There is no rule that you non-o visa still has to be valid to apply for a 60 day extension.
After you are in the country your visas expiration date means nothing.
I believe this is correct. You know this , I know this. We all know this . But do all off them know this.

Odd your 60 day start date.
I went to CM immigration last Friday for my 60 day, starts 27 Sept ...... ends 26 Nov.
Phuket immigration .............. should be renamed to end with a 'you'.
Mine says up to 27th November. I guess that extra day is inclusive.
Will be applying for 1 year extn in early November.

Wherever you have applied they seem to be not up to date with the official rule that all extensions start from November 27th.
I applied for my 60 day extension 11th September but they put the start date at 27th September.
I double checked that they would do this before handing them my passport.

Currently in immigration office, they’re refusing 60 day extension because my 90 day permission of stay has expired, asking them to contact Chang Wattana for advice..... bloody hell
My permission to stay had also expired because the borders were closed and I could not reactivate my Non O multi. My last border stamp had expired in June. Nonetheless my local immigration gave me the 60 day extension to visit wife ( Petchabun ). However, if your actual visa has expired as opposed to your last entry stamp then others have reported the problem that immigration would not give them an extension because their Non O visa was past its sell bt date.
What the actual official rule is on this I don't know but I would phone immigrations help line number in Bangkok and ask. They are very helpful but it might be extremely difficult to get through at this late stage.

I'm trying to relax but I had to buy a new string trimmer to cut the lawn, our annual MooBaan maintenance fee is due end of month, GF needed some help with car insurance, and oh yeah had to postpone my long planned guitar purchase due to all of above...sabai sabai...NOT
I put off my Telecaster copy purchase for months but got it in the end at the beginning of Lockdown.
There are some really fantastic copies out there at incredibly cheap prices. Paid only 2700 baht for mine and wasn't expecting much. When it arrived it way exceeded my expectations. Great quality for the price if you don't mind doing your own set up.
As for strimmers. I bought an electric one a few years ago and it just will not die despite the hard work I put it to. I don't buy the manufactures refils any more as too expensive. You can buy a strimmer spool a lot bigger for around 30 baht you like any thickness you like. I use very thick for weedy areas and thin for the lawn.

"UbonJoe's list should include; use BLUE ink on all forms."
Blu ink is old news at almost every immigration office when talking about signing forms. Several offices allows filled in and printed forms from a computer. But with the signature in blu ink.
Used black on mine ? No complaints.

Chinese ??? Accountable ???
Good luck with that. Wishful thinking.
Indians are boycotting Chinese goods. About all anyone can do.

Which province please ?
Up country. I wont shout it from the roof tops because I don't want to potentially land them in trouble. But I have a friend using a different up country office who has had the same experience.
Seems to be fairly common.

I did my 60 day extension 2 weeks ago and I had the receipt with the passport but it fell out on the IO desk and she nodded her head as she stapled it into my passport.
Been doing border hops for 20 years. Never filed a TM 30 in all that time and nothing ever said about it.
Just got my 60 day extension from my local immigration and nothing said about it there either.
Strange how all over Thailand , dealing with an immigration office theoretically obliged to follow the official line, people have different experiences.
Maybe not so strange. Those likely to be affected by a law , swat up on it . So it happens that we are sometimes better informed and up to date than with the officials we have to deal with.

Meanwhile , in other news there has been much interest in attracting tourists to Thailand with long term visas.
Those arriving will have to arrive on a chartered flight having filled in lots of paperwork and do 14 days in quarantine.
Medical experts have expressed concern that this might be risky.
Nonetheless, the covid free tourists still remaining in the country who have been unable to extend their visas will be criminalized , arrested and deported. It is hoped they will hold no grudge and continue to be great ambassadors for Thailand.
Those who say these criminals should have been allowed to apply and pay for the new visa in country have not understood the depth of disdain held for ' tourists ' by a certain segment of the ex pat community and how various government departments work against and contradict each other as a matter of normality.

'Domesticated' wild animals, raised in zoos die in the wild.
No they don't if properly introduced to their proper habitat. You don't just boot them out of the back of a truck in the middle of nowhere.
Plenty of documentaries about animals being released into the wild.
However , my point was that wild animals should not be taken from their natural habitat or bred in captivity in the first place just for humans to gawk at.

Good luck to the protesters who have braved the rain. Really hope they can achieve something.
Imagine how many more might have been there had it not been for the weather disrupting travel.

Friday night in lower Petchabun...... very heavy rain all night , 8 hour deluge.
Woke up to find local roads a bit flooded plus the large 100 x 50 meter pond that was empty Thursday now full to a depth of 15 meters with banks broken and washed away. Great for local farmers who thought they were facing a drought.

The people of Phuket supported the PDRC and Suthep ?? They closed Phuket airport to support the overthrow of an elected government ?
This is fake news surely ? In fact they must in reality be very happy that they got the government they wished for.
Just wait until they see those Chinese submarines sailing around their little island. Truly they will say Prayuth has returned happiness to them in full.

Along the lines of ' yea but Thaksin ...'
They will never admit that what Thailand has now is worse than what it had under Thaksin. To admit this would be to admit they were gullible fools assuming that any change must always be for the better.
To admit you were wrong is more than some fragile brains can stand.

So, where do the Japanese cartoons and cross legged woman come into it ?
Do the cartoons represent the opposing parties and is the cross legged woman an arbiter of sorts ?
Very confusing report , even by the Nations standards ?
