Still no point in doing anything until the week before.
If there's another extension (2 weeks) my 400k will have been in the bank long enough for me to apply for a year.
If it ends on the 26th, I can only apply for 60 days.
But if you apply for your 60 days before the 26th , then during that time your 400,000 would have seasoned the 2 months and you can then apply for a 1 year extension later.
That approach was confirmed when I visited my local immigration.

Glad they have made this announcement. Hope it has finally filtered down to every immigration office that this is the correct official line and they will stop saying the extension begins on day of application.

No. Just let one fly yourself then watch out for projectiles heading in your direction.

What about a past, indirect, experience? ????
I cannot vouch for the bravado tales of long lost acquaintances.
Personal experiences from 38 years ago ...... good reading. Way better than shades of grey.

Many things here are now more expensive than in the UK, and many other countries.
Even a night of debauchery is getting expensive. Not that I have recent direct experience.

The time to ponder this is before giving a review that might be libellous.
However, if you are concerned you could see a doctor and have your fingernails removed under anaesthetic

I have heard of a device that works a lot better but is more expensive. It is the size of a small lightweight box that you attach to their collar. When the dog barks the box emits a smell that the dogs really do not like but humans don't notice.
The dog very quickly understands that any barking will immediately result in a nasty stink he cant escape from.
Once the dog is trained the device can be removed. If they start up again the device goes back on.
Don't know where they are sold though

Cannabis ? Loves the sun . Prune it at 2 feet and it will bush out nicely.
Flowers are very pleasant, especially when dried.
Caveat. You need high walls around your property to discourage unwanted attention.

Starve the lizards mate , this has been the situation since March. The postal system is crook because of covid but she'll be right sometime next year. Meanwhile, if you want to send anything to your cobbers or relos , DHL or TNT might be worth checking out.

Basically, when your go anywhere super macho pickup cuts out in the middle of a stream the towing company will know where it is because there will be a little bit of plastic sticking out above the stream to show where your engine has stalled.
Looks a bit gay though. Like Dick Emery saying " oh you are awful..."

That's because the IB have nothing to do with Visas issued by Thai Embassies/Consulates, which come under the jurisdiction of the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Certain Embassies don't offer the Non Imm O ME anymore, some not even the 90 day Non O for retirement.
Thanks for the information.
I see I have completely misunderstood things. I always assumed that when I entered the country by land or air I was dealing with immigration officers who would know the rules and regulations.
Obviously, if they were all from the ministry of foreign affairs it perfectly explains why not once in 20 years was it ever pointed out to me and the multitude of others that I was doing something wrong or illegal. Immigration officers would clearly have done this. Over the course of those decades immigration and the MOFA would have noticed things were not dove tailing and brought things into agreement.
Thanks again for the heads up. Its the great thing about this forum that we have lots of members to correct us when we get things wrong.

"......just a view".
Only in your mind.
It does happen to be the view of IB also as evidenced by the legitimate renewals of extensions of stay year on year. Never in god-knows-how-many decades of the facility being available has it ever been suggested by the IB that continuous extensions were anything but official or that at some stage it would be determined that an applicant had too many.
Well I agree with you.
But , never in god-knows-how-many decades of the facility being available has it ever been suggested by the IB that continuous Non Immigrant multis were anything but official or that at some stage would be terminated.
By all means, get a 1 year extension. Nothing wrong with that, But equally , nothing wrong with multiple entry visas either. If there were, immigration would have stopped issuing them years ago.

Let's clarify something here. Being on a Non-immi O multi before they stopped and now single, leaving the country every 90days or getting an extension and then leaving is completely and utterly within the law and uses of this type of visa. I only thing that can be problematic is this very situation. How in the hell can anyone and did anyone foresee this situation???!!
Totally correct and has been discussed ad infinitum on Thai Visa in many threads.

Not animosity toward visa runners. Just no sympathy. And I am not sure why I should have any for someone who doesn't have the means to live the life he desires.
Why do you suppose they don't have the means to live the life they desire ?
Some visa runners do so because they can't make the financials , that is true, but by no means all.
I have the means to apply for a retirement visa but I certainly do not intend to tie up 800,000 baht in a low interest Thai bank account.

What he said is factual, not just "his view". He doesn't need to show any "government links" to support that statement.
So...just your view as well.
Unless you work in immigration and can support your view with written evidence it will remain ......just a view.

Don’t leave it to the last minute! Thai Immigration reminds foreigners ahead of amnesty deadline

I can't help thinking the simplest solution to deal with people on Non O multis would be to allow people to travel to a border immigration post , stamp them out, then get them to cross the road and stamp them back in. Sorted. No necessity to physically leave the country.
This would also help the tourism sector a bit because people would likely travel around and use a local hotel for a night. Unless of course they live very close to a border checkpoint.
