  1.

Can any of you driving a new / newer Ford Ranger honestly tell me if the Ranger is so terrible that some on this forum says.
Seems like the truck is more at the garage then on the road...

Tell me how long you have own the truck and km, what you like about it and what have been the problems with it.

I like the design, and from what I understand it is also the safest truck on the market. In the case of purchase, I'll go for 2.2 4x2 Wild Track.

I want HONEST answers from Ranger owners, not Ford haters who have never owned such a car.

I'm very confused. Reads much good about the car, but also a lot of negatives here on the forum.

  2. Staying up in Khon Kaen, and thinking of moving. Consider moving back to Bang Saen, a place we enjoyed very much.

But at the same time, so I miss the nice beaches on Kho Samui. Have visited the island a few times, but it's not the same as and so you live there ;-)

Some of you will share posetive or negative experiences with it and live there?

What about crime? Is it as bad as I've been told? Is it an expensive place and stay?

Can I rent a small house for 15000 THB per month. or cheaper?

Some areas that one should not stay?

Thank you in advance for any help;-)

  3. A high proportion of fashion jewelry produced in Thailand is gold plated jewelry. Thailand produces massive amounts of gold plated jewelry most for export and a little for home consumption. Gold Plated Necklaces, Bracelets, Rings, Chains, Cufflinks, Bangles, Tiaras, Crucifixes, Earrings are just a few of the products on offer.

I am looking for a online store (Webshop) who offer low prices 925 Sterling Silver to the Thai marked.

Any of you who has a link to some good shop?

  4. In terms of sales, Toyota and Ford have been locked in a battle for the top of the charts with the Hilux and Ranger, a feat which was impressive for the Hilux given that it was essentially 10 years old.

It has finally been replaced and we gathered together the new 2016 Toyota Hilux 4x4 and facelifted 2015 Ford Ranger together for a head to head review.

We took the bakkies offroad at Klipbokkop, a legendary 4x4 testing facility in the Western Cape for this comparison.

  5. If it was a question of of the WT 2.2L 2WD vs the 3.2L 4x4, where there's 200K gap, I wouldn't suggest anyone buy the 3.2L unless they actually need 4x4.

However, if you do actually need 4x4 I'd recommend the 3.2L version. Adaptive cruise is a great feature (it actually make cruise useful in TH), as are front parking sensors - especially if you have dogs. I haven't tried the frontal collision system, but I do have to say I'm not a fan of the lane keeping system.

I agree, the 4x4 2.2 is quite slow. I it's mainly for around town the 2wd 2.2 is adequate. Even the 3.2 4x4 is not all that 'fast' 0-100, and only a bit quicker than the 2.2 2wd. I'd go only for the 3.2 if 4wd is really needed.

Will the ranger ever get the 4wd system of the everest so it can be driven on hard roads in 4wd (like the superselect of the triton)?

But in the 2.2 2WD you dont get 6 airbags and all of the extra that I mention for the 3.2 4WD in my OP;-)

  6. Is 3.2L Wildtrak 4x4 6AT worth the extra 100,000 compared to 4x4 2.2L Wildtrak 4x4 6AT?
I mean YES, my friend thinks it's a waste of money?
3.2L Wildtrak 4x4 6AT comes with some extra Equipment (new 2016 model) which should be included on this assessment as, for example:
Adaptive Cruise Control - Forward Collision Warning System - Lane Keeping System - Driver Alert System and Front Parking Sensor.
Have considered this for a while now and is well concluded that 100,000 extra so you get a lot of equipment for money ... plus a powerful engine;-)))
  7. Have considered getting me a classic car here in Thailand, and the election has become a 1994-1995 Mercedes-Benz S500L.

Have always wanted such a car, pretty and look at and most importantly, safe. Built like a tank, but use as much gasoline as tank also if one is a little too hard on foot;-))).

The best and last of the classic Mercedes sedan.
Having owned a few Mercedes cars in Norway, and has been pleased with them.
But I know little about and owning an old Mercedes here in Thailand, so I ask you what you think about a W140 S500L?

Gets hold of used parts here in Thailand, or you have to book this yourself basis of E-bay or other sources?
The engine for the older Mercedes are mostly durable, but it's an old car so things can happen. Hope and find a car that is not driven more than 200,000 KM and has great service book.
So what are your thoughts about and buy such a car here in Thailand? This is a car that should not be used daily.

  8. We experience power outages a few times per month, now 10 minutes to several hours.
Sli has been in the 4 years I've lived here, does not seem that they are able to fix this problem, either in terms of knowledge or money.
Someone who can recommend a simple and straightforward way to answer this?
I wish that this solution connects automatically when we have a power outage, so I can still use electricity for lights and fans.
Would be nice if it also could drive all in the house, including 1-2 aircon.
What do you consider that such a solution will cost and how you can buy what you need?
