err, this is real 'damaja' and i actually experienced the inverse myself... went to ThaiVisa to post to a topic then suddenly realised I was signed in as 'whybother'!?

Obviously I have no idea about how/why. I didn't do a sign in (usually just stay logged in) and have never even come across the user before, let alone know password etc.

We had a decent session on Wednesday, by theway, with 12 turning up and a pretty evenly-matched game for an hour and ahalf.

I've booked again for this next Wednesday,currently timed the same as last week – 9pm – as there was no available slotsearlier; but I'll check again to see if can get an 8pm slot. More players are welcome.

Ok, I tried to get a booking at Arena 10 but it's fully booked all tomorrow evening. And Arsenal is fully booked until 9pm, so I've made a booking at 9pm. Hope that's not too late for some people (though I'm sure it'll be better for some)...

So, at last count, I'm assuming the following will be able to come:

Quick reminder/confirmation for tomorrow's footy...

After last week's bumper turnout of 22, one would hope we'll have a good turnout this week also.

Having said that, I've come to the conclusion that there is a certain quantity that there's just difficulty optimising - 20, 22 and 23 in particular.

24 or over means we can comfortably split onto two pitches, but I think last week demonstrated, any less than 24, it's not worth it.

12-21 means we have multiple teams of 6 to rotate (with extra subs rotating ad hoc or as part of a 'team' of 7).

But, 22 and 23 are bloody tricky numbers, as we have too many sitting out if we are doing teams of 6 and not really enough to split onto 2 pitches without losing out on something - e.g. one side has 5 vs. 5 which is crap on these pitches. Or, just 1 or 2 injuries and it's screwed on at least 1 pitch, but we all still have to pay for 2 pitches.

I think next time we get 22 or 23, we should just stick to the one pitch, split into teams of 6 but with subs overlapping, and then extend the time another hour for any that want to.

For me, I think probably can't do next week; but following after that I'd be up for Wednesdays.

Yup, it's a new year and Bangkok footy is back on the Sunday menu!

After a brief (if not welcome) respite for 2 weeks, a full monty turnout will be anticipated this Sunday, so get warming up now!

We've probably got a couple of tons of food and booze to burn off between us, from the festive indulgences.

Hearty welcome to the recently interested new comers - including Adam #4 ('Keefy' to avoid confusion), Simon #2 (Simon P.), and Sam #2 (TeacherSam) , who'll all hopefully be making 1st contact this week.

Having a big turnout now will probably work out well for the ones who've fattened up last few weeks (myself not excepted), as we'll be able to have some quick rotation.

Don't forget the warm-up though guys - quick jog and stretch at least - to get the muscles awake and reduce injury risk. Latter part of last year I think we had at least 1-2 injury drop-out every week for about 6 weeks (sod's law it'll be me this week now! )
