  1. Drivers are constantly being bombarded with a phenomenal amount of data. In this context we are trained how to think, to anticipate what's not only ahead but also behind and around us. See a ball bounce into the road and be on instant alert - expect a child to follow, then expect the unpredictable from local traffic; overtake a stationary vehicle and expect a door to open, or someone to run out from the blindside. If the driver ahead is indicating left it doesn't mean he's turning left; if cross lights are amber as you approach, do not assume other drivers are going to stop...

This is how I would describe Thai-driving, if there is such a thing.

I feel much safer in the streets of Bangkok than anywhere else I have been, sure, mistakes are being made and the concept of space is Asian.

Drivers are constantly aware of other 'objects' moving in traffic, such as me on my motorbike. I couldn't say the same for most European countries.

  2. I made a new thread with poll about the FOREIGN radial feminist in Thailand -

    Thank you

    Johann

Sorry, can't find the poll, but there is a very similar one already.

So now it is only one feminist, and she is radial and already in L.oL.

Or is it a poll about the radiant feminine in Thailand? Axel please help out!?

    -, and her interracial marriage?

  3. I will also refuse to open those same doors for a woman that is not a lady, thereby causing them consternation.

Interesting comment, Chuckd but a bit incomplete.

How do you define a lady and a non lady?

It must be a visual thing since we are talking about keeping doors open or not here.

    Please, enlighten us.

    He is on about ladyboys...

  4. Just treat her like you would a girl from your own country, and you should have no problems,

I do not think so - in my native country divorce rate is near 50 percent, it is always the man who pays, even if he is cheated by the woman -

    typical Europe female dominated society....

SHE should have no problems, but you as a man, you are on high risk and the results (his problems) are not depending how you treat the woman, but are pure luck and you cannot do anything against it.....

This is much better anywhere in Asia (and probably true with Latin America and some other spots in this world), and I recommend international marriage to every man from Europe.

    Johann

You forgot to mention that women in Austria retire earlier than the men, but the men have to work to pay for it. In interracial marriages this is not so.

  5. My girlfriend likes to remind me not to use strong language with people I get annoyed with, such as the drunk neighbour with his industrial Karaoke. I don't know how serious it could get?

No immediate retaliations so far, maybe my pronunciation of Thai swear words isn't very good.

I have been wondering, though, why my car tires get slashed every second day?

  6. By the way, this posting is intended to be serious and is not a hoax....

This is precisely what is so very disturbing about it.

Somebody who for many years never wondered what he might possibly got wrong to get the perpetual negative reaction from others as he does.

As a hoax his postings would be bad enough, but to be serious?

-YOU NEED HELP, Johan. I am sure the Austrian taxpayers wouldn,t mind to finance it. I am sure they also told you already.

People pretending not to have heard of feminism , people who live in Bangkok questioning whether child abuse, traffiking and explotation really exist, but in favor of equality, but radicals, no , they might actually succeed in closing child prostitution down, given another 20 years of hardnosed campaigning, no- don't come to Thailand?

I am starting to realise the postings are real, not some big joke.

  7. hoops, didn't I just see the same post on the last page?

Am I included when you relate to 'the postings of the radicals'?

Reading on, I guess not, good. I' d hate to have that label stuck on.

Looks like we were both putting a post up at the same time, my bit in between your 2 is a response to meemiathai's post, sorry.
