  1. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) said on Tuesday that she will move to introduce articles of impeachment against FBI Director Christopher Wray and Matthew Graves, the U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia. Greene alleged in a release that Wray has turned the FBI into President Biden and Attorney General Merrick Garland’s “personal police force.” She said the FBI has “intimidated, harassed, and entrapped” U.S. citizens who have been “deemed enemies of the Biden regime.” READ MORE https://www.cbs17.com/hill-politics/marjorie-taylor-greene-moves-to-impeach-fbi-director-us-attorney-for-dc/
  2. Former President Donald Trump has long touted what he says are strong relationships with high profile leaders on the world stage, but they actually think he’s a ‘laughing fool, according to John Bolton, Trump’s former national security adviser. During the CNN town hall last week, Trump said he could end Russia’s war in Ukraine in one day if he wins reelection to the White House. The war never would have happened, Trump said, if he won a second term in 2020. That’s hard to believe on both counts, Bolton said. 3. A Florida teacher says she is being investigated by her school and the state’s Education Department after showing her fifth grade students a Disney animated movie featuring an openly gay character. In a viral TikTok video posted Saturday, Jenna Barbee, a teacher at Winding Waters K-8 in Brooksville, about an hour north of Tampa, alleged that a parent, who also serves on the local school board, reported her for screening the 2022 title “Strange World” on May 3. Barbee made a similar allegation at a school board meeting last week. 7. A former associate of Rudy Giuliani sued the former New York mayor, presidential candidate and attorney to Donald Trump for $10m on Monday, alleging “abuses of power, wide-ranging sexual assault and harassment, wage theft and other misconduct” including “alcohol-drenched rants that included sexist, racist and antisemitic remarks”. Filed in New York state, Noelle Dunphy’s suit includes the allegation that Giuliani “often demanded oral sex while he took phone calls on speaker phone from high-profile friends and clients, including then-President Trump”. Giuliani is alleged to have told Dunphy “he enjoyed engaging in this conduct while on the telephone because it made him ‘feel like Bill Clinton’”. 8. GOP presidential candidate Nikki Haley declined Sunday to endorse a federal abortion ban and said it would not be honest for a Republican to promise such an unrealistic prospect to the American people. In an interview on CBS’ “Face the Nation,” Haley, who was ambassador to the United Nations and governor of South Carolina, said, "For a national standard, I think we have to tell the American people the truth." She noted the political realities of passing federal legislation through Congress: "In order to do a national standard, you’d have to have a majority of the House, 60 Senate votes and a president. We haven’t had 60 pro-life senators in 100 years. https://news.yahoo.com/nikki-haley-2024-candidates-pledging-231806032.html
  9. NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee has signed off on additional protections for gun and ammunition dealers, manufacturers and sellers against lawsuits within a bill that lawmakers passed after a deadly school shooting in March. The Republican governor quietly signed the legislation Thursday. Its provisions kick in on July 1. The state Senate gave final passage to the bill in mid-April, just weeks after the March 27 shooting at The Covenant School in Nashville that killed six people, including three 9-year-olds. 10. Today the Prime Minister will confirm the further UK provision of hundreds of air defence missiles and further unmanned aerial systems including hundreds of new long-range attack drones with a range of over 200km. These will all be delivered over the coming months as Ukraine prepares to intensify its resistance to the ongoing Russian invasion. This summer we will commence an elementary flying phase for cohorts of Ukrainian pilots to learn basic training. This will adapt the programme used by UK pilots to provide Ukrainians with piloting skills they can apply a different kind of aircraft. This training goes hand in hand with UK efforts to work with other countries on providing F16 jets – Ukraine’s fighter jets of choice. 16. A top witness in a Republican investigation into the Biden family has apparently up and disappeared without a trace—or at least that’s what Rep. James Comer (R-KY) said Sunday on Fox News. On Wednesday, Comer—the chairman of the House Oversight Committee—held a much-hyped press conference in which he promised to expose the preliminary findings of four months’ worth of scrutiny into the Biden family’s business dealings. Publicized as a “judgment day” for President Joe Biden, the conference ultimately proved anticlimactic, largely consisting of Comer throwing around vague, unsubstantiated accusations and failing to link the president to any of his relatives’ alleged “influence peddling.” READ MORE https://www.thedailybeast.com/rep-james-comer-says-hes-lost-track-of-his-top-biden-informant

Harold Thompson, age 22, is facing murder charges in connection with the death of 26-year-old Gabriella Gonzalez. The pair were in a "dating relationship," according to an arrest affidavit, and were seen walking together in a gas station parking lot the morning after Gonzalez had traveled to Colorado to get an abortion. 19. Republican and rightwing rhetoric over the state of crime in the US could spark a rise in violent incidents and worsen the country’s mass incarceration problem, experts say, as “tough-on-crime” political ads and messaging seem set to play a large role in the 2024 election. Violent crime was a huge focus for Republican candidates during the 2022 midterm elections. Republicans spent about $50m on crime ads in the two months leading up to those elections, the ads pushing a dystopian vision of cities ridden by murder, robbery and assault, and of Democratic politicians unwilling to act. 22. It's unclear when exactly the change was made but Eliot Higgins, the Bellingcat founder, first tweeted about it Thursday. Bellingcat's main handle did not appear in several searches made by Insider on Twitter Friday. Higgins' first tweet about the account being hidden came three days after Elon Musk began spreading doubt over the site's investigation into Mauricio Garcia, the gunman who killed eight people at a mall in Allen, Texas on Sunday.
