  1. A minor intellect will usually use a flame like "the bar scene", to deflect from their own lack of knowledge, when criticizing others.
  2. Thailand mourns. For now, it's future has been stolen once again by the army thieves and goons. The army is no doubt the enemy of the people, and so is the new stooge PM. Thankfully, Pita had to good judgment to create an opposition party. This was a wise decision. So far, Pita has shown us nothing but integrity and that is in very short supply here, when it comes to politics. They need to oppose the highly toxic army and the sold out PT, which likely lost alot of it's remaining goodwill by jumping into bed with the reptiles.
  3. PT will be finished soon. Everything they stood for was gone in the blink of an eye, when they agreed to allow the goons to continue their March of misery. It is sheer madness. An unbelievably horrific decision. Likely due to a promise to get the old man off the hook.
  4. No need to thank the people. They did not vote for you, nor do they want you. Time will tell if you are capable of doing anything productive. You will still be dictated to, by your masters, who do not have good intentions. Thailand mourns. For now, it's future has been stolen once again by the army thieves and goons. The army is no doubt the enemy of the people, and so is the new stooge PM.
  5. Most Olin shocks you see are fake. Real Olin shocks, front and back are about 40,000 baht. The fake ones are about as common as fake designer shirts here. The fake Olins are likely significantly lower in quality than the standard shocks the bikes come with, which are not bad.

  7. Does anyone want to speculate this was part of the orchestration to drop the charges and release him from jail, in exchange for the acquiescense and selling out of PT?
  8. Yes. Most Thais do not wear helmets on the islands. I saw many Thais being waved through on my recent trip at multiple check points when in Phuket recently. And most of the time they waved me over. I did not stop once. Just kept right on going. They screamed at me, but did not give chase. They are looking for easy marks, and I have no interest in being one for them. Wearing a good helmet and have a Thai motorbike license, so I have little patience for their fund raising campaigns. See ya!
  9. The first thing I always do is upgrade from the stock tires, which are a hard compound, and have poor grip. IRC, I believe. Low end tires. An upgrade to Pirelli or Michelin makes an enormous difference. Like a different bike. Great grip in wet or dry. Well worth it. The suspension on both bikes is adequate. A real upgrade would be to Olin, which is far too expensive for most of us.
  10. Obviously, I was not aware of that "surrender".
  11. The senate terms expire next year. Let us see if part of the army participation was about extending the corrupt, foul, heinous, toxic, power grab, with the army appointed senators. Disappearing into oblivion would of far greater benefit to the good people of this nation, in regard to both the fake senators and the army. They serve no real purpose.
  12. When it comes to the RTP, always guilty until proven innocent.
  13. I am so sorry I was truthful, and showed how things really are. I know it embarrassed you guys. I won't expose reality and truth any more. I promise.
  14. Yes. And it was the opposite of what the people voted for. Anything but change, reform, and forward movement. Maintain the status quo, at all costs. A tragic day in Thailand.
  15. It is a perversion of the defamation laws, when locals without helmets are waved through, and foreigners with helmets are stopped. We all know the intent. It has nothing to do with safety. I hope it was an anonymous account, and he used a VPN. Power to the people. Truth always hurts the corrupt and the guilty.
  16. I recommend the new ADV160. It is a very sweet bike. Got one for my gal. The Click cannot compare. It is less stable. I ride a Forza 350. Same fob system. Never an issue. I keep the fob in my pocket, and it is very convenient. You have to keep fresh batteries in the fob, by changing them every 6 months or so. That is it. Both are excellent bikes.
  17. It is clear the moment PT struck a deal with the dinosaurs, that Thaksin would not serve much time in jail. I expect him to be out of the country club, within a month.
  18. I agree with your sentiments. America is going downhill, fast. I would not want to be a person of color there now. Dealing with law enforcement alone, would be miserable. For me, it is no big deal, as I don't seem to fit their profile. But, in general life there is declining on so many levels. However, I would sure love to see Thailand moving forward, for a change. I know that is what the majority of the people want. The army was the last thing they wanted, and any respect they may have had in the past, is gone, baby gone. It appears that reform was the last thing in the world the dinosaurs were willing to tolerate.
  19. The people asked that the military be run out of town. The most important part of this equation was only 42 seats for Prawit and 37 for Cha Cha. It was a huge repudiation for the status quo. The people said no, I don't think so, you guys are dinosaurs, we don't want you, we don't like you, you did a poor job, and now you need to disappear off the face of the earth. Yet, they remain, due to corruption, and the sellout of Peau Thai. This is an absolute travesty for the nation. A huge setback. They picked a PM with no experience, just like with Prayuth. A bottom of the barrel selection, yet again.
  20. I don't debate Thailand's great progress. However, it happened prior to the recent army goon coup. The nation is recognized by the World Bank as "one of the great development success stories" in social and development indicators. Despite a per capita gross national income (GNI) of US$7,090 and ranking 66th in the Human Development Index (HDI), the percentage of people below the national poverty line decreased from 65.26 percent in 1988 to 8.61 percent in 2016, according to the Office of the National Economic and Social Development Council's (NESDC) new poverty baseline. Prayuth has proven to be a highly ineffective prime minister, even setting aside the term limit controversy. Following the coup and its harsh aftermath, in which pro-democracy protests were violently repressed, he never accepted any semblance of a return to parliamentary democracy—even after his coalition won the 2019 elections. He has also maintained his authoritarian tendencies. He has personally mocked and threatened the media and civil society, and his government has charged at least 200 activists and opposition politicians with various dubious crimes, including lese majeste. https://www.cfr.org/article/prayuths-misrule-turning-thailand-powder-keg
  21. Though I realize it is very uncommon here, not using a childs seat in a car is like playing Russian Roulette with your child's life, with 5 bullets in the chamber of a 6 shooter. A child yanks the wheel. Please. Children yank anything they get ahold of. In this situation, the child is the parent, and the parent is the child. This child owns his parents.
  22. I have always handled the money. I just don't understand turning that task over to the woman. I see alot of men who barely have 100 baht in their pockets. Frankly, I don't find that manly, not interesting on any level.
  23. I was recently on Bangla Road, after many years away from Phuket. I was astonished at the lack of talent. Plenty of gals. Just very few who were pretty and young. I would go so far as to say that applies to the entire island. Might have been an off week? Not impressive at all. Having said that, Phuket is still a gorgeous island and the Andaman remains an astonishing body of water!
  24. You have got to be kidding. Which economy are you following? Do you have any idea what the REAL situation is here, for the average Thai? Do you really think the worldwide economy is in decent shape? Talk about being out of touch.
  25. For a moment, I was thinking anyone was better than Prayuth, Anutin and Prawit. Those goons have no leadership ability. Other than some infrastructure, they did nothing for Thailand, except move it backwards. Now that Pheu Thai has cut the treasonous deal with the army, all bets are off. They completely betrayed their base of support, and the nation. The army is the last institution in the world this nation wants anything to do with. Any reputation they may have once had, has gone down the drain with those very long 9 years of ineptitude, malfeasance, corruption and theft. So, where does the nation go from here? It is likely to continue it's backwards spin. Perhaps into near oblivion and even a greater degree of irrelevance. Watch. It is likely after jumping in bed with the army, all charges will be dropped. Two or three days in a cushy jail. Did they sacrifice the long term well being of the nation to avoid his prison term?
