to name and shame them it was the "dental cafe" near view talay, they advertise themselves as cosmetic dentists

my friend had severe toothache and attended the named dentist, without x-raying they extracted the tooth opting not to fill the cavity....cosmetic?? 555

turns out there was an absess above the tooth that was causing the pain, instead of treating with antibiotics and then filling the tooth they extracted...the following day it looked like my pal had been hit with a bat

avoid this place like the plague!!

Sounds like you've done it pretty much! There isn't too much to do in Chiang Mai, it's really a handy place to go into the hills to see the tribes, or for trips to other countries. Try the girlie bars for entertainment and DON'T eat at any food stalls on the embankment! BTDTGTR.

Go to the museum on the superhighway. Lovely. Also Wat Jed Lot next to it.

Go beyong Wat Doi Suthep if you like nature.

The biggest place in Thailand is Panthip Plaza in Bangkok.

A bit nearer to Pattaya is Computer Plaza in Si Racha.

There is a new huge place opening a month ago!! but not finished in Pattaya.

as with anywhere in the world you will get a guarantee from the shop.

Check a few places, easy in Panthip and make a pyrchase based on YOUR needs.

Should be cheaper here too.

hum, the plot thickens. the rate i got was at Wells Fargo, so i called Bank of America thinking i could have got a better deal there and they quoted my 39.5:1!

my guess is that the American bank change the money to Baht over there and wire that?

Insist they wire US $ and have it changed here.

I have experienced no problems with AIS' GPRS service so far, but I do not use it 24 hours per day to connect to the Internet. I do have it set up to check my email every 15 minutes, and that works brilliantly. Those four or five times I have used it to connect my laptop, the service is alright but a bit slow compared to dialup. Still ok though if you are mainly using the internet for email and info searching. I maintain that if you use it for down/uploading music, pics and movies, you should consider using satellite instead.
