered a top managerial position, are more interested in their contracts in the case of being sacked than they are about anything else.

Hit the nail on the head there, did you see Sven interviewed before his loss to the USA, all he talked about was his contract that he still has, then he not the press brought up about the Pompey job and he was boasting about how great it was that such a club would be interviewed with him. This man is obsessed with money and seems to win the lottery no matter how bad he fcuks up.

  14. Whoever gets the Chelsea job is going to need another <deleted> load of money and a couple of years transition if they want to compete with the Man U again, most their important players are either old, past their peak or just wanting to play for Inter Milan.

  15. The Ibis hotel in BKK whilst looking clean and standardised on the internet was actually a bit scabby when i got there not sure about the one in Pattaya, the locations good though.

  16. He actually took us from being about 50mil in the red, to being in the black, even after spending millions. He had this money available despite his frozen money in Thailand.

How no club generate this kind of profit bar Man U in 2 years, not many owners actually use their own money its often a interest free loan to the club.

Even abromovich does it this way.

Sorry sanmiguel but i got to disagree. Man U certainly don't get an interest free loan. In fact the Glaziers had to pay way above the normal interest rates to buy Man U and put them something like 600 or 700 mill in the red. Abramovich bank rolled Chelsea out of his own money and they are only just now trying to be a self funding club. They are obviously all extremely clever guys with their dosh but whatever way you slice and dice it, we went from owing the bank 50 or so mill to being able to splash out on players.

Glazers arent that rich, so they had to use the banks money to buy ManU, hence theyd nowt to lend but ManU are in a league of about 6 global clubs who are as good as a licence to print money.

Abromovich has no doubt ploughed tons into Chelsea but in todays figures it showed a huge loan from Abramovich to Chelsea, 339 million GBP to be exact

    http://www.google.com/hostednews/canadianp...zQmlql9q7zeOmYg

Im just curious as to how they went from a debt to having cash in the bank in the year or 2 he was there, Taksin must have digged deep afterall, if the Man City accounts showed no debts or loans.

  18. The way he has shown himself to be unfit to run a football club is by spending 10s of millions of pounds that neither he nor Man City had and didnt bring any success, this kind of business strategy would have eventually bankrupted the club if it wasnt for the Arab billionaires.

From what i gather Man City fans liked him for spending lots of money then selling up to someone with too much money.

  19. The Premiership Diner which is in Soi Honey Inn about 3/4 of the way up (formely of Soi Diana Inn) have brand new quiet rooms for 15000bht a month including everything they also have wireless.

Sorry dont have a number for you.

  20. can anyone explain this having seen the two incidents?

Atkinson told the FA that, having subsequently watched video footage of the incident, he would have shown the England international a red card if he had seen it at the time.

    _______________________________________________________________________

The match official felt the skirmish was not serious enough to warrant a red card and, as a result, will not be charging the Portuguese superstar.

A Football Association spokesman said: "We contacted the referee, who confirmed he didn't see the incident at the time and, having reviewed footage, he has also confirmed he would not have sent the player off for violent conduct had he seen it.

"On that basis, no further action will be taken."

Because one referee thought it was worth reporting the incident after he saw it on camera whereas the other didnt.

When it comes to things getting highlighted on TV id say the teams that are on more will get worse treatment on the basis Hansen and the like will go on and on and on about it.

But in this case maybe one ref is more intimidated by Fergie then the other is of Sparky, after all Fergie is a Sir.....w4nka

  21. I didn't see much from Santa Cruz to suggest he was worth Allardyce's £25 million price tag - wonder why such a valuable commodity was only brought on as sub?

Yes i never got that one, he's been sub constantly under Allardyce, surely it was worth taking the 15 million on offer and getting Jo on loan in part exchange before Everton got in.

For hughes to want Santa Cruz in the first place when he's meant to be building the greatest team in the galaxy shows lack of imagination.

  22. I am a big fan of Richards, but I think he has gone off the rails.

There was an incident last year where he was filmed in an uncompromising position with some bird, on a night out.

This year he has been awful.

I think that he has let all the adulation go to his head, and he believes that he is a lot better than what he is.

I also think it would help if he had a vocal experienced defender to play alongside with.

He needs to knuckle down, otherwise he will just become another 'nearly man' who never quite fulfils his potential.

think that's a pretty fair summary man. it's interesting that fabio capello doesn't consider richards international standard.

He was dropped around the same time as his party antics were hitting the Sunday newspapers :o

    Never been considered since.

Isnt it more to do with him being crap this season? and the young Pompey right back having a good season?
