  1. Yes, you are liable for the damage to the bike. The contract will say it needs to be returned in the same condition it was rented. It is up to you to attempt to get funds from the person you had the accident with.

Look at it differently. If someone had stolen the bike, you would owe the replacement price of the bike. The argument you are attempting to use would mean it would be up to the bike's owner to find the person who stole it and get restitution from him.

  2. South Korea's capital has ordered the closure of all clubs and bars after a burst of new cases sparked fears of a second coronavirus wave as President Moon Jae-in urged the public to remain vigilant.

The nation has been held up as a global model in how to curb the virus, but the order from the Seoul mayor on Saturday followed the new infection cluster in Itaewon, one of the city's busiest nightlife districts.

More than two dozen cases were linked to a 29-year-old man who tested positive after spending time at five clubs and bars in Itaewon last weekend.

Health authorities have warned of a further spike in infections, with around 7,200 people estimated to have visited the five establishments identified.

"Carelessness can lead to an explosion in infections," Seoul mayor Park Won-soon said, adding the order will remain in effect indefinitely.

Heat and humidity = no major virus ourbreak. Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam. All tropical countries. Go too far north to Russia and China or too far South to Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and Phillipines, its a different climate.

Really? Have you ever been to Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia or the Phillipines? All are tropical countries with high temperatures and high humidity  just like Thailand. Maybe you should look at a map or a globe occasionally. I believe your argument has just been refuted.

A check of bank, or even worse, credit card statement will show a crappy exchange rate, fees levied by the credit card company or home bank.

The fees can also be hidden in what it costs to run your home account, some banks may offer no foreign/transaction fees etc, but the account has a ridiculous yearly fee, requires a minimum balance, minimum monthly deposits etc.

My mastercard ATM from capital one has no foreign transaction fee, no yearly fee, no minimum monthly deposit required, and the minimum balance, if there is one, is insignificant like maybe $500. The exchange rates I get are better than the rates published on xe.com. They make money by attracting customers that are tired of paying the 3% foreign transaction fees others charge. These customers move a substantial part of their banking to capital one, including their credit cards (which also have no foreign transaction fees), which is how they make their money. I moved all my US banking to capital one from citi.

  5. I do this at BB all the time, generally 15k or 20k, sometimes as much as 150k(my atm card is limited to 5k dollars a day)

Be aware that not all BB brances do this, and some require  an embossed card, at least a few years ago.

I have both mastercard and visa no foreign transaction fee cards. I did a 10k withdrawal simultaneously with each. The MC gave slightly better than the rate shown at the time on xe.com. The visa withdrawal cost 1% more from my bank account. The bank wasn't cha5ging it, i just assume that visa gives a worse conversion rate.

    Good luck.

It isn't brainwashing, because we have a choice, that he gave us. There are many religions because a lot of people turned their backs on him and thought there was a better way, a better God,something easier. There is only one God,the others were made up because of a lack of faith, a defiance.

So of course, the one you follow just happens to be the one true god, how lucky for you. I submit that if there were one true god, it would be the one with the most followers. Likely, that is not the one you follow. I also suspect a member of one of the other "cults" would have the exact same response you did.

God is beyond logic, beyond understanding, beyond imagining, beyond human comprehension. If we knew what God is he/she/it wouldn't be God.

It's called faith for a reason.

You call it faith, I call it brainwashing. And the simple fact that there are multiple religions, with billions of followers, each with a "god" that is different in many ways than the others, leads much credence to my viewpoint.

Go deeper. How was the universe, life and everything created? Did it all just happen from nothing? Think about nothing, the absence of everything. Nothing can happen in nothing.

Eg Take a glass ball and evacuate everything from within it- every last molecule of matter and gas. Does anyone believe that something would emerge in that nothingness? To say something emerged from nothing to create life, the universe and everything is, IMO a nonsense.

So then you infer that your God created the universe. But, using your logic, go back even further and tell me where your God came from. Until you can do that, your argument is useless.

Unless your on a wanted list somewhere or have something to hide what is the concern?

Nobody saw anything wrong with Facebook getting all your data either, with a very similar argument. Look where that got in just a few years...  Some people are a bit slow to learn from their own and other people's m8stakes.

Where are all these facial recognition cameras then?

If you could see them, they wouldn't be very effective, would they? It's to the point some airlines were doing away with boarding passes because they were using facial recognition. You may not see them in Isaan but check the streets/BTS in Bangkok, they're everywhere.

  11. Trump Officials Are Said to Press Spies to Link Virus and Wuhan Labs

    https://www.nytimes.com/2020/04/30/us/politics/trump-administration-intelligence-coronavirus-china.html?action=click&module=Spotlight&pgtype=Homepage

WASHINGTON — Senior Trump administration officials have pushed American spy agencies to hunt for evidence to support an unsubstantiated theory that a government laboratory in Wuhan, China, was the origin of the coronavirus outbreak, according to current and former American officials. The effort comes as President Trump escalates a public campaign to blame China for the pandemic.

Some intelligence analysts are concerned that the pressure from administration officials will distort assessments about the virus and that they could be used as a political weapon in an intensifying battle with China over a disease that has infected more than three million people across the globe.

Most intelligence agencies remain skeptical that conclusive evidence of a link to a lab can be found, and scientists who have studied the genetics of the coronavirus say that the overwhelming probability is that it leapt from animal to human in a nonlaboratory setting, as was the case with H.I.V., Ebola and SARS.

I know nothing about corona virus or the flu, but I know this.

In 2010 after coming from Japan I got a flu which lasted almost 3 months. Doctors in Canada told me to just sit at home and stay hydrated. 3 moths later I got permanent breathing problems that last to this day. I was 36 at the time and had no medical problems.

So, the above article stinks of BS to me. If I was 70 years old I would have probably croaked.

Flu doesn't last 3 months. You had something else and was misdiagnosed.

Did you die? No? Then you don't count. That's what the OP was referencing, people ASSuming deaths and counting events that did not occur.

  13. When the medical examiners’ list was available, it showed more deaths than the state’s count.

State officials have stopped releasing the list of coronavirus deaths being compiled by Florida’s medical examiners, which has at times shown a higher death toll than the state’s published count.

The list had previously been released in real time by the state Medical Examiners Commission. But earlier this month, after the Tampa Bay Times reported that the medical examiners’ death count was 10 percent higher than the figure released by the Florida Department of Health, state officials said the list needed to be reviewed and possibly redacted.

They’ve now been withholding it for nine days, without providing any of the information or specifying what they plan to remove.

Thats your opinion . Anything is possible! Research was suggested by the POTUS ! Bleach or a solution of it is used in the body(mouth) to disinfect.

    Like I sourced above

Putting disinfectants in the body, better known as embalming, is something I will wait for until after I'm dead, not something I would use to cause my death.
