agree, where do they get it from, if the photo is supposed to be that of the day there is no way the figures are in line.

    Great!

Everything is better than the highly suspicious Astra vaccine. Partial tests, painful side effects and now suspected to be lethal in some cases.

Trolling ?  yes, a little, but faced with some arrogance I will abuse it for a few more years.

Don''t agree with you on this, I see no real evidence that the astra z vaccine is not a great contribution to reopening society.

All I want is an effective vaccine and by effective I mean one that would prevent any infection causing acute medical conditions to administered and allow international border opening with life returning to normal.

  3. Internet here seems not to be hindered with the problem of old copper infrastructure and I have had 2 direct fibre to home for my home and my wifes small business, a couple of holiday chalets.

Currently I use True as they offered a deal at about £40 per month with 1000 / 100 speeds. OK the down is usually around 700 but I can live with that.

This service also provides my 4K TV plus we have decent WiFi all over the property.

3BB who I have also used for fibre have competitive packages especially if you don't want TV.

Both companies are reliable and it is very very rart I have service problems, also with my True I get a 5 gig data allowance and sim card for my phone bundled in, wit hthat ans the large number of  WiFi enabled cafes etc here I never use all my data.

Occasionally I do wonder if the Thai government are restricting the internet but that is more of a suspicion than something I actually know happens.

    Hope this helps.

Letting people with money buy the vaccine privately is win win. Takes some load and cost from the public system.

i guess they will wait till late 2021 to avoid accusations of letting the elite jump the q.

I hope we can buy J and J - effective and single shot only

I never expected to be able to get vaccinated in anything like a reasonable timeframe (?) without paying for the privilege. The problem is the lack of approval, I think so far only the sinovac and the Astra are approved and whilst I have no doubt the sinovac is an effective product I am not sure how accepted it will be globally for travel. Quite important for me.

As I said in the original Op on the 5 vaccinated with mild symptoms, where one of them had nausea and vomited, I said it was not a mild symptom.  Now the other shoe has dropped and it was an allergic reaction to the vaccine.  Glad they got her settled and possibly under observation as an allergic reaction can sometimes be fatal.

Yes allergic reactions can be serious but that doesn't mean there should be any reduction in vaccination.

Individuals can be allergic to all sorts of things so I hoe this is not used as a further no vaccine scare.

So now local administration will have to talk to private hospitals. They are still aable to import.
That would be faster than waiting for the government.
probably there is no harm in taking 2 different ones. The uk has ordered 200mln for 70mln and switzerland 18mln for 9mln. So they will be able vaccinate fast and will have stock of boosters for future waves.
thailand has ordered only for half population and the 2 most controvential ones

But do they have to get it from the government?

I can recall, during the first outbreak, that there were several stages that went into attempting to prevent mass gatherings.  Banning them didn't work, curfew didn't work, this is because people were too drawn to gather to drink.

So they banned the sale of alcohol in order to prevent people from gathering secretly, as this was something they could not prevent whereas the sale of alcohol they could.

In terms of bars/restaurants, people's behavior under the influence of alcohol is obviously very different, and they aren't going to be social distancing.  Also there is no real way of ensuring that a restaurant sticks to "one glass of wine with a meal" so they have to ban it outright.

Obviously I'm not going to trawl through a month of news stories from a year ago, so I hope this explanation is enough.

    Hi BangkokReady

Appreciate the constructive reply but I am looking for an official reason, in particular the one for the ban in restaurants. As I say , I appreciate the reply  I am just looking for the actual official reason on paper by the authorities though.
