Anyone out there managed to apply for their UK state pension by telephone from here in Thailand using their invitation code?
My pension is due and I'm wondering will it be simpler than filling out their 26 page form for overseas claimants.
Presumably they should have my details which would negate a lot of the questions on the form.

Went last Wednesday around 2.30 pm to do my 90 day and Retirement visa, was in and out in around 15 minutes.
Also did the 90 days online this week for a mate of mine and it worked perfectly.

I'm surprised they haven't come up with a plan to try and keep foreigners already in Thailand a bit longer.
It wouldn't be hard at all, just extend all permissions to stay by 6 months.
Of course that wouldn't make much money for them in bogus insurance policies, overpriced testing, and compulsory prison quality hotels at 5* plus prices.
That would be logical thinking though.

This Tree Town area at Soi Buakhao has been very busy for weeks (not only yesterday) with little or no care about any restrictions. It seems to be a very special zone here in Pattaya in the middle of Central Pattaya - so not at a remote location.
When the beach closed during the start of this pandemic all the freelancers migrated to Tree Town and it seems to have become a lot more popular since.

Genesis
Pierre Bensusan
Amazing Blondel
John Pearse
Frank Zappa
Bert Jansch
John Abercrombie
Volker Kriegel
Tewan Sapsanyakorn
I saw john mclaughlin and the mahavishnu orchestra once back in the seventies.

People with retirement extensions based on money in the bank need to use banks in order to get the letter for immigration.

Looks like more than a few were stocking up.
