They were already too intrusive . Now it has become worse .

Did a quick look around and you're right , some sites are not blocked , but not all. Could be a temporary glitch . Don't really think they are changing policy on porn. But it brings back a smile on my face !
And since the autumn TV season really s-cks again , it's something to do in the evening ! Thanks for letting us know ....

Anywhere with a good aircon 24/7.
Or 2 weeks in the north in january , or like others say , high in the mountains , but driving home is a b....h ( female dog).

Only dumbasses hurt . If you have your 800K in the bank , income qualification doesn't count. You had the chance to exchange at good rates , why didn't you ?
I haven't exchanged to Baht in 6 years.
If you're just hanging on to your monthly pension , what are you doing here?

I didn't know . Thanks !

Another reason to have a shotgun in Thailand.

Tomato season has ended here up north.
2 , 3 months ago , the 5 kg bags at the market as low as 40 B ! ( 8 B/kg , 30 B /5 kg for the small tomatoes = 6B/kg) , not the best quality, but good for cooking, now around 100 B or more (= 20 B/kg). Supermarket always more expensive. The nice big imported ones : as expensive as back home in europe , only there they taste & smell better.
Nice big garlic doubled in price in the last year or so , why ? Chinese speculators :
The small Thai garlic s-cks. I'm not spending an hour a day peeling them and taste is average.

I bring them with me from europe , same with razorblades.

Thais and Farang alike, I could show examples near me where they will wear a helmet on the main roads in the daytime, but remove them as soon as they get onto the back roads (even while mid journey) where they're not expecting to get a fine - same at night time - no police no helmet.
Thailand is way too hot to wear a helmet.

"To us westerners it is crazy and the danger is obvious."
Speak for yourself Bangkok Barry. I'm a westerner and I don't think it's crazy nor dangerous . In many countries people ride on roofs of cars , busses & trains. It's great for the Thai that their country hasn't become a nanny state ( yet) , and they can be transported however they want.
Thailand is still the land of the free ( well more or less...).

One year in a Cambo jail is the same as 20 years in a (northeren) euro jail.

Had mine for over 20 years , at first drove me mad ,but know ive got used to it, because I realised
my problem is nothing but a noise compared with other persons major problems .
To help there are plenty of google play apps just search " tinnitus " . just find the one that suites you .
But i am afraid you wont get rid of it ,only control your mind to except it .
Yep , mine started 25 years ago.... you learn to live with it. Thailand is great for it ....24/7 there is a noise from fans or aircon which masks it. I play my music loud so at least then I don't hear it.
Real tinnitus can't be cured.

Not illegal , but hard to find even in hospital pharmacies. Asprine and Malaria/dengue don't go well together , so they make it harder to self medicate.
I use the bayer 500 mg , 8 pills for 17 B . The 81mg ( why 81 mg ??) ones are for people who use them everyday for cardiovascular reasons ?

Last time , I flew Jetairways and had 30 kg of bagage allowance , so I brought back over 20 kg of food & snacks.
Spaggetti ! Why pay 3 x as much as back home ?
Real good & cheap potato chips & cornflakes. Mayonaise , jam , peanuts ( much better & cheaper back home) .
Of course CHEESE ( 3 or 4 different ones) !!! Choco, instant soups , curry, mostard.
Spare computerparts . Medicines . Razorblades.

Going north on Suk. from Pattaya Tai there is a 3 shop house wide place that sells batteries and does Air service. They charge me 400 baht when ever I need to refill which I do about 3 times a year. Its about 5 shophouses before the Honda bigwing shop.
Hey , wait a minute here...you need a refill 3 times a year ? Have you got a leak ?

And certainly not buy a new car here.

1000B/month on drinkwater ?? Tesco/bigc/nestle,....is about 5 to 6 B/l , 45 to 49 B for 6 x 1,5 l or the 6 l bottles = 30 B.
That's about 100 B/month for me. I use the automat water only for cooking = 20 B/month , total 120 B/month on water....
No I'm not scottish.

Yes ..but can they see through all the smog ?

These posts about expenses come up very often on TV.
Good for the guy living on 300 $, I do it on 300 euro with a car . There is just nothing here I want to spend my money on.

Let's see , we got the mobile registered in July , Airport immigration wants it , immigration wants it when I apply for my extension....They are going to waist a lot of time checking it ....because my phone is ALWAYS off !

You don't need your passport for 90 day reporting , just signed copies . Or nothing at all if you do it online.
If reporting in person the passport is required .
By mail = copy , online nothing.

And if you scare them , some panic and let go ....fall from a 3 meter high wall ...and just carry on like it didn't happen.

The EU completely f up Spain and other club med countries. It used to be much cheaper in Spain and lower taxes.
The spain of 20 - 30 years ago was much better to retire and buy a house . No reporting of a second home to your country.
With all those unemployed and a lot of african immigrants , crime is certainly worse than Thailand.
Even under the junta here , Thailand is a much free-er and more relaxed country. The "manjana" attitude is different from the "mai pen rai " in Thailand.
Then if you keep your money in a Spanish bank , the riscs of bail ins , is big. Just ask the Brits on Cyprus how much fun that is.
And Spain is becoming a fascist state :

Again , if Spain was like 20-30 years ago , I would not be in Thailand!
Thailands huge Plastic Bag consumption...
