  1. I definitely have to try this place! Restaurants with troublesome rude service are a source of fascination to me. Also, I enjoy the antics of surly lesbians, who could ask for more? I wonder what it takes to get banned from that place?

walk out without paying, let me know when you go i will pick up the bill after the fun ends.
  2. iran should have nukes, whats good for the goose is good for the gander.

its been said before only one country has used them in war,and invades others, and now the race is on for the pipeline through iran to russia, and not afganistan.

im sure you will get your war,in the cry for democracy

democracy when two wolves and a sheep sit down at the table and decide whats for dinner.

    peace for 2012

  3. It is clear that you do not need much of a brain or must graduate with Chulalongkorn to write an article like this. For the Nation's information. The European Union is criticized for not printing money. All bourse people in London and New York demand that the ECB print money.

The Bank of England and the FED are printing money since 1998. They call it Quantative Easing or use similar terms.

Printing money does make the currency cheaper. That is good for economic growth ask the Chinese how they keep their currency low, they do it by pegging it to the dollar. Given the fact that the markets will sons start looking at the mess in the UK and the US which is ten times worse than in the EU. The Thai currency would not feel the slightest pain.

If the NAtion has a ashore to settle it might be useful to use a journalist with real knowledge on the subject. in the meantime they could maybe focus on article 112.

With your amazing understanding of finance it's a real shame the PTP haven't swept you up.

    What do you disagree with?

Quantitative easing refers to the near zero interest rates set by the national banks to promote corporate and personal lending in a bid to promote growth. It's not printing money.

The situation in the UK and the US is not "10 times worse" under any criteria - that's just plain guff.

its selling debt,in the form of bonds

    your view on everything
  5. What worries me is that so many farongs can take this seriously.

Yes it was a tragic thing but that is part of the danger in being in a combat zone.

As has been pointed out he was an experienced corespondent he was not a dummy he knew the danger.

His being shot was no more serious than the civilians and army personnel being shot.\

They were all in a combat zone and unless they were really stupid they had to know the danger.

Well being a red shirt there is a high possibility that they did not know it was dangerous.

let me guess, the only thing you read is the Nation right ?

you wasnt in thailand or something ? you cant talk thai either ? why not simply be silent on a theme where you have such a big hole of information got filled with missinformations ?

all was peacefull till the day they force abisith to step down and people behind him ordered him to not step down and instead gave the order of start shooting.........buddy how about u start use you brain instead of simply replay what you read daily in a newspaper has the worth of toilet paper ?

    ...........

    explain me following oke ?

there is 30 thousend soldiers in bangkok, fairytails about black shirt people are on the red side, close to 2000 people injured.may you explain me why we never saw any of this war weapon armed black shirt laying in a bath of blood ?

    a) was there no black shirts and its all a fairytail to back up the use of live ammunition to secure the democrat goermant

    B) is the army full of douchbags cannot use guns, or all they all blind

then ask urselve why there was a declared combat zone ............and who had a pluss from that zone, or why it was created.

because of this dangerous black shirts noone ever found or saw in real ?

if you read the bibel you also belive god exist right ?

gosh start use ur brain men, im sure u have one so use it and stop coppy and past shit from others here in TV or the nation :)

go look on youtube plenty of live action with the blackshirts firing, and a few redshirts getting shot from behind, and were you not blind to see who got shot at first.belive what you want dont wash with me

  6. Good riddance to these white garbage. What the bloody Thai Immigration and Police needs to do is to be more restrictive in the visas and more intense screening esp to people from Britain, America and Australia and also other European Countries as Thailand and also other parts of Asia are attracting the garbage from these countries.

White Garbage....I'd put that down as a racist comment....you need to wash your mouth out with soap my Raghead friend...

White garbage or white trash is a term coined by other whites, so can it be racist?

In the 90s in HK, other white expats referred to the unsavoury Brits who turned up there as FILTH (Failed in London, Trying HK).

    I think it's a class thing.

funny but true, alot of us guys went over there and made alot of dosh in a short space of time working for the banks

there will allways be a market for this sort of business, shame they got caught and the girls will have to find new jobs

  7. I suspect that if he were any more of a mug, he would have a handle in the middle of his back.

    Read this soft-soap interview with a touch of cynicism and his image becomes clearer;

His business folds due to the asian economic crisis - of course that can't be because of his failure to adapt, it must be the government's fault.

