    Some math for you...

According to the OP, 260,000 tons of plastic & Electronic waste were imported in the first 5 months of 2018 (January to end of May is 151 days)

The represents a daily influx of 260,000/151 = 1,722 tons

    A 40ft shipping container can hold 27.6 ton  ( Ref: http://www.dsv.com/sea-freight/sea-container-description/dry-container )

So the daily influx represents 1,722/27.6 = 62.4 containers.

This is a tiny number of containers from the thousands being moved on & off ships every day throughout Thailand.

Bear in mind, that a single container ship can transport thousands of containers.

    (Ref: https://data.worldbank.org/indicator/IS.SHP.GOOD.TU?year_high_desc=true)

In 2014 and 2015, the United Kingdom alone exported 500,000 tonnes of plastic waster to China and Hong Kong out of 800,000 tons of waste exported world wide.

Thus the United Kingdom alone exported 208,000 tons of waste to China & Hong Kong, who are no accepting waste (Ref: https://www.bbc.com/news/business-42456584_

Thus the figures quoted in the article posted by the OP are reasonable and within the the bounds of figures published by government sources.

    I still don't believe it .

  2. Don't buy/get a pet because YOU are lonely.

What are you going to do with it when your situation changes , like moving back home ? Is keeping a cat/dog is a hot appartment , while you're away ( and not keeping the A/C on) , is bad for the animal ?

Stick to gecko's and ants . They wander in for free , no need to feed .

MANY canning factories round by me in  Prachuap the home of Thai pineapples as its I believe the driest province and pineapples dont  like a lot of rain as they are  succulents

Driest province ? Maybe of mid/south Thailand.

Lots of pineapples in Chonburi , your find them in the supermarket named Chonburi sapparot , big green pineapples.

Here up north mostly smaller ones.

You only have to drive your car in the UK and very soon a camera will identify, using ANPR:

    - Is the vehicle stolen.

    - Has road tax been paid.

    - Is the driver insured.

    - Does the driver have a valid driving licence.

    - Is the driver banned.

plus more.  Police will be notified in their patrol cars to intercept.

And this has been the norm for many years.

Didn't some of us come here to escape the euro police states ?

To the RTP : don't do it , it's a bad idea , just like all the camera's you placed in the last couple of years.
