Presuming you have a Multiple Entry Non Immigrant 'B' Visa; then you will get a new 90 day entry providing you enter Thailand before the 'Enter Before' date on your visa, you will never be asked to show a Work Permit making a border entry.
It is not an extension.
This is not 100% true. I have on 2 occasions been asked to see my wp on a 90-day border run with a multple entry Non-imm B visa. Yes, this is rare and in the 7 years I have had the WP I have only been asked twice, but it can happen.
I have been told that they are now being more strict, as many people are getting a WP to get this visa and then handing the WP back in to avoid paying taxes and be able to stay in the country for 15 months.

As others mentioned, it depends on where you are located. Of course areas like Haad Rin are usually busiest during the FMP, while in the north it is a whole different story. The northern beaches are not usually affected by the FMP. Still, every where on the island there are busy and slow months. mid-Jan to Songkran is busy and then it dies down until July. mid-September to mid-December it goes quiet again.
Hope that helps

You must get a re-entry permit or your visa will become invalid.

Okay... I'm the recipient of a Mult entry non-Im type "B" visa. < Was expecting a type "O" visa as I'll be doing voluteer work.
Can anyone confirm changes on the visa type required as of Dec 2013 for volunteers?
Was told that all volunteers are now required to get a type "B" visa.
This makes sense, as the non-imm B is the right visa to get if you are working and we have established that volunteers need a work permit.
I believe that the type O is now more difficult to obtain and is basically the one you get for being married to a Thai or having a child that is half Thai. But don't quote me on that

If you are working you should be able to get a non-immigrant B. That is if you have a work permit.

Thanks for your concern everyone. She was a street dog that was in the process of being adopted and sent to Switzerland for a better life. I hope that she is found soon.

King at Zealot Tattoo in Chewand Noi (ring road) is really good and a great artist as well. He went to a famous art school in BKK.

You can get an extension based on marriage with a non-imm B visa. The visa and WP are connected to your work but the extension is not, therefore if you leave your job you do not lose your extension of stay.
As far as residency is concerned, I was told that even with this as a foreigner you still need a WP to work. Not sure if it is true or not but this is what I was told when I was looking into it.

You should also be aware that if you do not show that you have paid taxes each month and filed a year-end tax return you will not be able to renew your WP.

There is a guy that rents them for 2,000 per month. You can email him at <email edited out>

I always use the one in Bantai. My dog is a good judge of character and has been known to grown and snap at 'bad' vets and will sometimes not even enter a clinic. BUT she likes the vet in Bantai and happily goes in when ever I need to bring her.

Just spoke to Samui immigration. They said that I can not do it in Surat Thani Airport and must go to them to get the re-entry permit.

There must be an immigration office at the airport as I am flying on an international flight....Think I may call Samui immigration and ask them. I will let everyone know what I find out.

Anyone know if it is possible to get one at Surat Thani airport or must I go to immigration in Samui?

I wouldn't wait for her to go into heat first, unless you want her to get raped and want lots of additional puppies. Generally, it is 5-6 months old.

it would be good to get the NON B Business visa without having to go all the way without the work permit etc....but this is probably not possible???
Not possible. Actually, on a couple of occasions while doing my 90-day border run the immigration officer has asked to see my work permit to ensure that I in fact have one. If I didn't no doubt I would have been refused entry on a valid visa.
Many people go through the process of getting a Non Imm-B and WP and then later hand it the WP but keep the multiple entry B visa. They are now starting to crack down on this.

Anyone know of a trustworthy place close to the Maenam Lomprayah pier where I can hire a motorbike without handing in my passport? I usually use a guy in Nathon, but this time I am coming in on a later ferry.
Thanks

Although there are set rules as to reporting early each immigration office also has their own. I was told by my local immigration office up to 7 days before but not after.

Looked to me as if the main entrance area is still incomplete. So A KFC could still be in the plans. They were selling Dunkin Donut type donuts but it was part of the bakery.
I too am now a fan of Big C. I went by chance and fund that many things that Tesco no longer carries can be had at Big C. On the flip side, Tesco has a better frozen foods section.

If your spouse has a WP than you can get a non-immigrant o visa linked to her visa and WP.

I know someone that was fined and deported and the company that she worked for was fined 50,000 baht.

So I did end up checking this flower shop that samuijimmy found. They didn't have anything appealing to me, as they mostly do the flower arrangements and don't actually sell that vases, etc without going for the full flower package. I did get a few ideas though.
One in Nathon was great and I bought a few small bamboo baskets for the tables.
Thank you all again for your help. It is much appreciated!

Yes I do have a multiple entry non-immigrant B visa obtained from outside of the country. Was asked twice and been told both times that had I not had it on me they may have cancelled my visa.
I always have it on my when I do border runs just in case.
