  1. I moved to Capital One and ditched Citi because the cap1 atm/credit card has no foreign transaction fee. Good timing on my part it looks like.
  2. Easier to change address at the bank than on the DL, so I'll try that first. A copy of the lease apparently works too.
  3. Worked with Citi for me a few years back, but I moved to Capital One and don't use Citi anymore so cannot comment on the current status there. I have noticed that many banks, etc now allow getting the OTP via email as an alternative to via text.
  4. Beat you with google voice. Free. Thankfully I was an early adopter and got it when it was much easier to sign up. Works fine for all my US OTP needs.
  5. I would hope changing the address would affect older statements too. Maybe not. I'll check after the address is changed then if not, I'll do as you suggest. Thanks. "Arrive by post"? You get statements in the mail? Easily downloaded if needed.
  6. Here's a snapshot of what you get when you get a bit deeper:
  7. I was filling out the paperwork and was looking to use a k-bank statement, but it had the wrong address, so I'll need to get that changed before I go that route. I'll have a look at international brokers. Thanks.
  8. I use torguard. Worked with nordvpn too before I abandoned them.
  9. I can log in fine if I VPN to the US, Canada, etc. Any country not restricted.
  10. This week? Or last?
  11. Vanguard is the reason I'm doing this. Foreign addresses will soon cause drastic reductions in what you can do in Vanguard's funds. No moving money around between funds. Only able to withdraw. So I'll move a bit from Vanguard to SI and see how it goes. Apparently you get one of those Schwab ATM cards everyone seems to covet so much too.
  12. From my readings I would say yes. The account is for non US residents/citizens to allow them to invest in the US market. There's a list of countries to choose from on the website. You have to click on the country and it will let you know. Thailand: yes. Philippines: no. Canada: no. This is residence country, not citizenship country. Apparently it depends on the tax treaties.
  13. What did you use for proof of residency? A certificate of residency from immigration? Copy of lease? Bank statement? Thanks in advance
  14. The big problem for Trump is even if he has grounds for appeal, he needs to put up the full amount of the 385 million, either in cash or bond. And no bank that does business in NY can give him the money.
  15. +1. I had season 1 unwatched on my NAS since it broadcast but neglected to watch it thinking it was marvel-like. After starting downloading season 2, I gave it a go and pretty much binge watched season 1. Had I realized it was from Showtime, I would have watched it much earlier. They do good sci-fi. The first few seasons of Stargate SG1 come to mind.
  16. Yes. I was there yesterday. Didn't do the EKG yet, but it looks like this would be the place to get it. Quite impressive for a Thai public hospital.
  17. Oh my. Does this get added to the Brit count since he already had left Thailand? Current Brits 21, Russians 17.
  18. Where's your link to the source of the screenshot? I'm sure the original article was not about pot., likely meth or heroin.
  19. Just like Trump, Carlson is another “useful idiot“.
  20. I think both of those were more than 1500 baht.
  21. Like all the Republican “news“ they spin up to keep the MAGA rubes excited, this is just another example. Thankfully the discovery happened far enough in advance of the election to make a difference. I would bet a large sum of money that this story never makes it to Fox news or the other right wing “news“ outlets. Expect more of the liars to be charged shortly.
  22. Thanks. I think it's just an EKG but will confirm. Actually I need a data dump from my pacemaker too but I just visited BHP and the technician for the pacemaker company only comes to Pattaya monthly. Funny, when I was in Bumrungrad it only took minutes after they called for the technician before he showed up. Fortunately I have a remote device that can dump the pacemaker data and send it to my home country where they can hopefully send it directly to Dr. Koonlawee Nademanee who did the ablation or to me to pass it on. I'm sure I could get Dr K to send a request for the EKG to any hospital here if needed. Lifecare has the EKG listed at 3000bt. My initial consult with Dr K at Bumrungrad including EKG, pacemaker dump, blood pressure, etc and the consult was about 5500bt.
  23. I prefer not to go to BPH for the obvious reasons. Maybe some local (govt?) hospital with a heart clinic could do it. Thanks