He is inspired by Thaksin, despite all the evidence that the man is corrupt - I wonder what he aspires to.

Doesn't want to be anybody's enemy, but gets sucked into the red shirt mess.

Becomes a "people's politician" and is rejected. No worries, get on the party list.

Is glad he joined the "fight for democracy" - probably will never see the light and realise he was used to get thaksin's cronies back into power.

Thinks Thaksin should be allowed to return because he has a lot to offer - whereas Thaksin wants to return because there is still a lot to take.

How about an interview with some REAL questions, like is corruption acceptable, why were armed militants allowed to mix with protesters, was it necessary to burn BKK ?

    you guys are so funny.

The Drivel showers roses over the Dems and you people don't say squat, but if it is a piece about red shirt, suddenly you know how to "read critically".

maybe you should remember : in the financial crisis of the 90s a lot of companies went under - and it was primarily due to imposed conditions from the IMF which (and yeah, it's documented) made the situation worse. The Dem government in the 90s fell in due to extraordinary corruption. This guy runs out of the democratic strong-hold, how many PTP were elected in the south? But you imply he is a failure. He took a stand against a military coup which in his mind is a fight for democracy, but clearly not in your mind. Yay for TVF democracy. Sure he feels that Thaskin should come back - and other people feel that he shouldn't - but his right to an opinion is called "being used" by you. And let's just forget that it was the PAD who were the first "armed-militants" or that the protests last year were peaceful for over a month before the violence started. Let's forget that the PM Abhisit rejected the request to hold elections (which is what had to happen in the end anyway), and that 90+ people are now dead because of it. And let's forget that the government was the side doing the killing on a 10-1 scale - why was that ?? Why did they use a sniper to kill an ex-military man while he was giving an interview? Why did the government authorize, EVER, the use of lethal force against the protesters? And *someone* did torch Central World (do you know how hard it is to set a building like that on fire?) - anyway, last time I was in BKK Central World was looking just fine, but 91 people are still dead - ohhhh, poor burning Bangkok, tears of a clown...

    Cheers, Tom

classic tom cant see the wood for the trees

they never fired the rpg,s or stormed the hospital either, and your insight into seh dang way out of line.

  8. I am aware of some individuals buying the cheapest one-way ticket they can find, usually Air Asia. They go through immigration and loiter in the airport for several hours, coffee, internet, read a book, and never leave BKK. After sufficient time and coinciding with the arrival of an aircraft from the country they had a one-way ticket to, they proceed back through immigration and receive the 30 day airport visa on arrival. Thus avoiding the visa-run debacle and the 15 visa on arrival received at land entry immigration points.

This became very popular when the visa on arrival was changed to 15 days for overland travel. This may be a direct response to this activity.

not doable you cannot get from departure/and walk in arrival and go back through customs, sometimes people are flagged and checked that they are picking up the correct baggage from said flight, also swapping of passports which is what alot of drug dealers used to do before things got changed.

james bond told me so it must be true,he is under cover in pattaya so cant name the bar we where in

  9. just to let you know guys,a friendly guesthouse owner is giving him free room and he now has 3000 baht to eat and drink, until monday when he catches his flight on monday family have wired the money over western union and he was on a nonb so know over stay he would have had to do visa run 11.9.11

wow where can i get one of those snacks from

  11. The decision was made some time ago. I believe that thet the Abhisit government was aware of the position and held off on making the decision public. Now Mr. Abhisit gasps in surprise. Now the Democrats can create an issue out of decision that was reached when they were in power.

gk even you know its insider trading, which ever way you look at it.but this is thailand not the west.

  12. I would have thought that a farang trying to compete with the Thais running in the jet ski business is not going to get very far.

24 hours, stabbed, shot and jet skis and house burned to the ground.

then the pattaya mail DEPRESSED FRANG KILLS HIMSELF AND BURNS DOWN HOUSE

  13. More funds for Brits in trouble abroad ! I wouldn't give those lovesick gullible Pom anything or atleast red flag their passport on returning home to the UK. Charge them interest on any rescue funds received as well.
