Thanks for the offer, but that is too soon. I need to go on the 27th. Have a safe drive

Does anyone know how much it will cost to get someone to drive me to Suvarnabhumi? Want to go directly from Koh Phangan if possible, but could do it from Don Sak as well. Was thinking about hiring a car and driving myself, but think it may be best to have a driver.
Also, anyone know someone that does this? I need to be able to have my dog in the car.
Cheers.

The B man is no longer there and his replacement is not so nice. He denied me my extension of stay based on marriage (also to a Thai man) a couple of months ago. Told me to leave the country and get a new visa. He didn't even look at our paperwork. Just looked at my passport and my work permit and that was it. Told me I had to go to Malaysia.

You should still have the wound looked at. I was bitten by a dog 2 weeks ago. The wound got very infected and I was put on antibiotics. Now it turns out the fang tore my fascia and tendon, so having surgery. My advice is to have it looked at and cleaned ASAP and have them put her on antibiotics just to be sure that it does not get infected.

Yup. I took it last week

Pick up a Phangan Info guide book and you will find plenty of things to do.

He is there and I assume he is okay. I know someone that just picked up their boat from him a few days ago. Perhaps he has changed his number?

There is a place called VJ Travel on the Bangkok Bank Road heading towards the Masons Arms that is honest. It's around a 10 minute walk from the pier. Or you could go on a motorbike taxi.

Stick with the Andaman islands, as the east coast will still be having the monsoon season. Lanta may be a good option and is easy to get to from Krabi.

One of my dogs has cancer and his vet has no problem putting him down and will do so whenever I say the word. My advice is to find another vet.
-
If you're coming from Krabi you can rent one at one of the car hire places (Budget, Avis, etc), pick it up at Surat Thani airport and drive it over.

Nope. Always multiple entry non-imm B. I don't qualify for an extension of stay so have never had one.

I have been asked 3 times in the past 8 years. Twice at land borders, once at Swampy. Luckily I had it with me in all 3 cases.

Nathon Hospital is the best place on Samui. If there are complications during birth I know that the others will send you by ambulance there. There is a clinic near the hospital that does the pre-checkups and stuff and then does the delivery in Nathon Hospital. http://www.samuiobstetrics.com/EN/

I tried to get my non-imm B visa transferred into my new passport at Swampy and they told me I had to just bring both passports next time I left the country.

Thanks for your replies. That is what I thought; that we have to go together. I was just hoping that there was a different way around it.
-
Sorry, maybe I should rephrase my question. We live in different provinces so I am wondering if we can do it without going to the amphur together. Meaning I do it here and he does it in his local amphur. I want to avoid having to see him if possible.
-
Does anyone know if this is possible? Or do we need to go together to the same amphur to get a divorce?

You can get a WP as a General Manager.

You need to show proof that you paid your yearly taxes and your staff's social security to be able to renew your work permit.

Looks like I may have do do my visa bounce in April then and perhaps not go anywhere for holidays until after I get a new passport. Which means no holidays basically, as I won't get my passport back until, well, long after my holidays. Don't want to risk getting stuck somewhere or being on overstay.
Thanks for your help everyone.

Thanks ubonjoe. That is exactly what I wanted to know.
And I have, but won't be there long enough and will have to pay quite a bit to get it back quickly. Plus, it doesn't expire until October so I want to hold off as long as I can.

I am planning on going back to my home country, so the 6 month validity is not an issue. What I am wondering about is when I come back into Thailand. Has anyone ever entered the country with a multiple entry non-immigrant visa and less than 6 months on their passport?

Has anyone had problems entering the country with less than 6 months on their passport but a multiple entry non-immigrant B visa and WP? I am thinking about going away in May and when I return I will only have around 5 months (or a bit less) left on my passport. It takes around 20 days to get a new passport and there is just not enough time, as I won't be able to get to Bangkok to renew until at least the end of April.
My next 90-day visa run is also not within the 6-month period.
If I don't go away I will do my border run in April, before the 6 months is up. But that also means no holiday in May

I ended up hiring a Honda Brio from Budget. Petrol is very cheap for this car. The lowest price I got from a tour agent was 12,000.
