  1. Yes, that was in the OP as shown above. And it was the reason I made my post, to point out the evidence that there were two people in the room. They specifically pointed out two opened bottles and two glasses on the table.
  2. There was a takeover. You expect rates to go down after that? 555
  3. And I thought the “illegal operations“ had something to do with organ harvesting, like stealing a kidney or something. How disappointing that it was only about human trafficking.
  4. Hmmm. So he wasn't alone. Must be suicide then. TiT.
  5. No. I only showed the business card from the Bumrungrad surgeon, Dr Koonlawee Nademanee and said he told me get an EKG. After I had done the EKG(and had received the results) they had me check in at a desk where they inquired if I wanted to see a doctor. I of course declined the offer.
  6. Just did the EKG at Bang Lamung hospital, Pattaya. All in 650bt. I'm a new patient there so no idea how that breaks down into registration cost, id card cost, and EKG cost. From driving up to triage and leaving with the EKG took a bit under 90 minutes. Quite a smooth operational.
  7. And further, if you are able to ask......... then you need to consume more!
  8. Add another item to the list of f-ups the Republican have done or are doing that will cost them the next election. 1. Abortion 2. Failure to pass bipartisan immigration bill 3. Failure to fund Ukraine, Israel, Taiwan Keep it up boys. Give away a big majority. See statehood for Puerto Rico and DC. 15 supreme court justices. Etc. Keep it up, please.
  9. This is news to me. I spoke with SI directly and we discussed moving existing mutual funds from Vanguard to my new SI account where they would remain in the same fund. My big concern was avoiding the tax hit of liquidating a mutual fund with a substantial amount of taxable income. I was told no problem. There is definitely a restriction on brokerage accounts not being available to exist if you have a foreign address. Vanguard closed mine years ago due to this.
  10. I moved to Capital One and ditched Citi because the cap1 atm/credit card has no foreign transaction fee. Good timing on my part it looks like.
  11. Easier to change address at the bank than on the DL, so I'll try that first. A copy of the lease apparently works too.
  12. Worked with Citi for me a few years back, but I moved to Capital One and don't use Citi anymore so cannot comment on the current status there. I have noticed that many banks, etc now allow getting the OTP via email as an alternative to via text.
  13. Beat you with google voice. Free. Thankfully I was an early adopter and got it when it was much easier to sign up. Works fine for all my US OTP needs.
  14. I would hope changing the address would affect older statements too. Maybe not. I'll check after the address is changed then if not, I'll do as you suggest. Thanks. "Arrive by post"? You get statements in the mail? Easily downloaded if needed.
  15. Here's a snapshot of what you get when you get a bit deeper:
  16. I was filling out the paperwork and was looking to use a k-bank statement, but it had the wrong address, so I'll need to get that changed before I go that route. I'll have a look at international brokers. Thanks.
  17. I use torguard. Worked with nordvpn too before I abandoned them.
  18. I can log in fine if I VPN to the US, Canada, etc. Any country not restricted.
  19. This week? Or last?
  20. Vanguard is the reason I'm doing this. Foreign addresses will soon cause drastic reductions in what you can do in Vanguard's funds. No moving money around between funds. Only able to withdraw. So I'll move a bit from Vanguard to SI and see how it goes. Apparently you get one of those Schwab ATM cards everyone seems to covet so much too.
  21. From my readings I would say yes. The account is for non US residents/citizens to allow them to invest in the US market. There's a list of countries to choose from on the website. You have to click on the country and it will let you know. Thailand: yes. Philippines: no. Canada: no. This is residence country, not citizenship country. Apparently it depends on the tax treaties.
  22. What did you use for proof of residency? A certificate of residency from immigration? Copy of lease? Bank statement? Thanks in advance
  23. The big problem for Trump is even if he has grounds for appeal, he needs to put up the full amount of the 385 million, either in cash or bond. And no bank that does business in NY can give him the money.
