Second Chinese-Language Billboard Ad Emerges In Thailand
Tropicalevo replied to webfact's topic in Central Thailand News
Just wait a while and Anutin will 'decriminalise ' all of this and say that Thailand can tax the process to generate revenue. Passport tax? Make the passport sellers get a licence and collect money from licences Thailand - the new hub for criminals to get other passports. -
Australian Father Seeks Help to Find Missing Son in Phuket
Tropicalevo replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
I cannot compete with that but back in the late '60s I left home aged 17. After a year or so, my mum asked my uncle to check and see if I was OK - she had not heard from me. Uncle found me no problem but admitted that he was not sure how to tell mum. I was living with three girls. (I think that he wanted to move in!) -

I suggest that you go to the Bangkok Airways office and ask them. (Next to Bangkok Hospital Samui.) I have not been there for a while, but I found them to be helpful when I was there last.

The only problem with W 11 that I did not like was no drivers for some older peripherals. eg a Canon printer that I had for years (2004?) Solid as a rock and it even had a fax machine/copy facility. No driver in W 11 so not recognised. I also prefer the old version of Windows Explorer - more flexible for copying or moving files and easier to use. I have three PC's with W 11, staff use the other two and no complaints.

Amazing what a good PR company can achieve. Srettha has not actually accomplished anything yet. -

Gambian Man Arrested After Seven Years Overstay in Thailand
Tropicalevo replied to webfact's topic in Koh Samui News
Well, this guy is not the leader of the pack at the moment. Only 7 years overstay. The BP has just announced a Nigerian on 3,214 days overstay. Cocaine dealer on KPN. -
For what it is worth, you can still get into theme parks, water parks, Disney thingies etc free or reduced rates. Friend of mine is just into her 60's and she has just found water parks. Now she drags her husband around Thailand to any that she can find.

And not a bad beer either. Sold in Tops, Big C and Tops Daily here.

I agree with OneMoreFarang. With me, it is volume, not % alcohol. 10 years of living with an enlarged prostate - I spent more time in the bathroom than was normal and acceptable to me. So, one can of beer for a sundowner 🍺, one glass of wine with dinner 🍷 then a pastis or two 🥃 before bed. Bathroom hours halved

Expats angry at huge concessions in latest Thai visa announcements
Tropicalevo replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I am not sure that the wingers are correct. Where does it specifically say the the new visas do not have to do the 90 day reports and TM 30's? Also, some new visas have to do border bounces - every 90 days! Personally, I would avoid those like the plague. The complete article also mentions that unlimited 'bounces' is not a confirmed fact. How long will these new visas be in place? Usual Thai trick of announcing something , seeing how the public responds and then introducing the rules later (or backtracking).- 454 replies

Gambian Man Arrested After Seven Years Overstay in Thailand

The tourist policeman with the white crocs, looks well out of place in that photo. It is as if someone has told a passer-by to put on the uniform for the photo op. -

30 Cars Stolen in UK Traced to Thailand, Returned to Owners
Tropicalevo replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
So the cars were recovered, by the police here in Thailand, seven years ago. For seven years, the cars have been in police custody. They obviously cannot just leave them 'parked up', for all of that time, so surely the police will have been taking them for daily 'test runs' to ensure that they are all in perfect working order?
