  1. It tasted of plastic before I worked that one out. ????
  2. I have 3 - I bought them from Lazada, they are OK, but they aren’t designed for this country and some functions don’t work, like Spotify, (but some people get them to work) I only have three skills, which I use to control apple homekit, and another that allows me to stream music from my home server along with BBC. I have one scene that automatically reads the news and my calendar for the day when I eat breakfast - and a function that syncs my shopping list to my iPhone shopping list, and my apple calendar, That’s about it. I don’t worry about amazon, if they want to listen to my wife snoring, no problem, you could always mute it if you felt they were analyzing your sex habits. However I am concerned about third party skills mining my data and whatever else, so I avoid using them. For me they are an ultra cheap and readily available alternative to apple HomePod.
  3. Did you render over them? they look nice.
  4. I use a Khon Kaen Uni Dental hospital, can recommend university hospitals enough, some say they some of the trainees are a bit brutal when doing general cleaning and filling, but they seem to have certain guidelines regarding price and they are also full of tech. I had to have two teeth pulled and a denture made on the lower jaw, the payment system is made crystal clear on your first visit, 50B to sit in the chair, everything else is quoted, I was sent for x-rays the same day as my first consultation, sent for x-rays, 500B and an appointment made for the denture specialist the next week. On that day, he introduced himself, took impressions and gave me the price of 2000B for two teeth. There was a bit of a muddle up, when I arrived a week later for the fitting, he was surprised that I still had two teeth where there should be a gap, and some specialist with amazing English rushed in, explained everything and removed them, with a hidden cost of 350B each, but that wasn't really any of the dentists fault, more like the reception didn't book me in. I had to have the denture fitted after years of visiting clinics, getting cleaning and filling - no dentist bothered to mention to me that it might be worth going to see a specialist until two months ago, too late. Like you say, they are more interested in selling overpriced fancy colored retainers. I would go to a hospital over a clinic any day.
  5. I meant to add that we only seem to have frozen cardboard, not fresh
  6. I live close to Nakhon Nowhere and we have beef in Makro. Tastes like cardboard, but there are many varieties.
  7. If you want to keep a copy, it might be better to hunt out a BR rip remux from the Anniversary Edition (22GB for 1080 or 50GB odd for UHD) - You get the Malcom McDowell / Nick Redman commentary - this to my knowledge is the best, previous blurays were upscaled, Netflix rips can be a somewhat low bitrate. 136mins is the correct running time.
  8. There might very good chance that the current crew won't win the election - I think we won't be rid of this crew for a while yet.
  9. Maybe take a look at Logitech I have one of these on my 3D printer, it’s alright, 720P, not amazing but might fit your budget and spec. 700B https://s.lazada.co.th/s.SlDEp Logitech C920 ฿1,710.00 https://s.lazada.co.th/s.Slux0 or maybe the slightly more expensive 922. The picture is good, and people who I speak to comment on the decent microphone.
  10. Like I said, each to their own, I'm not knocking you at all but part of the enjoyment for me (and others, judging by reddit) was following the plot, seeing details move across the different series / movies and watching out for the little details.
  11. LOL - How can you do that? the stories of Breaking bad, El camino and BCS are all intertwined. Seems strange to skip a series or two. Each to their own.
  12. Did you check Lazada, there are usually servers and networking gear like fortinet firewalls and Cisco switches, available from a couple of sellers - obviously they do office clearances or similar because they usually have loads of Dell workstations too. You could try contacting them, they might be able to help. Their servers seem a little bit overpriced to me, they arent new models, probably quite expensive to run, and they arent give away prices as you would find in Europe or the states. I would be wary of running enterprise gear here, unless you can keep it in an aircon room. Network cabs - From experience, maybe you can find a 24U cab, but moving them is expensive and the carriers dont give a f' - I bought a new 16U that was a nightmare to get delivered, the packages were heavy and every parcel had been dropped, frames were warped, glass was smashed. I have a small 9U(?) short server cab and some other bits that I will never use, if its any good to you. ETS: Im just looking at the prices now, a R610 for 10K is ridiculous they are really outdated now and expensive to run, R620 has a decent reputation, not too sure about the spec, but it's 20,000+ - but anyway, you didn't want a server, just looking.
