  1. As a vegetarian , well here in Thailand more a vegan , I'm far below the necessairy B12 level and my european brought  methylcobalamin is running out even at 1 x 1000 ugr each 5 days. B12 is as expensive here as it is back home , and it doesn't always say on the blister what type of B12 it is.

Don't do it, leave your money somewhere it works for you, direct deposit the income and give immigration a lie letter from you embassy. How do you think all the gringo derelicts without a pot to piss in stay here on retirement extensions. Look at them, it's not based on their 401K

Only works when you have an income.

The mandatory 800K does NOT need to be on a Thai Bank Account, but can be on a bank in your home country.

Well, at least that's how the Retirement Visa formalities in Belgium state it, but could be different for other countries.

No has to be here in Thailand.

Extentions only with a bank letter and a bank statement on the day you go for your extention.

Very easy to  register a Will in Thailand  to  cover  the  end  event.

Even if you have a will , the folks you leave it to will have to come to a country they've never been to and don't understand the language.

Yes I have been buying Sweet Potatoes too, but a bought a couple of

Kg from Makro and within 3 day they were all bad, just melted away,

they were the purple ones,i thought the kept a long time.

    regards worgeordie

Some-one on the forum here said that they were better than "our" potatoes . More vitamines/fibre and less water . The taste is not as good but 9B against 30B (at the market) , works for me .

The purple ones kept well for a week at room temp (27-28 C). White ones are ok too . The cheap onions are a bit watery , where ever I buy them , but can't complain when they cost < 20 B.

The only prices that rise are fruit , not vegetables. (except now for pineapples).

The price of potatoes and onions have been expensive for quiet

awhile,40 THB a Kg, the price of onions dropped to 16 THB Kg,

but have risen again to 20 THB Kg,while potatoes are still 40 THB Kg.

so the potato growers will be doing OK.

It says that prices of rice have risen by 50 %,so the farmers should be

happy ?,and not need subsidies ,but they say they still cannot make

a profit,so it must be the rice exporters that are getting the cream.

    regards Worgeordie

Not many potato growers in Thailand.

I switched to sweet potato , 9B/kg if bought in 10 kg bag. Sticky hands though.

    Garlic wet from >100B to 45 .

Regarding the "whatabout-ism" put forth by jb61 and BuaBS, which seems irrelevant to this current issue, there seems to be some conflation of illegal immigration and those seeking asylum.

And the Obama administration strove to keep families together until several courts interpreted and applied the Flores Settlement.

All that said, this is about the policy invoked and since revoked, by the Trump administration, meant to deter asylum seekers, and woefully put into action with little/no preparation.

Maybe start a new thread about people who are not currently President?

The current issue is that Trump backed down because of MSM pressure with fake news reports about crying children in cages.

Outrages responces like Henri Fonda pedofile threat , attacking the first lady ,....

If they are refugees from other south and mid american countries , they should have asked asylum in mexico.

Solution to this mess is to bus them all back to mexico. Refugees (they aren't really) and economic migrants along with illegals.

And for the poster who said it would take too much manpower to garde the border/wall : camera's , drones , remote controled deterence . With the enormous MIC/army and all their electronic surveilance , they can't garde a border ?

Trump is not against putting children in cages, he’s only backing down because of the negative publicity.

I call bullshit in claiming Clinton’s policies, this didn’t happen until Trump took office.

Trump’s a horrible, vile person who will do as much evil as he can until he’s called out and forced to stop.

Its like Laura Ingram only apologizing after he advertisers start pulling out.

She didn’t change her mind, she was just effected negatively by it and forced to change for financial reasons.

Trump wouldn’t be continuing if it wasn’t for the outrage.

What did you say about Clinton ?

DTAC assures it’s 430,000 mobile phone users that their services won’t be disrupted once it’s concession on the 1800 MHz and 850 MHz spectrums expire on September 15.

Only when its  430,000 users on the 2G network transfer to other two 3G and 4G networks on the 2100 MHz spectrum to maintain their services.

    So if your phone doesn't do 3G , it's a big disruption .

With immigration & financial crises around the EU (Italy especially), I wouldn't guarantee that either the EU or Euro-zone will stay intact in the longer term.

There's still a big potential crisis around Deutsche Bank in Germany and banks in Italy, we're talking ten's of trillions of $$ in derivatives & exotic (e-toxic) financial instruments (Weapons of Economic Mass Destruction), also very contagious in the globalized economy.

In the medium term, the EU-topian super-state dream could turn into a dystopian nightmare The UK's already heading for the emergency exit.

They've been saying that for years , but the EU just won't die.

We can only hope that Italy will light the fuse , or something big like DB fails .
