    Both wrong The girl was being scammed for 17 million yen and was told to change her SIM card and change hotels. The father was also being scammed for the 5 million yuan. It's all in the BP.

    Do you seriously believe the numbers that Hamas throw out to the press? Do you remember the press release from Hamas fed outlets that quoted 100's died when Israel bombed a hospital? It was a car park! Please get real.

    Bluddy well done to the IDF. Excellent news for the hostages and for their families. Sad that some innocent folk may have died but that is 100% down to Hamas. They are murdering cowards that hide behind schools and hospitals.

    She was travelling with friends. Not everyone has money. Even if they do, they do not have to stay in 5* rip-offs. I usually stay in small 'comfy' places close to where I want to be.

    Have you considered Choengmon beach? (North of Chaweng.) Very underrated. I think that it is one of the best beaches on the island, and quiet compared to Lamai or Chaweng. It is not a party place. Just chill. Lots of good restaurants. I do not know the Ibaza resort so I cannot offer comparisons. Mid July - you may find that some places will be quoting high season prices.

    Samui airport is definitely more quiet. Only 30 flights due in today. Most of the year, there are about 40 flights a day.

    So, instead of having trained, qualified and experienced pilots, we may be getting novices not long out of university. Yes, I realise that a more experienced pilot will be in he cockpit to fly the thing, but if there is a problem and he goes to the toilet or has a medical emergency.........?

    Hamas have NEVER honoured a ceasefire. They have been sending rockets to kill civilians in Israel for years. Fortunately the 'iron dome' stops most of them.

    This man should be in gaol for helping a killer to escape and avoid a trial. Hopefully this will now be in the International press and the world will see how the head of Red Bull really behaves. His son has been spotted in the hospitality areas at the F1 races but no one says or does anything.

    The pro Palestinian supporters conveniently forget this little fact, along with the rape and murder of innocent civilians on October 7th. THAT was genocide. Free the hostages and the fighting can stop.

    One owner has just renewed the villa licence. The property has been rented out on AirBnb since 2015. It is a three bedroom private villa. This is the current licence from the Tessabaan here on Koh Samui. Other places may be different. Villa licence cost 500 baht Pool licence Cost, 2,000 baht.

    It has been very busy up to May but things are quietening down this month. As you say, it should be low season and that is reflected in the villa bookings that we see. Even though many owners are dropping prices, uptake is slow. I cannot speak for hotel rates. Less traffic on the roads (at last) and the quieter beaches are even more quiet.

    Great. A doll. That'll get them rushing to Thailand. Sorry TAT, your roadshows may be too late for this year. Chinese guests usually come in low season ie October/November. Lower room rates and air fares. Also Golden week (01/10 to 07/10).