  13. I don’t think he will be around long - just enough time to install one of his cronies from his charity.
  14. Just think of it was Lao Khao - it would be the most popular place in my province.
  15. No mate, the cards, and the woman pointed with a pen, just basic blue, yellow, green & red. I thought it was like the numbers surrounded by dots, I just had a google to find something like it, and came a blank. I know you mentioned before about your difficulties, I wasn’t in Patts, so maybe different - just suck it and see, Good luck! My sight test was so casual, the woman was barking at me as soon as I entered the room, I’m sure I could have had my wife standing next to me tapping her fingers on your back to denote a colour. I have seen this Thais doing all manner of tricks like this to get through the driving / theory test - or given multiple attempts to do the braking test - just like schools, no one should fail. And correct, the perception test has been dropped, you got the same answer as me, the risk of transferring Covid from hand to hand by touching the buttons.
  16. I dont know what its like in Patts, but its so much better with a bit of organization, you usually had to queue up at 7.30 waiting for the doors to open and rush in, joining some long queue. This time, I had the first slot of the day with six or so others, we all did the color blindness test within a few mins, then the braking test, which as usual a few people messed up and had to repeat. Waited for the photo and card, I think it was about 45 mins and we were out the door. Good luck! I Dont fancy the alcohol spray mind.
  17. Yeah I know. I printed mine off and the woman at DLT wanted to see the copy on the phone before she would book an appointment for two days time. Maybe I needed it on the day of the test, not sure.
  18. You should have sent your log in to a mate and let them watch it. I say watch, but really, just wait until the video stops and answer the questions and then sent you a screenshot of the QR code, you wouldn't have missed anything.
  19. No, no, no, my wife - mine was a waitress in a Pattaya restaurant, she told me had only been working there for a few weeks, honest. .. actually, my wife was a BKK department store girl. She wasn't a graduate, i'm afraid to say - but she did attend some vocational school on Sunday to complete her education, so she had a university girls white blouse and mini skirt, at the age of 32 .. awesome.
  20. One of my favourite Asian movies - along with I saw the devil If anyone has been waiting Top Gun Maverick has appeared in without the hard subs in HD and UHD, thankfully it’s got Thai subs too,
  21. Yes, it gets easier - especially if you scan your application form and then copy the info to the new form. Setup a folder on your computer with an excel sheet of all the stuff you need to take, keep scans of stuff you only need to scan once, things like the hand drawn map. Drop the flash drive off at the photo shop, take wife to the ampur for KR2, collect the photos on the way home, print off all the copies, get up, go to the bank, and then immigration. Easy. With regard to the questioning, depends upon how you are treated at CW. It got easier at my old IO because I didn’t give a flying one because I was sick of the way I was being treated, always this inquisition, like I was a criminal - “where do you get your money?” I have investments, “ahaaahhaaa you told us you had property last year, you lie!!!!!” well, aren’t the properties an investment? The third time they just stopped asking the questions about how we met, etc. In Khon Kaen, (my first here, although 4-5th extension) the officer didn’t even speak to me, it was just a formality, just turn out for the afternoon to sign a few papers.
  22. Oh, my machine just downloaded House of the Dragon which is a game of thrones spin-off https://youtu.be/DotnJ7tTA34 Doesn’t do anything for me, but just incase anyone else is interested.
  23. Yes, they wanted a copy of the house book - I think I took my lease aswell the first time and needed to return home to print off a copy.
  24. Tell me about it .. we have a lean to kitchen on the side of our rental, it gets so hot, the time of day can be a factor. YouTube recipes need a bit of work before the result is acceptable, because of the factors mentioned and also the ingredients. After years of dithering, I finally bought a kitchenaid artisan, agreed, it provides a much better result, also it keeps everything in one mixing bowl, no chance of whisks falling over, or dough everywhere, was a wise investment, it keeps her from moaning about the mess.
  25. I stumbled upon this guys channel the other month - he doesnt so much give recipes, more like an explanation. I think he has some good content. You might find some info here - I slow proof my bread in the fridge as someone else mentions above, but I dont tend to make loaves, and then sometimes for no apparent reason, my foolproof method just crashes out.
