Senator Porntip asked to leave restaurant in Iceland
spidermike007 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
A dozen good reasons. They benefit from the fortunes their parents make off their illicit jobs. They are treated special due to their parents positions. They need to know that their parents are monsters. We must stop coddling the kids. Life can and should be ugly for those gangster families. -
Mysterious Man in Suit Causes Stir in Pattaya

Bob Smith? Why is this news? There are eccentric people all over the world. So what? They add a bit of color to the place, and I am thankful for them. Personally, I think vanilla is a bit boring. Saw this recently in LA. A bit more eccentric. -

She may be entitled to state her opinion, but she is NOT entitled to dine out in Iceland! Go home woman. Go back to where they are afraid to show disdain for who you really are. A monster, that is who. -
Understanding Thailand’s New Tax Directive on Foreign Income

They are simply too disorganized, nor smart enough, nor well staffed enough, and incapable of enforcing this, to any meaningful degree. I would not worry about it. They will question a large incoming wire transfer here and there. That is likely about it. After all it is PT and the army. We cannot expect much in the way of competence. -
Yep. Outrageous. The US is now the home of stupid pricing, on nearly anything. Especially anything labor related.

Correct. They are traitors to their people and their nation. They have traded their honor, morality, decency, ethics, and sense of fair play, for power and money. If I were religious, I would label that as the work of the devil! -
Senator Porntip asked to leave restaurant in Iceland

Yes, and please explain how she is entitled to occupy the post of "army appointed proxy senator", who voted against the will of the people? There is nothing appropriate about her life, or her work in the senate. She and her fellow proxies are human abominations. They deserve more scorn and humiliation, not less. Bring it on. Kudos to the Thais who stand up to these people of dishonor. -

Absolutely incorrect. It is a privately owned restaurant, and is owned by a man of courage and honor. He is shaming a criminal, army appointed senator, who is a traitor to her people.- 97 replies

Senator Porntip asked to leave restaurant in Iceland

This is a fantastic development. I have been saying from the beginning more people should shame these highly corrupt, rather evil army appointed senators. And their entire families too. I have no issues even with shaming their children in school. The kids should know who their parents really are. The should know their mom is a corrupt monster and not a decent person. In the video clip, the male chef said he was informed that the senator who failed to show up to vote for the Move Forward Party PM candidate was in the restaurant. “Go! Get out! You don’t belong here… We don’t welcome you.” and “She’s a god d*** senator. Get out of here. You’re corrupt. Go!” Brilliant stuff. The people might need to take charge now. These senators need to be declared enemies of the state. They are essentially committing treason, at this point. A list of their names and photos needs to be circulated. The people need to call them and their children, siblings, and parents out at work, at school, at restaurants, and in public. Shame them into submission. Embarrass them to no end. Make them conscious of the incredible amount of damage and erosion to democracy they are causing, and let the army know we are not buying your power mongering and greed. Remember when Cha Cha said "I will be cooperative, and honor the results". Just another of his thousands of lies to the people. -
1600 is about what you pay for a massage in Los Angeles. It is outrageous for Thailand. Unless special services are included, a 50 baht tip would be OK.

Russell Brand and why the allegations took so long to surface
spidermike007 replied to Social Media's topic in World News
One of the problems he faces, is that he was so outrageous in public. Kissing interviewers on the lips, and bragging about his conquests. Not smart. He sort of invited this. And with his behavior being so aggressive in public, few believe he is innocent of the charges leveled against him. -
Why do people on here call Thailand the land of smiles?
spidermike007 replied to bignok's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Because it is, compared to back in the US. Thais are very intuitive. They sense your mood and are receptive to your demeanor. Usually, when I display light heartedness, humor, a nice smile, and a pleasant attitude, I get that back big time. And I find that invigorating. Especially from very cute, young waitresses! Not the case in the US. Service staff are heavy hearted, and most do not even detect that you are joking around, that is how seriously they are taking themselves. And few smile back. The US these days is like the new Moscow. Well, that is an exaggeration. Not here. Not at all. -
Absolutely correct. I never hesitate to push push here with the police. It works 99% of the time. We have nothing to fear from them. And everything to gain, when pushing back against institutional corruption and malfeasance.

A lack of discrimination? Indecisive? Too much information? An inability to narrow things down?

Thailand is heavily involved in the slave trade and the kidnapping of people for use within the fishing trade. This has been very well documented. Have they gone after the very well connected slave traders? No. Why? There seems to be a lack of conviction. And Cambodia is not going to help. That place is run by a land grabbing, ex Kymer Rouge serial killing leader, posing as a democratically elected PM.
