Thailand Sentences 7 to Jail for Protesting Myanmar Coup
spidermike007 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
It would appear to be a hub of oppression, suppression of citizen rights, reform resistance, malice on the part of the judiciary, corruption, army over reach, and overly conservative backwards movement. -
While I am certain the RTP appreciate your defense, I was recently there and witnessed this scam in action. The ones who were getting pulled over were wearing helmets, unlike most of their Thai counterparts. It is possible they were simply doing license checks. When asked to stop, I kept on going, so I wouldn't know.

What did you have for breakfast?
spidermike007 replied to BritManToo's topic in Western Food in Thailand
Sorry, but asking that is about a trite as posting your bowl of oatmeal on Instagram. Let's take about things that are of more interest to adults. -
The man was simply performing his duty to society, and reporting criminal malfeasance. However, the criminals do not like getting caught in the act. I was there recently and saw countless Thais without helmets being waved through, and countless foreigners with helmets being stopped. Is that not profiling due to race? Why would they do that? Was there any possibility that they assumed the foreigners have more cash in their pockets? But, don't admit guilt. Try to turn it around. Pure deflection. Busted!

Thailand’s exports drop for 7 straight months, 5.5% year-on-year
spidermike007 replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
It will likely get worse, as the worlds financial markets are due for a major correction. And it is quite possible the Thai baht has been over valued too. We will soon find out if building apartments somehow equates to running a large economy. -

Well, if anything positive has come out of this shuffling, it is that the biggest joke will be gone. Hopefully, gone for good. -

Thailand Sentences 7 to Jail for Protesting Myanmar Coup
spidermike007 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Yep. Sometimes alternative methods have to be found, when the will of the people is consistently thwarted. Do you not think men of guilt and men without honor, should be subject to blowback? What makes their family immune, when they have been enjoying the perks for ages? -

Locking this man up will be the only effective way of stopping a lifetime of criminal activity and grifting. Prison, please. -
Thailand Sentences 7 to Jail for Protesting Myanmar Coup
spidermike007 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
It seems only shame, humiliation and a lack of tourism dollars, are the only things that can motivate this heinous government and reveal it's utter lack of humanity and morality. -
Opinion: Dear Pheu Thai, please stop your pantomime
spidermike007 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Good article. They used to be beloved and respected by the people. Now? Few believe in them anymore, after this betrayal and abandonment of their principals and utter display of immorality. Who is the new PM anyway, other than a Real Estate builder and salesman? Remind you of anyone? -

Perhaps it is time for the Thai people to hold the judges accountable. Shame them and their entire families for such a treasonous act against the youth. -
Thailand Sentences 7 to Jail for Protesting Myanmar Coup
spidermike007 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
An absolute abomination, and proof that major reform is needed here. When a court sentences young people for protesting against a genocidal regime, there is a level of moral bankruptcy present, that says alot about the outgoing administration. The Thai army is beyond the pale.- 32 replies

1. I urge you to continue cracking down on the youth, the protesters and anyone who does not demonstrate absolute fealty. 2. Do not consider the goodwill of the people. It just gets in the way. 3. Please let us do whatever we request. Remember, we assured your selection. 4. Let's take a tour of the place. Want a glass of 1982 Lafite Rothschild? 5. You can go now.

Justice Ministry Accused Of Granting Undue Privileges To Thaksin
spidermike007 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Who appointed the justice minister? Who cut a deal with PT to be part of this administration? Who thinks a deal was not made in regard to the old man? Of course he is getting special treatment. That was likely part of the deal. Expect the sentence to be commuted. Soon. -
Can I guess you are living either in Pattaya, Phuket or Samui? There are alot of lovely and gracious people elsewhere. Perhaps you want to try moving around a bit. Opening your mind to the possibilities. Yes, if you get involved in a relationship with a woman much younger than yourself, from a family of modest means, there will be expectations. But, I got a different kind of expectation and demand from Western women back home. And it was significantly less honest.

We don't know where his alignments are, who he will be taking orders from, or how he will govern. He has no experience. We don't know who he is, really.

Giuliani to surrender to authorities in Georgia election probe
spidermike007 replied to Social Media's topic in World News
“I never thought I’d ever get indicted for being a lawyer,” Giuliani said on his radio show last week. Ha! You have already been suspended from practicing law, which should have happened alot sooner. You were not practicing law. You were practicing gangland law. You were flouting every law possible. You deserve prison, just like the man you once bowed down to. One can only hope. -
Bullying is a terrible crime. Some take it way too far. Not saying I condone this response, but the bully did have some sort of price to pay, at some point in his life.
