  1. And how would you know that, please pray tell. You don't know anything about me. Who I am, where I come from, or what I have accomplished.... While the reply was made in jest, it's not necessarily untrue. Th thing I know for sure is that Thaksin is not a member.... he would not qualify.
  2. That is my experience too. 2 or 3 years ago, when I was still on married extension, I was sent back for some additional stupid requirement (probably extra photos). I said it's a 2.5 hour drive, but she said that the bank letter was valid for 7 days. This is HH office.
  3. Yes, indeed. I extended just a month ago. I updated the Fixed Account passbook on the day of application. The bank code was B/F. I was a bit worried, since I got a new passport this year, so the bank insisted to give me a new book when I asked for the statement letter. But it was all accepted by the IO, no questions asked. In and out in 15 minutes (had an appointment). However, the immigration charged me 500 baht for visa transfer to the new passport when I did it a month prior to the extension. No receipt, supposed to be FOC.
  4. No, they removed one brain cell, now he's only one left.....
  5. I wouldn't know, I'm not a Hindu. Some Hindu friends were telling me this story, and were convinced that it was true.
  6. I suppose not much changes over the years. Apparently, Taj Mahal (Islamic tomb, for the lack of better denomination), is build on top of an ancient Hindu temple, or so the Hindus say.
  7. And imagine that Arabs and Jews were living quite peacefully in that area for centuries. And then the Crusaders came and screw it all up. All because some stupid religion.
  8. Not any more... 20+ years ago though.... AAAH, good old times....
  9. I was brief in my history lesson. There're more detailed accounts of the post war events in the Middle East available for those who are interested. This is a map of the Palestine partitioning from 1947. As a Palestinian, would you really accept that? Interestingly, it was created by the Ad Hoc Committee on the Palestinian Question. Where there any Palestinians present on the Committee? And we all know that there is very little of that "Arab State" land left.
  10. I think you should brush up on your history. In the 1930's the area was under the British Mandate (1920–1948), the whole region, then and before, was known as 'Palestine'. After the WW2, the Allied powers decided to partition the area, and after the Independence (1948), The State of Israel was created. So blame it all on the colonial powers that won WW2. Wrecking havoc, and rewriting borders suitable to their needs . The same happened with Kuwait, and, of course, the Pattani Kingdom, given to Thailand by the British.
  11. You can always update your fixed account bankbook. It just shows as "Bring Forward" transaction. I always updated the book on the day I went for extension. They never asked me to deposit or withdraw. Maybe the rule is different for fixed account. IO seems to prefer fixed account to the standard deposit.
  12. Shouldn't be that difficult. Just ask Chuwit. He knows everybody who is anybody in this business. And I'm sure he would spill a few names in confidence. But this will, of course, never happen.... time to wake up!
  13. Oh what a chicken! Full HazMat suit and buckets of water!!!
  14. Don't think that will help. What they really need is a serious detox session from the substances they're taking.
  15. Like it's been said above, all the major shops like Banana IT, JIB and others have a presence on Lazada. But why would you want to go through that extra layer when you can order directly from them. Any claims would have to go through Lazada, and that can be a real pain in the neck. I should know, been there. Last PC item I ordered was a motherboard from JIB. 2 hours after they received the payment, I got an email with a video of the item being packed. To my surprise, it arrived the next day. And I don't live in BKK. Likewise, had a warranty claim with JIB once. Send the item back, received the replacement within a week, no questions asked. It's just not worth the saving of a 100 baht or so to buy from an unknown seller. But absolutely the best in terms of support is invadeit.co.th Mind you, slightly more expensive than others, but well worth it if you run into problems.
  16. Aren't you supposed to serve at least one third of your sentence before clemency can be granted? Or will the time as the high flier in Dubai be counted as that? Done deal, but we knew that already. He would not have come back otherwise. Will he re-marry now too that the problems are resolved.
  17. Are you shure? Thought he would be better in "Angry Birds".
  18. Well, you can always get Som Tam for 30 or so baht down any street. That's "hot" food, right?
  19. I used to quite enjoy Landmark buffet. Food selection was always quite good, both Thai and Western. Less than 2K but no open bar.
  20. I'm sure they would try, but the shares issue was just such an easy thing to pin on him.
  21. He knew what happened to Tanathorn and should have got rid of the shares. Signed them over to his mother, just to mitigate that problematic issue.
  22. I hate to say this, but it's his own fault. He knew what happened to his predecessor, and is educated and smart enough to know that he needed to be squeaky clean before stating his election pledges.
  23. What will they think of next... Vegetarian corridor? Kosher corridor?
