I have been on a dependent visa for the last 6-7 years, based on taking care of my son. He will however move out of Thailand shortly and I wonder if I can change my visa type in Thailand to a retirement visa without leaving the country?
If so which form needs to be filled out? What papers are needed at CW for retirement visa in 2024?
Thank you

So I checked with WRLife and they do not sell to individual Thai but Thai citizens can join foreigners on their policy
-
Well my policy does not say anything about Thai citizen being excluded.
If you have the wording, then please let me know where I can read it. -
Happened to me on several occasions..
1. Due to not filling in phone number2. Due to having to update TM30 after coming back from abroad.
No explanations given in rejection emails.

May I ask , you say your family , Thai ? Because WR is not offering policy to Thai people, just something more for you to think about .
Also, just a thought m, have a look at AXA, previously was one of the most expensive ones, but have now introduced a few new plans and prices surprisingly good with full coverage.
i was with April international , changed over to AXA, half price premium. Admittedly yearly limit is much less. But enough to cover any incident . With April I had something like 100 million yearly , AXA I got 5 million but again half price premium
This is just not true.
I have 2 Thai citizen on my policy. No questions asked when signing up -

It's done in almost every transaction to minimize taxes and fees... If you want to lose the deal because of it, go ahead.. but it's an every day occurrence

Personally I go to Dr. Donna at Medconsult. https://www.medconsultasia.com/what-is-a-thread-lift/
Currently charging just 2,500 baht per thread though I think that is a timebound promotion.
She has done thread lifts for me twice, pleased both times with outcome. Lasts 1-2 years.
I also go to her for filler and botox. Often a combo of all 3 is needed for best results.
Thread lift as the name implies lifts things upward. Botox on the other hand is good for lines, especially on the forehead and crowsfeet. Filler helps restore facial volume and to some extent can lift things up when applied to say cheekbone area.
Oh really I had not even considered that, or I didn't even know she was in that business.
Thank you! I will look into it

oral capsules. Andriol testcaps is the exact name.
I have to read up on that in order to consider it and if it's even available in Thailand.
I wonder about the oral route considering it will pass the liver... -

You do not need a plastic surgery vacation service and no advantage to using one.
You can easily book with a plastic surgeon yourself online and make appointment. Travel and hotels are very easy to arrange yourself
Do NOT book at a hospital on or near an island resort or the like. For the best results use an experienced plastic surgeon in Bangkok.
You can get a free online consultation at www.yanhee.net Upload photos of your face from all angles.
Suggest also contacting the Preecha Institute.

Nowadays not so usual to get a surgical facelift at 55. Less invasive measures like botox, fillers and thread lifts usually suffice. Have you tried these slready?
Which place(s) should be considered for thread lift in Bangkok?

I am getting Nebido every 12 weeks. You can not get that in Thailand? What us the name of the testo you use?
I have read about Nebido in the past, but don't like the swings in levels. I prefer more reuglar injections in order to keep a stable level.
I don't know whether it is available in Thailand or not. I have always bought my own Enanthate from the pharmacy and inject on my own.

Yep just got rejected as well, despite my first 90 days being accepted.
Form filled in exactly the same as the first time and no reason given as to why the rejection.

Yes, I was asked that in January 2017, and that was the last straw. You all be photographed by the IO. I changed to an extension based on a WP after that.
However, I still got a visit after changing my extension of stay. The officer asked to see my child and my ex. Fortunately, she lived nearby, so she was able to come over.

I had a divorce agreement, stating I was responsible for our child, registered at the local district office which covered me in Phuket. Had to be a new copy every year from the office which only cost B30.
I had this document as well however on the first day they still insisted my ex needed to join.
In the end it was all about being drunk on power- 1

Went back to immigration today.
Went straight to the lady who handled my application and wanted to giver her "extra documents" they asked for 2 days ago (unnecessary paperwork they just threw at me before I left). She just told me to wait outside.
After waiting for another 2 queue numbers I went up again and told her my visa expires today and they have all my paperwork.
She went to her boss behind her, and I went straight up and asked why they don't accept the extra documents they asked for. She arrogantly refused to listen and just said "wait outside. Your application is not approved" and I told her she asked for more papers, but now you don't want them? As I tried to ask something, she cut me off and again "wait outside".
After waiting another 1 hour I went up again to the "boss" and asked to see her supervisor, who she claimed was not there and she would call me when she came. I told her I would go out and find the supervisor on my own. It took 1 minute and she called me back in, took the "extra documents" and things started to move..
Eventually paid the 1900 and got the stamp in my passport without any questions about my ex-spouse.
High on power, that's what they are.- 1

I hope you fight them and win , I videoed the little fat lady in hua hin
I know who you mean... They are making good money at the Hua Hin office.
I had an issue first year in Hua Hin, where the tall, slim, older guy asked me for 10.000 and I refused and stood up and started making a lot of noise. The lady you're talking about told me to settle down and asked me to come sit with her. She asked what the issue was and I told her with a raised voice that the "guy over there wants 10.000thb for my visa and he didn't even look at my papers".
She just told me to be quiet and she would fix everything. After that I never had issues in Hua Hin again.
But the guy is now the one sitting outside, handing over the paper to everyone coming to the immigration office.- 3

Yes I know.
I have been here for 19 years... Never had issues like this in the past!
Maybe times are tough for the officers during covid..?
