How damn disgusting, not only 1 teacher at 1 school but many teachers at many Sarasas schools.

Best thing that could happen is close every Sarasas school now.

Unfortunately, this is only the tip of the iceberg. If you were to close every school in the country where this kind of thing happens it would leave a gaping hole in the educational system , it is that commonplace. It gets worse as the children get older, especially for girls, who might have to deal with sexual abuse.

Favorite with Thais on account of price. Avoid Thai food especially anything deep fried like patango etc.

why should i tip people for just going their job ?!

    people are weird !

Seriously , its an American thing. If you don't leave a service tip in America it's tantamount to not paying your bill.

In the rest of the world you leave a tip for exceptional service or just your lose change.

My American friend would leave a tip in a mall food court if he could, its just so ingrained.

That happened to me many times as well. In Switzerland even more then here. Its like a curse. As for the cake I unclearly recall to have indeed spotted some at Big C Extra Pattaya Klang. How about baking one yourself ? I think should not be too difficult to do.

Yes. I already bake my own banana

cakes way better than I can buy ( because I ignore the expense and mix with plenty of walnuts ) and this thread has given me the idea to try carrot cake. Might even go the whole hog and put some icing on top.

id  say that was normal, but i am a fussy bstard and my reasoning is well youre  gonna  be looking at it for the next 5-6-7-8- years and it would nag at me if it  looked  <deleted>............its  lessening slightly with age but not enough to "normal"  people.

Well, anything visible to the eye always gets my best effort but with radiators I just paper down behind about 6 inches and hope visitors don't make a bee line for them to stare behind and pass judgement. Until now this shortcut has been known only to me and my maker but I wanted to get it off my chest before I die , say a few hail  Mary's and sleep easy.

    common misconception,

You are probably right. Easy enough for a sensible person with a little experience but yes.....there are legions of bodgers out there. I've always done my own painting and found it easy as my father taught me and he was an absolute perfectionist. The sort of person who would take a radiator of the wall so that he could paper and paint behind it before putting it back.

My ex Filipino girlfriend wanted me to paint her bedroom door. I explained it would need a good rubbing down, a little filler. a little more rubbing down then undercoat and 2 coats of paint. Sorry, no time love.

She would not accept this , bought a tin of gloss and a 1 inch paint brush and got stuck in for all of 5 minutes before I turned up tired from work. Both her hands were covered in paint, there were drips on the floor and she was holding the brush like one of Caesars assassins , dagger fashion.  Needless to say, I had to do it myself to have ' benefits ' restored.  And she was a ward sister with a university degree !

Like in any language:   Knowing vocabulary is one thing.  Being able to put the words together in

a way that people want to listen to you is completely different.

I agree with this. I have friends who know lots of words and the correct tone but when they try to speak they get tongue twisted.

ROTFLMAO (rolling on the floor laughing my A** off) following a Facebook post.

When Orwell wrote 1984 he could not have imagined that not only would the English language be cut down to words of fewer syllables but that it would also end up as a lot of

    pathetic abbreviations.

We already have to suffer the adjective of universal approval

' awesome ' and now this dreadful assassination of the English language.

We are regressing back to cavemen.

I have a polygreen at home, dunno where it came from, my wife got it.

What I discovered was that whenever I went to hospital, and taking blood pressure is mandatory as soon as you enter it seems, I always found the hospital readings were always significantly higher than my at home ones.

I also found this true at the dentist where they will not treat you if your systolic reading is over 150. The reason for this is simply if the treatment causes you to bleed then a very high blood pressure will make it more difficult to stop the bleeding.

Go walk around and relax for ten minutes then come back.

Alternatively, relax and sit somewhere quiet and practice deep full breathing for 5 minutes before having your blood pressure measured.
