Elon Musk has said he plans to create a "TruthGPT" to counter what he claims is liberal bias shown by a popular chatbot. The billionaire Twitter, Tesla and SpaceX owner told Fox News his alternative to OpenAI's ChatGPT would be a "maximum truth-seeking AI that tries to understand the nature of the universe" Musk also accused OpenAI, in which he was an early investor, of training its chatbot "to be politically correct". Six more members of the Biden clan may have benefitted from the family’s various business schemes, bringing the total number of kin implicated up to nine, House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer revealed Monday. The findings come after the Kentucky GOP congressman and other lawmakers on the panel examined suspicious activity reports sent by banks to the Treasury Department alerting of potential criminal activity in transactions involving President Biden’s family. “Thousands of pages of financial records related to the Biden family, their companies, and associates’ business schemes were made available to members of the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability, which confirm the importance of this investigation,” Comer said in a statement. Oklahoma officials accused of talk of killing journalists
onthedarkside posted a topic in World News
OKLAHOMA CITY -- Oklahoma's governor is seeking the resignation of four county officials after a newspaper's audio recording apparently captured some of them complaining about two of the paper's journalists and knowing hit men and where two holes are dug. A portion of the recording was released by the paper, and it also appears to capture one of the four making racist comments about Black people. Gov. Kevin Stitt said Sunday he was seeking the resignations of McCurtain County Sheriff Kevin Clardy and three other county officials: sheriff’s Capt. Alicia Manning, District 2 Commissioner Mark Jennings and Jail Administrator Larry Hendrix. UN officials warned of an “alarming flood” of misinformation on Twitter after the use of hashtags including #climatescam soared during the Cop27 climate conference last year, shortly after Musk’s takeover. Anecdotally, climate scientists have reported a significant increase in climate denial tweets. An analysis revealed that 50 prominent accounts had benefited hugely from the new ownership, gaining 718 followers a week on average since Musk’s takeover. The Netherlands, which was the first country in the world to legalize euthanasia, will expand the right-to-die to include children between the ages of 1 and 12, the government announced on Friday after years of debate. The Dutch Health Ministry said the right-to-die will cover a very small group of children who suffer unbearably from a fatal illness, have no hope for improvement and palliative care is insufficient to relieve their suffering. “For this group, termination of life is the only reasonable alternative to end the hopeless and unbearable suffering of the child,” the ministry said in a statement. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has floated the idea of building a prison near Disney's Florida theme park. The threat, made smiling, came as he vowed to take new steps to assert state control over the special district that oversees the media giant's property. The Republican has been fighting with Disney since last year, when the firm criticised a Florida law curtailing gender and sexuality education. READ MORE https://www.bbc.com/news/business-65305166

The coronavirus pandemic appeared to originate from a laboratory accident, based on biosafety issues in the epicenter in Wuhan, China, and factors observed in the nature and early spread of the virus, according to a 302-page Senate report obtained by Axios. Why it matters: The detailed summary of an investigation by the Republican leadership of the Senate health committee doesn't concretely settle the question of how the pandemic began but evaluates the two leading theories, transfer from wild animals or an accident at a Chinese government lab, and concludes the latter is stronger. Details: The report is the result of former Sen. Richard Burr's investigation into the origins of the pandemic as the minority leader of the Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee. A key figure in the pro-Trump “Stop the Steal” campaign has apologized after being accused of asking teenage boys for sexual pictures. Ali Alexander has become one of the most ubiquitous figures in the MAGA movement. Trump himself reportedly requested that Alexander speak at his rally before the riot, with his appearance only quashed by a last-minute intervention from Trump’s aides. But this week, Alexander stands at the center of a scandal that raises questions about how powerful men in the far-right treat their younger acolytes. Yes I read it, so as confirmed no evidence of your claim that I quoted as the study was more focused on gun crime which I will remind you for the final time is not the topic. The Koper study summary states: 10.2.3. Potential Consequences of Lifting the Ban It is also possible, and perhaps probable, that new AWs and LCMs will eventually be used to commit mass murder. Mass murders garner much media attention, particularly when they involve AWs (Duwe, 2000). The notoriety likely to accompany mass murders if committed with AWs and LCMs, especially after these guns and magazines have been deregulated, could have a considerable negative impact on public perceptions, an effect that would almost certainly be intensified if such crimes were committed by terrorists operating in the U.S. Here we have that period they are referring to. Since the ban was lifted in 2004, gun massacres involving military-style weapons are way up. We found that public mass shootings — which we defined as incidents in which a gunman killed at least six people in public — dropped during the decade of the federal ban. Yet, in the 15 years since the ban ended, the trajectory of gun massacres has been sharply upward, largely tracking the growth in ownership of military-style weapons and high-capacity magazines. Using the Mother Jones mass shooting database, we identified the number of gun massacres over a 35-year period. (And following the F.B.I.’s approach, we excluded crimes of armed robbery and gang or domestic violence in evaluating public active shooter incidents.) https://www.nytimes.com/2019/09/04/opinion/assault-weapon-ban.html

An opinion piece it is not. You are making a specific claim: "Koper's research, which I cited, was sponsored by the US Department of Justice. He found there was not enough evidence to substantiate the claim that the ban was responsible for the decrease in mass shooting" Please provide the page number and appropriate quote out of the 114 page final Koper report that cites the ban was not responsible for a decrease in mass shootings as you claim. I've read through it and find no reference to that whatsoever. Regards gun crime this is not about that, its is specifically regarding mass shootings. The topic at hand. Of which the Koper report does not address.

Justice Clarence Thomas intends to amend his financial disclosure forms to reflect a 2014 real estate deal he made with a GOP megadonor – an acknowledgment that the transaction should have been disclosed almost a decade ago, a source close to Thomas tells CNN. The deal between Thomas and Harlan Crow, a Dallas real estate magnate and long-time friend of Thomas, involves the sale of three Georgia properties, including the home where Thomas’ mother, Leola Williams, 94, currently lives. We all know Feinstein was wrong, I made that clear that nobody is making that claim. As for the research, there is already evidence to the claims I made which were: there is evidence that when the assault ban was in place it reduced deaths via mass murders considerably. There is also no evidence in your claim that they would simply use another firearm. As again mass murders decreased.

The homeowner who allegedly shot Ralph was taken into custody on Thursday. He has been released pending further investigation. Civil rights lawyer Ben Crump told local media that Ralph's family said the gunman was white. "It is inescapable not to acknowledge the racial dynamics at play," said Mr Crump, who is representing Ralph's family.
